Antica Taverna a Chiaia In Napoli

Incredibly overpriced. Ordered a mixed seafood platter at 25 euro and received a few bamboo clams and clams. The bamboo clams were overcooked and did not taste properly cleaned. My husband had a grilled octopus with stracciatella, which was perfectly cooked but the portion size was small. We left feeling unsatisfied.

We had a wonderful evening at Laura and her family's! The mother and daughters in the dining room, the brother in the kitchen—they all delighted us and made our time truly special. There were seven of us, and we enjoyed exquisite squid, delicious seafood, and shared pleasure! Thank you again for your warm welcome!

To be perfectly honest, we were put off by the reviews. To give you some context, we were with our two teenagers, and we were approached by a charming nun in the street, admittedly pleasant enough, like so many other alleyways further up towards the Spanish quarter. Looking for a budget between €10 and €20 per person, we were drawn to the grilled salmon at the bar, but once seated, we realized they were out. So we opted for less expensive dishes, notably the mozzarella and tomato, which looked tempting in the restaurant's website photo. Upon arrival, we were quite disappointed to find a mozzarella that, while a good size, was accompanied by a few halved cherry tomatoes—far too few to properly complement the meal. The children were disappointed not to have the salmon, which was the reason we had stopped there, so we ordered bruschetta and baked potatoes to stay within our budget. We took our order, but upon arrival, we received only one portion of potatoes, nicely spread out in the large dish, but it wasn't enough to fill a teenager! The shellfish pasta I ordered was good, although, once again, it didn't look anything like the picture on the menu... In short, a relative disappointment despite all the reviews we read. Admittedly, we didn't order the more expensive, sophisticated fish dishes, so we can't really judge them, but we chose this restaurant with a budget per person in mind, which kept it within our budget. However, we won't have any lasting memories of this meal! I think it's important to share our experience for families looking for a meal under €20 and who want to leave satisfied, which is possible if you head back up towards the Spanish Quarter nearby... We hope the three sisters don't send us on, but that's how it is to leave a review, which is entirely our own opinion! Thank you anyway for the prosecco and for your patience in freeing up a table.

A wonderful experience. We had lunch in a beautiful alley in Naples. The fish was incredibly fresh and excellent. The welcome was fantastic, from wonderful women who are only found in Naples. Thank you.

Beautiful place, I ate not well but very well, and the organization is also great. The three sisters Antonella, Maria, and Assunta are fantastic, they are incredibly friendly.

There are no words to describe this place, 5 stalls are really few..... The three sisters are nice, friendly and very kind..... We ate very well, I really recommend it to everyone..... Don't miss it if you are in Naples, salita Sant'Anna di palazzo

I am a Neapolitan and like all Neapolitans I am a selective taster of the "Genoese" Demanding and refined, well in this trattoria, I found a super excellent dish of this dish at an incredible price for the quality, the energy and involvement of Maura and the whole team make you feel at home; fast service very clean I highly recommend it I will return as a group with my team of serial tasters🤣🤣
