13/07/2025: We visited the Mastrosasso farmhouse on a cool mid-July evening, excited and full of anticipation based on the excellent reviews of the place and the menu. We arrived in the late afternoon to enjoy the light and the location, which from the photos looked truly unique. Indeed, as soon as we arrived, we were struck by the beauty of the place: a marvelous view of the hills, well-organized outdoor tables, and an atmosphere worth the 40-minute drive. However, the food wasn't as good. We ordered a bottle of wine (decent), a tagliata (beef steak), a cotoletta alla bolognese (veal cutlet), and a dessert. The tagliata (beef steak) arrived rare (even though we'd asked for medium rare), and, more importantly, cold. The cotoletta was good, but not exceptionally good, because it also arrived cold. The dessert, a homemade mascarpone semifreddo, was good. In short, from a food perspective, we were disappointed. Probably the presence of a wedding made us lose sight of the dishes that, according to the reviews, they usually have. We'll be back to change our minds. Rossella and Tommaso

08/06/2025: We got there by chance, after visiting Grazzano Visconti we were looking for a pizzeria not far away, the destination was another random one found on Google Maps, then hunger took over and we wanted to stop first finding La Dea on the road, excellent choice I would say, in addition to the kindness, class and elegance of the owner who treated us like special guests, but I noticed that he is friendly and attentive with everyone, we ate a pizza I would say sublime, with the drink French fries and dessert coffee and after-dinner drink, barrel-aged grappa, I imagined we would pay a lot instead the price surprised us a lot, in Milan usually the same things, we pay double 😳 we will definitely return also because the music is live. 19/07/2025: A spacious and welcoming restaurant, like those of the past. The menu is extensive and varied, perfectly suited to all palates. The food is high-quality and quite plentiful. Service is quick, and the staff is very friendly and courteous. If I really have to find a flaw, it's the prices: a little high compared to local standards, but ultimately, it doesn't offer banal and simple dishes like other restaurants, so that may not be a flaw.

02/07/2025: We ate DIVINELY! Pasta with clams was really excellent, not to mention the mixed fried fish and the seafood appetizer. A small restaurant where the fish is excellent and fresh. I highly recommend it! Friendliness also from the staff, from the accompaniment to the table to the payment. A wonderful little gem in Gatteo if you want a well-made fish lunch or dinner.

27/06/2025: I'm sorry but all the declarations of intent on the properties and goodness of their piadina were wrecked at the tasting. Piada overcooked with unrelated ingredients. It must have been a bad day, I'm sure that next time, perhaps with less excitement for take-away, they will be able to present it more competitively. Small suggestion if I ask for squaqquerone and you don't have it, don't put stracchino without telling me in advance.
