05/01/2025: We've been coming here long enough and the pizza has always been good, but tonight things didn't go so well. The first error was linked to the variations requested on the pizzas ordered: a gluten-free pizza without mushrooms and a normal pizza without a drizzle of oil. When the gluten-free pizza arrived, we were told: "We made it like this, if it doesn't go well we'll make it again", and the pizza was with mushrooms. Subsequently, the normal pizza arrived, but there was also a drizzle of oil. In order not to waste food and send the pizzas back for details (a drizzle of oil and some mushrooms), we decided not to say anything. The second problem was that the gluten-free pizza was practically raw: the mozzarella had not melted and the dough was still cold. I give 3 stars instead of 2 because, as mentioned before, we have been coming here for quite some time and the pizza has always been good. Maybe next time we will need a little more attention when preparing the pizzas and reading the orders.

27/12/2024: Excellent pizza. Very efficient and polite staff. It's a shame that they closed the takeaway pizzeria in Cardinal's Mugnano. Prices increased due to the energy crisis/war or notoriety? Strangely little attended for lunch on Boxing Day.

Posto carino che volutamente rimane apparentemente spartano ma alcuni dettagli (bicchieri stilizzati con nome ristorante inciso cura nella scelta dei materiali ) fanno capire la passione e competenza con cui viene fatto questo lavoro. La padrona di casa, Giovanna, vi accompagnerà in un viaggio culinario che vi ricorderà il passato ma con classe ed eleganza (non come in alcuni locali dove tradizione viene confusa con piatti unti e cucinati con approssimazione) Chiudete gli occhi e assaggerete i piatti della tradizione cilentana preparati con semplicità ma con ingredienti top (antipasti con i salumi del Cilento, i primi con sugo e l'immancabile e gustosa braciola ...) Un viaggio nel passato: una gustosissima carrellata di sapori e profumi. Molto vicina a Scario, quindi se vi trovate in zona secondo me è un must. Chapeau.

20/11/2024: Palazzo Avino is a magnificent luxury, family run hotel, right in the heart of Ravello. It has a prime central location, easy to access, & views to die for, right over the south end of the Amalfi Coast. The interior design, the curated details & exterior common areas (gardens, bar, pool & terrace) are all carefully thought of. The friendly staff here go out of their way to ensure you have an wonderful stay & experience.

27/10/2024: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Not worth over 900 Euros a night! Hotel rooms are awful - small (yes I know it's europe but this is ridiculous), not updated at all (seriously i'm showering in a tub that has layered on dirt on the bottom at a 5 star hotel???), the breakfasts are not that good (they literally added chilis to my omelette instead of TOMATOES) and our AIR CONDITIONER (despite muggy humid and hot weather) was not working at ALL the entire stay. We complained multiple times and although the main GM at the front kept telling us there was nothing wrong - at the end of the stay... the other receptionist let it slip that they were going to "wait to fix our AC" because it needed to be removed. We complained multiple times and even - at one stage - requested a refund... but the team kept denying our requests. We also asked the hotel front desk to call a local pizzeria and book a table for us... the staff told us it was fully booked but we walked by the pizzeria anyway and to our surprise the bookings were FIRST COME FIRST SERVE and the woman owner at the restaurant complained that the hotel is corrupt and wants $ in return for reservations. The meal was one of the best we had while on our vacation and we're glad we persisted... not minding what the team at the hotel said. Additionally - hotel is an absolute WEDDING FACTORY (one every other day the 2 nights we stayed) and the parties go LATE so it's noisy for all the guests. In the end - full disclosure - the hotel gave us a refund of 200 EUR to make us feel better - but that was NOTHING in comparison to the 2000 dollar stay. Disappointing stay all round. Totally avoid. If you're looking for a truly 5 star experience - stay at the Monastero Santa Rosa about 45 min away in a neighboring town.

16/09/2024: Our favorite place. Welcoming and familiar. Castrese always welcomes us with a smile. An innumerable variety of wines and all the dishes offered are gourmet and of excellent quality. It is always a great pleasure to return.

22/10/2024: The food at this restaurant is of exceptionally high quality, locally sourced and is delicious. They obviously have an excellent resident chef, who has written a very informative menu, which adds to your enjoyment of his excellent creations. To make it a 5 star experience the staff need to be trained to provide 5 star service too. We needed to ask for cutlery, salt/pepper etc. (Many guests were helping themselves from the breakfast station)The bread needs to be offered either with oil/butter as it is at outside restaurants, as the prices on the menu reflect an expectation that all of this will be in place.

03/10/2024: Service is fundamental to a good experience while dining out. The food and the view could be exquisite but service, timing and attitude are also very important. Hence, the reason for our rating. We were a party of 6. The food on the most part was very good. But their service and timing was less than ideal. When you dine with a group you want to eat and finish pretty much at the same time. Our friends had ordered the chateaubriand which they said was delicious but cold. Their dish would have benefited by being served on heated plates. My spouse and I had ordered appetizers, grilled octopus and fried calimari which were well presented and delicious. We canceled our main course as it did not arrive and our friends had long finished their dinner. Part of their problem that evening was not having enough waitstaff for the number of customers they had. They had plenty of busboys/gals but only one waiter to take our order, prepare the table side chateaubriand as well as pay attention to all the other customers.

07/10/2024: Nuestra estancia en Tavern Janto en Italia fue absolutamente increíble! La comida era increíble, y nos sentimos como parte de la familia en este encantador hotel, dirigido por la familia. El servicio de autobús era brillante y hacía que moverse fuera tan fácil. Un saludo especial a María, que fue fantástica — compartió tanta información maravillosa sobre la historia y la cultura de la isla. Los recepcionistas también fueron fantásticos, reservando actividades, restaurantes, y guiándonos por la isla con facilidad. El hotel en sí tenía un ambiente cálido y acogedor, que recuerda a la atmósfera "Mamma Mia", y nos encantó cada momento de nuestra estancia. Muy recomendable!

27/10/2024: Visitó Buenos Aires nada más ser dejado en la Villa Fernanda. Tomamos una Bruschetta y una Margherita y Pizza de Atún, bañados con un litro de vino local. La pizza era preciosa! ¡Vale la pena visitarlo! Habíamos pasado por delante del restaurante a principios de mayo, pero no estaban abiertos para la temporada. Me alegro de haberlo descubierto en octubre.

12/10/2024: Bonito lugar para comer algo. Buena gama de aperitivos ligeros a buen precio. Personal amable. Acabamos de comer varios almuerzos aquí . . no hay cenas como hotel era media pensión.

31/12/2024: Passing through Salerno, dinner as a couple. Welcoming environment, excellent service enriched by the excellent advice of Francesco the waiter. Tasty fillet finished on the grill with broccoli and delicious grilled vegetables. We will be back to try the sandwiches!

25/11/2024: an excellent experience, quality food and very kind staff. While waiting for the appetizer they offered us a small appetizer and prosecco. The dishes are very particular and tasty, made with seasonal products. In this period I suggest gnocchi with chestnuts. We will definitely be back
