Sette Tavoli In Bologna

We visited this restaurant in our visit to bologna. We read some nice reviews online and we decided to give it a try since it had some good reviews about the famous beef ragu. A solid experience overall, friendly staff, no complaints on service, and the handmade, family-owned setting gives it genuine charm. That said, the ragù didn’t stand out for me: it lacked the depth and richness I was expecting. The pasta was also on the al dente side, closer to firm than tender, which may well be the authentic Bolognese standard, but it wasn’t to my taste. Would I return on my next visit to Bologna? Probably not, there are too many options in the city to repeat a restaurant that didn’t quite hit the mark. But if you value tradition and handmade cooking over bold flavour, it’s worth a visit.

A great way to end our trip in a city with incredible food. This place is kind of an Italian food with a French twist, which provides a nice diversion if you're looking for some variety in your dining experience. The tortelloni carbonara was particularly fantastic and the wine selection was astounding. It's also in a quieter part of town. Super friendly staff, too.

The food is Emilian-style: tagliatelle with ragù, one of them; once you've finished the pasta, you have the whole ragù to enjoy. For those who are innovators, there are also variations, which I personally leave to them. The staff is friendly, kind, and courteous, and very attentive to the customer's needs.

It has a wonderfully calm and impressive atmosphere. We had tartar, tortellini, and steak. We asked for wine and received recommendations. It was an incredible evening experience. The service, ambiance, and flavors were excellent. We highly recommend it. We weren't surprised by the price. Definitely visit.

A very elegant interpretation of classic italian dishes. Confident and competent service and a very good choice of interior and a rather romantic area outside. A very tasteful restaurant. The cute dog as the second Maître d‘ was the little cherry on top. :) Can absolutely recommend this place.

For our anniversary, we tried the tasting menu as a couple. Everything was delicious, and with the various courses, it became a very generous dinner. I especially loved the beef tartare (how boring, right? 🤣)

For me the best tagliatelle and sauce in town. Giando is amazing host.

Our last night in Bologna was our favourite dining experience! Lovely waitress, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. Everything was great, but the risotto with shrimp and licorice powder was especially delicious: simple and elegant yet experimental and so good.

Cozy, cute bistro with a very short menu and very long wine list. Limited selection for food but it's all done well, so enjoy if you're able to book a table.

A typical old-fashioned Bologna osteria, it's always a pleasure to visit. Simple, traditional dishes, good wine, and friendly service. The space is a bit small, so calling to reserve is highly recommended. The cutlet Bolognese is out of this world! But everything was impeccable, even the side dishes. We'll be back soon!
