19/03/2026: Ever since we discovered the 50% off promotion with The Fork, we've been regulars at "La Scintilla." The cuisine is traditional Irpinia, but they also serve seafood. Whether meat or fish, the dishes are exquisite and beautifully prepared. I've yet to try their pizza. A special mention goes to the maître d', Pietro, who is always kind, friendly, and attentive in recommending dishes and meeting the needs of his guests.

07/12/2025: Every time I leave Naples, this bar is my favorite stop before reaching my beloved home in the charming Altavilla Irpina. Yesterday was a wonderful surprise: a beautifully renovated bar with great style and elegance. Fortunately, the management is still the same, because the owners are particularly welcoming and, above all, professionals in the sector. I recommend anyone to stop at this bar to relax for a few minutes before reaching their final destination.

20/09/2025: Despite the restaurant being half-empty, we ordered three courses and were served one. After complaining, we were told that the chef had forgotten our orders and that the main ingredient in the pinsa we ordered (burrata) was no longer available. Therefore, we were served a different pinsa than the one we ordered, topped with a nice little hair inside.

26/12/2025: The place is very welcoming, well-decorated, and the staff is friendly. The food is average, with some good things (the rabbit cacciatore, the mussels, the radicchio) and others less so (the octopus drowned in cheese, the bland squid ink arancini). The menu's prices are unclear, the daily specials are announced verbally, and the receipt only lists the total. You leave feeling like you've been out too early. And that's not a good thing; we won't be returning or recommending it to friends. I didn't think locals still pulled these tricks to earn a few extra euros. What a disappointment in such a beautiful place.

26/03/2026: Excellent pizza, clean and quiet atmosphere. Affordable and welcoming. Recommended. Updating. I've been back several times and I have to say I liked it better. The seafood, featuring traditional dishes, is truly excellent. But the rest is also appreciable, as is the final bill. For a night out, it's worth considering. Enjoy your meal.

07/03/2026: The first time I entered the restaurant was in 1993... I've been a loyal customer for 33 years. Never once dissatisfied.

28/02/2026: Location needs to be fixed up and reconsidered, very poor reception, typical second-rate delicatessen appetizer, first courses unpretentious, arrived barely more than lukewarm, the same goes for the meat, barely lukewarm, bitter, only one choice available, and served in a paper cup.

27/10/2025: Very friendly service, and the rooms were in very good condition, considering Italian and southern Italy conditions. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the hostess baked a chocolate cake herself, which was fresh and delicious. There's a chapel nearby. I highly recommend it.

01/09/2025: Nestled in the green Serino Mountains near Mount Terminio. A beautiful place to visit. The property is unfortunately neglected and in need of renovation. The staff is not at all welcoming; they don't even smile when you pay...

02/11/2025: We stumbled upon this trattoria because the place we'd chosen was packed. At first glance, we weren't expecting anything exceptional... a sparse place... a big screen blaring the game... a small town bar, in short, but we were hoping to at least eat authentic dishes... illusion!! Our appetizer was dry-cured ham and two (extra!) pieces of cheese (8 euros); after a twenty-minute wait, the first course arrived... pasta with ragù... as soon as the waiter put it on the table, an unmistakable burning smell hit our noses... we tried to taste it, but it was clear the ragù had stuck to the bottom of the pan... we pointed this out to the waiter... who responded by ignoring us for the next five minutes, even though he walked past us several times and it was clear we weren't even touching our plates. At that point, we asked for the bill and left... we were charged the full bill (the cost of the two inedible first courses was 20 euros!!). It's clear that certain people cannot be classified as belonging to the restaurant category... what a shame.

28/10/2025: Loved our lunch! They were super accommodating to our daughter’s preference and had excellent quality of ingredients. Inexpensive, especially the wine! Definitely well worth returning!

27/08/2025: Piero has been running this place for years, putting passion and dedication into everything he does, and with every visit, something has changed and it just gets better. The wine selection is vast, as is the varied and innovative food selection. The atmosphere is superb, warm in the winter and pleasant in the summer. The best in the historic center. Highly recommended!!

10/08/2025: A very welcoming venue in Avellino's historic center, perfect for an evening with friends or as a couple. We went for a drink on a summer evening and found live music (guitar/bass and vocals, rock blues) that made the atmosphere even more magical. We'll definitely be back.
