22/08/2025: I dined here with my family a couple of times in July 2025, and it was a delightful revelation. The fish is simply prepared, and the traditional dishes are perfect in flavor and presentation, with no frills or frills, like the "thousand salt pans" or the bizarre combinations that often serve to hide less-than-fresh or poor-quality fish. In short, they have quality fish and know how to treat it. The place is small but welcoming. The only drawback is the location: it's off-center and faces a street without even a sidewalk; a post-dinner stroll is not recommended.

21/08/2025: A regular at the restaurant, "Le Lanterne" has been a regular stop every summer with my family for years now, and it continues to be a convivial occasion characterized by delicious food, extremely courteous staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.

02/10/2025: Nice atmosphere. The piadinas aren't the best, but it's hard to be disappointed. The price isn't too high.

07/09/2025: Excellent piadina shop! Homemade dough, truly delicious and easy to digest. The piadinas are filled with fresh, quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and service is quick. A place I'll definitely return to!

13/11/2025: The restaurant was recommended highly by our hotel. We're so glad we tried this restaurant! It was a pleasant surprise after a long first day of touring Rome. We opted to eat outside since the weather was lovely but the mosquitoes were having a feast day with our daughter's ankles and we requested to move inside. Though many tables were reserved for the night, the staff quickly helped us to an inside table. We picked several different menu items, which were all tasty and satisfying. The service was also quick and friendly. Truly enjoyed our meal and would go back again when we are back in Rome.

25/10/2025: After a very long day I was thrilled to see this restaurant on our block. Ana was amazing and I told her some of the things I typically like and told her I would take any suggestions she had. Ana’s recommendations were perfecto! We will back again before our trip is over.

10/11/2025: Unfortunately, the good old days of Belli's bakery seem to have changed, and quite dramatically. The products have suffered a serious decline in quality and even a significant price increase. To top it all off, and to stay on topic, a very, very bad personality trait has emerged among the staff who work in contact with the public... I'll give it another try, hoping I stumbled upon it at the wrong time during my last visit.

11/10/2025: We came here because of this pastry shop's reputation. The atmosphere is pleasant and the garden is beautiful, but the quality of the pastries was truly mediocre. We ordered cream puffs, cannoli with cream, and fruit pastries. Very disappointing.

25/08/2025: The atmosphere is intimate and warm, exceptionally peaceful; despite the fairly busy road in front, we didn't hear a single car pass by. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and displays a singular passion for his craft. During dinner, he explained in detail the provenance and uniqueness of every single ingredient used in the dishes. Not being a wine expert, I took his advice and, if I could, I would have ordered two more bottles of that wine (a Palombo Bianco delle Chiaie). All this for a price so low it seems like a steal. I've already started recommending the wine shop to everyone I know and will definitely be back; it's worth it to try every dish on the menu.

25/06/2025: Stopped into this restaurant based on the reviews and so glad we did. My wife and I were the only customers inside. The owner took great care of us! He curated the wine list and offered a great recommendation! The food was excellent and the service was even better. I highly recommend stopping in here for some wonderful food and better Italian hospitality!

11/05/2025: The Food was okay, the pasta was bland. The waitresser one was nice but brought dirty glasses. The other one was unfriendly. The wine was nothing special. I asked for one to go with my food, but it didnt went well with it, nor was it tasty to drink alone. I wanted a wine card, havent gotten one, so i needed to ask the waitresser. Wouldt go there again, just ate it because i was hungry.

25/10/2025: A unique place to rediscover traditional flavors. The owner, Domenico, is exceptional.

01/09/2025: A charming trattoria, still in its 1970s glory, complete with a telephone booth. The charming gentleman welcomes us like a local. The set menu is unpretentious, and for €20 you can't get more: fettuccine with meat sauce, a main course of skewered sausage, with baked potatoes, water, wine, coffee, and amaro.

12/11/2025: Excellent restaurant with Gluten free food.

11/11/2025: All the appetizers were gluten-free. We had Ascoli olives, breaded anchovies, and supplì, all excellent. One broccoli and sausage pizza, one Quattro Stagioni pizza, one carbonara pasta dish, and other gluten-containing dishes. Everything was excellent, and everyone was satisfied. The AIC certification was clearly displayed. Excellent service. The place was reasonably sized, quiet, and not noisy; a wonderful experience.

01/11/2025: We return every year for the full menu. Kindness and friendliness are the hallmarks! Fixed price including appetizer, first course, second course, and wine.

15/10/2025: Historic venue in a prime location. Large outdoor and indoor spaces. The quality of service and customer service have deteriorated significantly over the years. The afternoon crowds are rather unpleasant. It picks up again in the evening.

29/09/2025: A delicious mixed platter accompanied by a sparkling wine from Abruzzo and a Pinot Noir from Friuli. Outside dining is also available. Excellent service, helpfulness, and a smile. See you soon!!!

15/06/2025: Nice, well-kept and welcoming place. Very kind staff. Excellent coffee. The place offers quick lunches and aperitifs that you can also enjoy in the outdoor garden.

09/06/2025: Excellent! Very kind staff, amazing hood, large and well-kept environment with outdoor seating, in a perfect location. The only downside is the smokers outside. You often have to walk through a blanket of smoke and sitting outside with a child becomes impossible if you don't want to breathe in cigarette smoke.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella! Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway. The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes. The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome. We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.

23/07/2025: Amazing lunch experience under the vines. Meals and wine were superb, service was first class and atmosphere was next level fabulous. Really enjoyed. Highly recommend.

14/08/2025: We were a group of three friends looking for a restaurant in Grottaferrata for dinner. We considered three or four within a 100-meter radius, but none of them were entirely convincing. Finally, we found La Roncola, which had a high rating and was well-regarded by many, and we set off. Since a young woman with us had dietary restrictions, we looked for the menu at the entrance to clear up any doubts, but we couldn't find one. Tired of searching further, however, we requested a table and sat down. After a few minutes, we were asked if we'd like water, which was promptly brought to us. A few more minutes passed, and a waitress came to our table and asked if we were ready to order. We told her we weren't ready yet because no one had brought us menus, and she promptly replied that there were no menus and that she would list the dishes available for that evening: four or five appetizers, four or five first courses, three second courses, and a few side dishes. Puzzled by the lack of a menu but hungry, we considered ordering two or three appetizers to share, but were told we couldn't split the appetizer because it included all the listed courses, and that if we thought it was too much, we could order a single course at most. Puzzled by the refusal, we decided to order just one appetizer anyway (even though we would have ordered more), choosing one main course from the three available, and three side dishes. In short: one water, one appetizer (three meatballs), three strips (200g of grilled meat seasoned with oil and salt, €25 per dish), three side dishes, and one coffee cost us a whopping €100. Since the bill didn't seem fair for what we'd eaten, we pointed out that restaurants are required to display a menu, so they can give customers the option to choose whether or not to order. We were told that if we asked for the menu, we would have it. A truly irritating attitude. To top it all off, we paid part of the bill in cash, and of course, there was no receipt.

02/07/2025: Very intimate restaurant, with a menu of land and sea. We chose in 4 adults all seafood courses, while his girls took a half plate of pasta each. Very kind and helpful waitress, the friendly and present owner, very good food (including raw!!!) We will definitely be back!
