01/11/2025: A lovely trattoria outside the city walls. From the outdoor tables, at the edge of an olive grove, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Roman countryside, from Mount Soratte to Terminillo. Excellent preparations. They also serve pizza for lunch. The grilled meats are delicious. Friendly staff and fast service. Average prices.

27/10/2025: Last Sunday, at the suggestion of a friend and encouraged by the good reviews I'd read, I came to this place. However, I realized the reviews weren't accurate: this place isn't comfortable, but GOOD, GOOD, GOOD! Ample, easily accessible parking; ample outdoor seating with a FANTASTIC view of the Minterotondo valley (it will become my "battlefield" next summer, when I go "out of town" for lunch/dinner); a casual atmosphere, but always characterized by the utmost courtesy and customer service. However, considering the core business of every restaurant—the quality of the cuisine—I can only give it a full TEN WITH HONOURS. A few dishes, all flavorful, demonstrating the use of fresh, quality products, supposedly (but I believe it) locally sourced! I especially ordered a sausage with mustard sauce, both homemade, which struck me as DELICIOUS, and as an experienced and seasoned gourmet like me, it's not easy to get carried away. The price was very fair, both for the amount ordered and for the average customer base of this type of restaurant. I'll definitely be back, and as an experienced contributor, I encourage community members to do the same. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

08/12/2025: Very nice atmosphere, delicious food. We went for a wine tasting for two, a truly excellent cheese and cured meat platter. And to finish, a delicious panettone tasting.

13/09/2025: The restaurant also has outdoor tables, but they're sheltered by a structure. They serve meat and seafood dishes, as well as pizza. The staff is very courteous and helpful. At lunchtime, they also offer set menus with no cover charge, to accommodate workers and office workers. They offer a dessert at the end of the meal.

11/06/2025: You eat very well spending the right amount. Impeccable service and very nice and kind owner. The location also has a small children's area where the little ones can play.

03/11/2025: I stopped by chance in this place, I can say that it is an excellent restaurant for its dishes with fresh and tasty products, excellent pizza, if I pass through those parts again I will definitely go there ... I also recommend it for the kindness and ability of a superb service.

02/11/2025: An old, dirty, light-blue convenience store couch stuns us at the entrance. The pizza is paper-thin, single-flavor, dry, and burnt. The fried foods are soaked in oil and frozen, horrendous. Let's skip the beer. Absolutely not! Not recommended.

27/11/2025: I've known this restaurant for years, and unfortunately the food is no longer worth it. The Neapolitan menu is poorly cooked. Fried food is reheated and hard. The sea bass gnocchi have a base of water, not sauce. Tasteless Caprese ravioli. Now it's only good for foreign tourists with no discerning palate. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the selection of biscuits and custard is a real eye-catcher, but I won't be returning. They'd also lost my reservation, but luckily there was a table for six available.

08/11/2025: Spectacular supplì in every possible variety. Excellent pizzas and good wine with a reasonable markup. Desserts are above average for most pizzerias. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. The price is reasonable for the quality and excellent service.

06/12/2025: We went for lunch to celebrate my son's Master's degree. The atmosphere was lovely, the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The tagliolini allo scoglio were excellent. Then we went for a walk on the lake. What more could you ask for?

25/07/2025: The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming. They're very friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they care deeply and take pride in their business. Excellent products and fair prices, especially the freshly filled Sicilian cannoli, which are truly amazing. Highly recommended.

25/06/2025: A giant WOW! We relied on them for the buffet of my daughter's first birthday and it was a great success. Punctuality, kindness and above all the goodness of what we ate was superb. Well done!

20/11/2025: A snobbish place where you're forced to buy both food and drinks or you can't sit at the table, and if you're over 12, they don't allow you to order a muffin. Children aren't welcome: my 3-year-old son was scolded by the owner for pacing with his feet and singing, or rather "screaming," in his words. She said it would scare the cats, but perhaps those cats need a bit of real life instead of a dimly lit, sleepy loft studio apartment. We won't be returning.

19/11/2025: I went to this bistro with cats for the first time - I had a great time - the atmosphere was quiet and warm ❤️ 🫖 🐱 I recommend it for studying and hanging out with friends, and even for couples. I'll also try it for dinner with friends 🩷

25/10/2025: There were 13 of us on the sofas, but there weren't enough seats, so they gave us stools... Well-made cocktails. There wasn't table service; we had to go to the bar. However, I saw that table service is available. The atmosphere is characterized by soft red lighting, nude paintings, and other interesting things.

18/11/2025: Fabulous pizza by the slice!!! Well-stocked counter with a wide selection of products. Not only fantastic pizzas, but also delicious fried foods and calzones. Friendly and professional staff. A perfect place for a quick lunch break or a delicious dinner. Quality and fresh products. Highly recommended!!! Great prices, light and crispy dough, a wide variety of flavors, and, above all, a truly professional service... Not to be missed!!!

The ingredients are top-quality, and each course is prepared with taste and care. The value for money is excellent: you eat well for a reasonable price. 27/11/2025: A must-do in Maccarese when you're returning to or visiting Fregene. The world's most smiling couple. I feel at home at Zio Mauro's, they never disappoint. A magical place, simple and authentic dishes cooked with heart and tradition. Any excuse is a good one to stop by and try their dishes and their new creations. A special welcome from Mauro, Marcella, Cinzia, Ursula, and Rosi. *You have to go there, otherwise you'll only enjoy half of it.
