14/05/2025: I went to dinner at this restaurant with colleagues. The restaurant is very nice and welcoming, but it doesn't have a dedicated parking lot. Being in Salsomaggiore, I can imagine that during periods of high tourist influx there is little parking, even though in this period (May) on Tuesday we found a place quite easily. It is a family-run restaurant, the lady who served us was very kind, but unfortunately the service was extremely slow: for an appetizer, a first course and a dessert I think two and a half hours is too long. Even though the lady explained to us that they didn't expect to receive so many reservations on a Tuesday, in my opinion this is not an excuse: if you keep the restaurant open and accept reservations, as a professional you must be able to serve everyone adequately. Decent food, but all in all nothing particularly exciting.

17/03/2025: Scorrendo le immagini sul sito web del ricco menù e della rifornita cantina si ha subito la sensazione della cura nel dettaglio pienamente confermata da una visita. Siamo stati a pranzo con una coppia di amici siciliani che hanno apprezzato la qualità e la cura delle portate. Ancora una volta Annamaria ed Angelo hanno contribuito a farci passare qualche ora piacevole in un ristorante raffinato dove la qualità è di casa.

25/06/2025: I went on a warm summer evening with some colleagues to the Osteria del Gatto Nero for the first time, and the surprise was very pleasant, we sat on a cool terrace surrounded by greenery, accompanied by excellent food, local wines accompanied by attentive and professional staff. 08/07/2025: I had about an hour and a half before my train and was looking for a spot to relax, read a little, chat with a friend, and grab a quick bite. Cafeteria Galliera was perfect for that. It’s close to Bologna Centrale, which makes it super convenient for a pre-train stop. I ordered a cappuccino and a prosciutto sandwich, along with a pastry (not pictured), and everything was fresh and satisfying. The prices were amazing—especially by Canadian standards. It felt like such good value for what I got. The staff were friendly, and the service was fast, which I really appreciated with limited time. I sat at one of the outdoor tables, which were shaded and caught a nice breeze—perfect for unwinding without the heat getting in the way. Overall, it was a great little café experience. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever passing through Bologna again.

Chambres très confortables et décorées avec soin, excellente cuisine traditionnelle avec des produits locaux de qualité. Établissement très calme en pleine nature. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont hyper accueillants et aimables, toujours prêts à rendre service. Je recommande vivement cette adresse.

28/05/2025: A fabulous location for a stopover or a longer stay to explore the region. A peaceful establishment surrounded by nature, with beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated rooms. The restaurant is also worth a visit, serving traditional cuisine made with fresh, local produce. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. I highly recommend this place.
