Not a tourist trap, an attentive and caring boss.
Traditional, quality, homemade food. For a very reasonable price
15/08/2024: Pleasant tavern located a stone's throw from the center. Small internal room but with the possibility of settling outside away from the sun and in peace as it is outside the main promenade. Good selection of wines. Bizarre but useful (touristy...) the idea of offering not only a typical meat and cured meat menu but also a fish menu (???). Good cured meats, light and non-greasy fried pie. Abundant and delicious first courses, I suggest the truffle and culatello carbonara: exceptional! Good and carefully prepared desserts. Service a little slow but probably since it's mid-August that's okay. I count absolutely within the norm. Advised.

24/08/2024: Impeccable service, very kind and professional waiter, menu recited from memory, well-kept furnishings with an elegant style. But the price does not reflect the portions per quantity. Truly negligible, especially in the second courses... three small pieces of octopus, three invisible ribs. It's a shame because you can't send a hungry customer home. You can be aware of paying a lot but by eating (not by binging but not even by touching the air)... somewhere in between?

24/07/2024: I always find excellent cuisine in a family environment. We always enjoy going there. Mrs. Fausta is a top restaurateur.
21/07/2024: The view is stupendous in a quiet place, we returned for the second time for a much appreciated dish, which was not on the menu but upon request we were satisfied, the mushroom tortelli, recommended.
The fried pie with mixed cured meats was also good, the desserts were normal.
The staff is kind and helpful.

10/08/2024: The authentic Vigolo cake, impossible to reproduce in its goodness. Simply unmatched. And the quality/price ratio is very honest, given that, elsewhere, simple copies are paid more. This dessert alone is worth the whole trip out of town to get to the town from Piacenza. Next time I will definitely try the sbrisolona and the tarts.

12/07/2024: Siamo stati oggi per pranzo (o aperitivo) in questo locale. Location top all' interno della piazza adiacente alla rocca, qualità degli affettati fantastica ma soprattutto Giorgia è stata una vera padrona di casa e ci ha fatto sentire veramente bene.

14/08/2024: If you have food problems such as allergies and intolerances I do not recommend this place. Precisely because I know about the problems that these allergies can cause, I had previously called the restaurant to find out if there was availability of a first course that did not have gluten, eggs and milk products, we had been reassured that we would find what we requested but when we arrived the waitress said that I have never heard of a pasta that is gluten-free and egg-free (which would be any gluten-free pasta that is not fresh pasta but that is another matter). Following this problem, the allergic girl had to look at the menu again. Not being Italian, she had to translate it given the lack of an English-language menu, so it took some time and the waitress kept rushing us, pretending that those who didn't he had food problems while he ordered (but we couldn't because if the allergic girl hadn't found a solution we would have had to change restaurants). In the end the girl had to settle for a plate of ham and potatoes.
In addition to this inconvenience we did not appreciate the attitude of the waitress, it seemed very much like false courtesy.
The food itself was also good but the portions were very very small especially considering the price.
