30/11/2025: Today I celebrated my 60th birthday at this truly splendid, welcoming, and relaxing Agriturismo in Palombara Sabina (RM), with large olive groves, gardens, and play areas for children. The restaurant is beautiful, with exposed wooden beams throughout. The food is excellent, excellent quality, beautifully cooked. The staff is very kind, professional, attentive, and friendly. Many thanks to the two young owners for the excellent lunch. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!

19/05/2025: Intolleranze al glutine e lattosio? Non c'è problema, ho mangiato la tartare di tonno più buona di sempre. Freschissima, equilibrata, tonno e frutti, andate a provarla. Locale accogliente, gentilissimi ( ci siamo presentati alle 14 ). Il modo perfetto per concludere o iniziare una giornata al mare. Ottimi prezzi così da evitare fast food. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

06/03/2026: I've been here many times and I really liked it. The place is beautiful and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are super kind and friendly, they make you feel at ease right away. The service was fast and very organized. The food is truly exquisite, everything is delicious! I highly recommend it if you want to spend a nice time in a beautiful place and eat well. The best in all of Casamari, nothing bad to say.

14/09/2025: As soon as I got my gelato... pure delight, but let's start from the beginning. A kind young lady welcomed me into this clean, white gelato shop and enthusiastically explained the characteristics of some of the gelatos that piqued my curiosity (for example, the smoked salmon with pink peppercorn, a must!), but I opted for a classic hazelnut and pistachio one so I could compare it to other gelato shops, definitely in Rome's top 5. Fair prices, excellent gelato, extraordinary hospitality, and a clean place! Highly recommended!

26/12/2025: A very popular pub for young people, where I found the prices to be fair, the food good, and the beers don't taste like water! You can also watch Serie A and other important matches there! Recommended.

22/02/2026: My partner, my son, and I had lunch today. The welcome was very friendly, but the food was mind-blowingly good value. An appetizer on a board with a couple of slices of cold cuts each (ham, mortadella, loin, salami), a bowl of ricotta, and a slice of mortadella each, cooked on the grill, cost €45. Then the first courses arrived, no comment... the ingredients were low-quality... we basically got up, paid the €95 bill, and ran away. There was just something to discuss, but given the small place and the people who were eating, I preferred to leave. I won't add anything else, even if there is something to say...

16/02/2026: A family Sunday... This is what my partner and I spent yesterday in this magical little corner. It was our first time, but with the owners, it was as if we had known each other for years. Hospitality, friendliness, and a very characteristic atmosphere. The food? Well, even though we had just had breakfast, we didn't miss a thing, from the superlative appetizer (made with quality products), to the homemade pasta with flavorful yet delicate wild boar ragù, to the Roman braciola. And then what do you do? Not having a dessert? That amaretto semifreddo... truly TOP. We'll make sure to be in the area some other time, because we know where to stop. See you soon

28/08/2025: My partner and I went to this butcher shop two nights ago to stock up on meat, and I waited to write my review because we wanted to try all the meats we bought first: chicken, heifer meatballs, picanha, Angus, pork loin, sausages, and even the dried liver sausages. Well, what can I say... I've never eaten such good meat in the area, speaking of butchers... What struck us most was the quality: during cooking, the meat didn't shrink as often happens; in fact, it actually seemed juicier and more fragrant. For some cuts, we even forgot to add salt or seasoning, the natural flavor of the meat was so good and flavorful. The quality-price ratio is, in my opinion, excellent. Furthermore, the owner is a wonderful person: extremely kind, clear in his explanations, and extremely helpful. He cut our meat with great care; for example, he cut and deboned the chicken into perfect pieces (breast, wings, thighs, etc.). From now on, this will definitely be our go-to butcher. Highly recommended!

05/01/2026: Remembering the excellent experience I had at the 2024-2025 New Year's Eve dinner/show, I decided to book at the same venue again this year, bringing along a group of friends. However, right from the booking stage, I noticed marked differences from last year, with bureaucracy worthy of the worst ministry and an embarrassing general disorganization (for example, if you ask to pay by bank transfer, you must be able to manage the transfers and keep track of them without bothering paying guests). Unlike last year, the aperitif portion was completely missing, which alone was worth a good portion of the cost. We basically sat directly at the table and waited a long time for the appetizers, of which the only noteworthy items were the raw red shrimp and scampi, while the tartare was rather bland and the little else was just adequate. After an hour, the first course arrived; it wasn't bad, but the bisque was overly flavorful, perhaps too thin. For the second course, we had to wait until 11:40 PM, more than an hour and a half after the first. The quality wasn't top-notch either, with the amberjack being very dry and chewy. Dessert, however, arrived well after midnight, and only for a few. For the others, I had to find a waiter and hurry. The midnight countdown was also late: Bobbo was evidently too focused on the song (or himself?), so much so that he started counting from minus two. Shame! The paltry fireworks (I always compare them to the previous year's) were even later, going off ten minutes after midnight and done only because they had to be done. And the party favors, which had been present the previous year, were completely missing, and their cost must have been so high that the owners were worried. The wines deserve a special mention: the menu distributed at the time of booking mentioned Franciacorta sparkling wines, with no indication of a maximum number of bottles. We only discovered this during dinner, when I asked for another bottle and was handed a bill for €100 (the usual rate at the same restaurant is around €60). The worst part was that the wine was warm and was brought to the table but not opened for us. Not that it's a difficult thing, but a restaurant of that caliber that charges so much for a single bottle should at least have the good sense to chill it and open it once it's brought to the table. Another indication on the poster was that it mentioned "show & performer": thinking about last year, I expected there to be a dance group, but there wasn't one. Nor can I believe that the indication referred to the band in the room, which in fact had its own indication on the poster. The band: I'm not arguing anything except the inadequacy of the sound system. To save money, you can't just place the speakers around the band because the diners at nearby tables will go deaf and can't chat. A piece of advice to Bobbo: for next time, buy or rent some more speakers to place in the corners of the rooms; it's technically feasible, even if it comes at a cost. Finally, the space for those who wanted to try their hand at a dance routine was truly meager, practically in the middle of the tables. But what do we want? The main goal was to get as many paying guests in as possible, and then never mind the rest. It's clear that Il Vistamare has suffered a major decline in style and quality. It's a real shame because I've been a customer for a long time and have always been satisfied. I certainly won't consider it again for New Year's Eve, nor can I recommend it to anyone. I just hope that, if anyone is reading this, they'll do some serious soul-searching and correct their mistakes; it would be a shame to lose a venue that has always been top-notch.
