08/09/2025: I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!! Delicious food, impeccable service, and the owner is the icing on the cake (he introduced himself to me as "Jessico" to put a smile on our faces as soon as we arrived). If you want to spend an evening with friends, enjoying good food and professional, yet friendly, and joke-ready staff, this is the place. My parents recommended it to me, and they weren't exaggerating when they said the food was amazing, and there was plenty of laughter to go along with it. Without a doubt, one of my favorite places!!

17/08/2025: Group lunch for about 20 people, during the Three Lakes Trail. Two tables for 10 had been reserved, but we were in different rooms, for some reason. The lunch was a fixed menu. The typical appetizer was pleasant. Next up was testaroli (nothing exceptional) or lasagna. The main course (sautéed) was saltimbocca alla romana or eggplant parmigiana. Dessert was panna cotta (a bit runny) or fiordilatte gelato with an industrial-strength topping. Water, wine (one carafe for many people), and coffee. Let's just say that for €35, you usually get better food in the Apennines. It's nice that I didn't order a main course, so I got a small discount. The decor is stuck in the '80s, but that's the least of our problems; we weren't expecting anything different.

28/10/2025: Our latest recent experience with a group of eight people was for dinner on a Friday. This trattoria has an old-world feel, is warm and welcoming, and nestled in the tranquility of the Bolognese hills (which in summer makes it easy to dine in the cool of the patio in front of the restaurant, which was once a summer residence of the noble Bentivoglio family of Bologna). Despite its location away from city traffic, reservations are always recommended to avoid wasted time, as those who know it are always happy to return even during the week to enjoy the quiet and good food. We enjoyed a sampling of the first courses (fresh homemade pasta) and then the 1.2kg Florentine steak with a side of baked potatoes, which didn't disappoint those from nearby Tuscany. Among the must-try dishes (besides the Florentine steak for meat lovers), I recommend the torta della nonna... which I personally love (one of the richest and most flavorful creams I've ever eaten). The quality/price ratio (especially if you order the Florentine steak) is absolutely superb. It's worth a trip on its own!

22/10/2025: I went there a while ago... I'm back now and I'm sorry but it's not like before... neither the meat... nor the desserts... we're barely passing the mark... what a shame

13/10/2025: Everything was excellent, especially the pasta, which was delicious. However, there were only two flaws: 1) the pasta dish isn't often sealed properly when it's taken out, and I end up with oil spilling out. 2) One of the staff insists that parmesan and pecorino/caprino cheese contain lactose, even though that's not true. Please inform yourself better and don't say anything if you don't know anything or don't know anything, because I know how to manage myself and I know what it's like. I just need to know the type of ingredient, because I'm not allergic, but I've been intolerant for 25 years, so I know how to manage. Otherwise, all the other people are very kind, and I'm happy with them.

16/09/2025: The cuisine is unique... I wouldn't give it 5 stars, but rather 6! The atmosphere is impeccably maintained and the staff are fabulous. We'll be back because you won't find anything better! A vast and varied selection for every discerning palate. Even the desserts are spoiled for choice. Various recommended dishes, and the zighini prepared by Araya is excellent. I also recommend the fried fish...better than some of the mixed fried fish you eat at the seaside, but also at home... Highly recommended

During the week, they offer a business lunch menu (first course, second course, and side dish, coffee, cover charge, 1/4 cup wine, and 1/2 cup water) for €14.00. Good food, generous portions, friendly and efficient staff, and competitive prices.

26/07/2025: Rooms i am not sure i only visit the restaurant. Food is exceptional. My favorite one in the area. Service is always fantastic too.

18/11/2025: I had lunch with a friend on Sunday. The food was business-style, but not for the prices. I had salmon ravioli with a tomato sauce that was simply perfect, and for the main course, a Ferrarese salami dish that was very similar to the mediocre Milano. Water and coffee were €22 each, terrible, especially since the menu didn't encourage much else.

08/11/2025: A wonderful experience in a delightful place! I had the opportunity to go tonight without anyone (mistakenly) recommending this wonderful restaurant/pizzeria, but simply by looking for a place to go and calling to confirm. Everything was delicious, and the woman who served me was simply excellent and attentive to everything, even the details that make this place unique. I love bread, especially Ferrarese bread, and since I had already devoured it shortly after, she very kindly brought it back. You feel right at home, and the food is delicious, as is the service. Thank you very much, I hope to return to Ferrara soon and visit again.

25/10/2025: excellent location to discover the Bolognese Apennines I stayed in this hotel from 17/10 until Wednesday 22/10/2025 but also last year this year the room was clean old yes but as I rightly heard it is not modernized because it hosts sports teams and maybe some damage would happen, then I had everything included for eighty euros what more could you ask for? overnight stay breakfast (fresh croissants juice and what you want) abundant restaurant dinner and good service we were very kind Baba very nice with me my sister and another couple stayed overnight listening to them I recommend you put a lighter bedspread in the wardrobe wifi working from the hotel ok in the village I hope to find it less neglected (closed shops an abandoned newsstand a grocery store and bakery abandoned with scaffolding for years) I sincerely hope to find it a little more lively

31/07/2025: We had an excellent pizza, super light and well-topped. Their mascarpone with cake was truly out of this world, and the price was absolutely right at €15 per person.

08/09/2025: On Saturday evening, with a friend, I only had a pizza. Once inside, no one greeted us at the entrance. We saw a room above, dimly lit and closed, and another lower down in the same condition. Trying to figure out who to ask for the reserved table, we crossed a sort of passageway on the right, which from above overlooked the kitchen, where the staff at work watched us without saying a word. Then, with gestures (nods only with their heads!!!), they let us know we were going the right way. We went down three or four steps, and found ourselves in front of the entrance to a dimly lit "veranda," with some transparent panels half-open and opaque, probably from wear. Finally, a waiter greeted us, and I asked him his name, and he showed us to a seat. The place was half-empty; the free tables were not set, making it seem even more desolate. The columns of the building have empty circular shelves at the top, probably once adorned with plants, and now empty, they were even sad. The pizza finally arrives, and the waiter immediately runs away, so we try calling him back for some spicy oil. The pizza wasn't bad at all, but not great either: the dough was soggy, sparsely topped, and once it cooled, he wouldn't eat it anymore. Too bad, the place has ample parking and the enclosed rooms were really very nice, so there was greater potential. But, given the low turnout last Saturday night, they decided to seat customers in that sort of run-down and sad, poorly maintained veranda. It seems like a "tired" place... hahahaha, tired of welcoming customers. Our intention was to try a pizza, then come back for other items on the menu, but but for my part, they can be sure that I will definitely not be returning. Good luck everyone.

25/08/2025: We had the pleasure of dining with some friends on Thursday. Kudos to the pizza chef! Awesome pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven... spectacular! Highly recommended.

08/09/2025: We had a family lunch outside, and the food deserves special mention: the high quality and attention to raw materials, the dishes were not banal and sophisticated, but without being overly unusual, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. The interior appears recently renovated, very well-kept and relaxed. Unfortunately, I can't give it more than 3 stars, as I would like, because the exterior clashes dramatically with the food and the interior, as if there were two very different managements. There's a lot of greenery with plenty of shade, along with a pool area and children's playground. But the children's playground is broken (better to throw away something broken than leave it there, right? It gives a sense of neglect), and we had three children who would have happily played there. The grassy area isn't particularly well-kept, and the pool didn't seem very clean. A special mention goes to the little bar, which also serves excellent spritzes! If the exterior were in line with the rest of the place, this place would get my 5 stars, and I'd come back for the pool too, even if I paid a little more.

23/08/2025: We came here for a family lunch. The place is charming, both the indoor and outdoor spaces (strictly shaded). The service is friendly and attentive. The portions aren't small, the mains are tasty, and the dishes are simple but authentic (the only flaw is the slightly thin filling for the cappelletti). The egg pasta, however, is superb, nice and thick and al dente. Prices are slightly higher than usual, but still reasonable.
