28/01/2025: Se c'è una cosa che detesto, quando sono invitato a cena in un'altra città da e con un gruppo piuttosto ampio di persone, è l'abitudine inevitabile degli ospitanti di ordinare subito "un antipastino per tutti". Perché so che il presunto antipastino acquisterà dimensioni pantagrueliche e, soprattutto si rivelerà buono, mi poterà ad intasare immediatamente il mio sistema gastrico, vietandomi di spaziare più ampiamente nelle succesive parti del menù. Ovviamente, anche qui è andata così, e tanto buoni erano gli affettati, la morbida pizza fritta ripiena, i formaggi, le frittatine e via ingoiando e masticando, che dopo c'era posto solo per un primo o un secondo. Fortunatamente, sentendo l'oste pronunciare la misteriosa parola "cardone", ho avuto la prontezza di informarmi subito su cosa fosse quel piatto, e la spiegazione mi ha convinto. Ho così potuto godermi una zuppa fra le più buone mai assaggiate, a base di cardi, appunto, ma contenente ogni bendiddio, dalla mozzarella di bufala all'uovo ai ceci e a svariate verdure e spezie, che nell'insieme hanno prodotto un sapore eccellente. Se si aggiunge una torta ricotta e pere di qualità altrettanto elevata, devo ringraziare sul serio chi mi ha invitato, e perdonare il vizio dell'antipastino. Naturalmente, il consiglio di provare questo ristorante al viandante è pienamente convinto.

14/01/2025: Ci era stato consigliato questo locale, a pochi passi dal centro e non siamo rimasti delusi anzi.. Locale non molto grande , quindi necessario prenotare, cucina casareccia con prodotti di qualità proveniente dalla masseria del gestore. Ottimo tutto , dall 'antipasto misto , ai fusilli fatti a mano con sugo di vitella , agli agnolotti al ragu di cinghiale e finendo con un bel babà gigante imbevuto con liquore tipico Strega. Servizio cortese , rapido e proprietario molto cordiale e disponibile. Consigliato senza indugi.

29/12/2024: I start from the assumption that coming from Turin I have never eaten such good sandwiches, but above all freshly made. I was in this pub two nights ago, since my girlfriend is from Battipaglia, I had a sandwich with parmigiana (superlative🤤). At the end of the dinner we had a liqueur (homemade). The place is quiet, suitable for families but also for couples, the music is not too loud. In short, if you want to spend a quiet evening, in good company, with good music and excellent food, this is the place for you. Ah, I forgot, for those coming by car, in front there is a large square used for FREE car parking.

23/02/2025: We were in this place last night, given that we had booked and actually found our table at 8pm, too bad they put us behind the pizza oven so our friend sitting there almost fainted from the heat. We asked to be moved but it wasn't possible. The food is excellent, the environment clean and well-kept, the staff attentive... maybe too much because you practically eat with the waiter breathing down your neck who gives you a terrible rush. Well, I wouldn't go back and I strongly advise against it on a Saturday night. Also because if you spend a lot of money to eat a sandwich you can't gorge yourself, when we said to let us finish the beers the waitress told us that they had a long wait outside and in response she brought us the bill. In short, the place is elegant.... but the management certainly isn't. I intend to return during the week to test if the problem is actually Saturday night... even if today many have adapted and in places of a certain level rushing the customer is considered rude. For the record, we entered at 8pm and there were 7 of us and at 8.45pm we were out...more than a relaxing sandwich it seemed like a packed lunch!

02/11/2024: Excellent service, probably family run. Both the first courses but especially the second courses, meat or fish, cooked perfectly. Desserts okay, limited but good choice. Probably the pizza was very good but we only had a focaccia which was excellent. The house wine not great, we expected better. Overall very good, I would definitely go back.
