19/12/2025: We visited Castell'Arquato a couple of weeks ago...a very picturesque place, definitely worth a visit.
We stumbled upon this gelateria by chance, and...boom...the best gelato I've ever tasted...the truly traditional and unique location certainly sets the mood for a positive experience...but the gelato is truly exceptional for the intensity of the aromas and flavors it conveys to the palate, while also maintaining a good consistency.

The service is fair.
The problem arises when, despite their mistake on some dishes, they don't remove it from the bill, charging you for a dish you didn't eat.

The waitress (Chiara) was excellent
The cured meats, castellacci with porcini mushrooms, and lamb were excellent. We'll definitely be back.
15/02/2026: We found ourselves at this beautiful restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner. The staff were very young, well-prepared, and very polite.
We ate really well, the food was exceptional. We definitely won't miss a second visit to this restaurant, and to this enchanting village.

You can also eat in if you're a limited number of people, as seating is limited.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful.
The pizza selection is excellent, and changes frequently with tasty ideas.
They're as precise as Swiss clocks when it comes to takeout.

02/03/2026: Welcoming place, good service, dishes (pork with polenta and guinea fowl) served cold. If they had been hot, they would have been even better.
25/02/2026: A restaurant with a beautiful view of the Piacenza hills, well worth the drive up the hill. The decor is classic and welcoming, reflecting the local atmosphere. We dined with colleagues, and the waiters and owner were very friendly. The traditional cuisine was excellent. The homemade pasta was delicious and truly artisanal. The focus was on seasonality and local products. That evening, since mushroom season was in full swing, we were treated to a fresh porcini mushroom salad and fried porcini mushrooms...spectacular.
Overall, an excellent restaurant for those who want to experience local flavors and Piacenza traditions.

09/03/2026: The food was very good and reasonably priced. The place is quite small, and when it's full, it can be a bit noisy and difficult to talk.
08/03/2026: Inspired by the excellent reviews, I booked here. My personal experience was negative, both for the deafening noise of screaming children and dragging chairs, and for what I ordered: Piacenza DOP cured meats; coppa was neither good nor bad, pancetta was salty, salami was just okay, and the cooked shoulder was good, as was the torta fritta.
The macaroni was bland and unrelated to the stew.

15/02/2026: A welcoming and well-maintained trattoria just outside the center of Castel Arquato, with a very pleasant traditional style. The staff is friendly and attentive, the service is quick, and the food is truly delicious. The wine is also excellent, available both by the bottle and in bulk. Very reasonable prices: high quality for a small price. Highly recommended.
07/02/2026: I was here for dinner and had pizza. It's not my favorite type of pizza, so take that as a personal opinion: I found it a bit dry, but for those who like crispier pizza, it might be a good choice.
The pizzas aren't big, but the prices are very fair: a €5 Margherita is a rarity these days.
The apple pie with gelato, on the other hand, was excellent—really good.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, a simple, no-frills place with excellent value.

07/03/2026: An old-fashioned pastry shop with traditional cakes, the most famous of which is the Vigolo cake. The owner is very kind and helpful. There's a pleasant "once upon a time" feel to the place.
06/03/2026: Refreshed, with an incredible display of cakes and cookies, extremely inviting.
The quality of the products is well worth a trip to the slightly remote village of Vigolo Marchese, nestled in a pleasant hilly setting, rich in vineyards and wineries producing excellent local wine.

26/12/2025: The pizza was inedible, it looked like a stuffed cracker, the fries were cold, and the side dishes ran out at 7:30 pm. The cured meats and the typical dish were good.

07/12/2025: Welcoming place. Kind and polite people. The food is delicious. Lots of choices on the menu, lots of types of cheese.... I'll be back as soon as I can.
20/08/2025: I went to Gastronomia 00 with high hopes, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The food was rather subpar: stale bread and pizza, bland-tasting brioche, no desserts, seemingly mediocre-quality hams... and overall, the food was more reminiscent of a school cafeteria than a refined deli. The atmosphere, too, seems stuck in the '70s, and not in the nostalgic sense of the word. Dated furnishings and an atmosphere reminiscent of the past, but without that vintage charm that makes you say, "How lovely."

16/02/2026: The atmosphere is beautiful, it feels like being inside a castle, the food is good, the owner is a bit cold in her manner, not welcoming, the price is definitely too high, €65 for two for a first course and a glass of wine, the cover charge of €7 (for two) is unheard of... only in Italy does it exist... I don't think I would go back.
15/02/2026: The three of us ate, the first one they gave me, tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, was awful.

17/08/2025: Despite my widespread ignorance, I often went to get pizza to go, because pizza is really good. Then the ignorance thermometer reached intolerable levels, and so I thought it's better if they eat the pizza themselves.
26/07/2025: Thin and wide pizza, well-cooked and easy to digest. The rustic location is secluded among the hills, with ample parking. Not romantic, but very suitable for groups. The service is discreet, but when full, waiting times can be long.
