04/01/2025: Came here by chance, but it was love at first bite. Very kind staff, excellent music in the background, but the real protagonist was the excellent food. I recommend taking several courses and splitting them so you can try more things. 16/12/2024: 1st to arrive when it opened at 730pm. This restaurant in Sorrento is amazing. I had very good Octopus pasta and we enjoyed the mix shellfish dish. Very friendly staff. Overall a very good experience dining here.

11/12/2024: We loved this place. Great service. They spoke English very well, and menu had english descriptions, which helped us out a ton. Food was delicious. Cozy atmosphere with a fire place to keep everyone warm on a cool day. Highly recommend!

10/12/2024: Sono tornato in questo ristorante dopo qualche anno,spinto anche dalla giornata piovosa che spingeva a cercare un posto confortevole. Ho trovato piatti ottimi , servizio gentile, l'ambiente eccezionale (è davvero un museo di Caruso). Inoltre per un xaso fortunato eravamo gli unici avventori e quindi abbiamo ricevuto un servizio unico

14/12/2024: Returned for the second time, it was all very disappointing. Cold appetizer, Nothing like the first time a year ago. Not to mention the cod, very very good but really served after 1 hour or more... shame... maybe too many people make them go haywire?

04/12/2024: An authentic experience in Scampitella! On the advice of a friend I went to the Osteria dei Briganti in Scampitella with two friends and I must say that it was a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with rustic decor that makes you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to advise you and satisfy your every request. The menu offers a wide choice of traditional Irpinian dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with a house bruschetta, then moved on to 3 courses of appetizers: 1. slices of raw ham, culatello, knots, olives, ricotta, pork sausage and homemade cheese; 2. oven-cooked fennel accompanied by porcini mushrooms, peppers and omelette in addition to the potato and pepper dish; 3. grilled caciocavallo and caciocavallo with porcini mushrooms and truffle. Next we tasted two exceptional first courses: 1. the "scarpariello" or chiatarra troccoli with a particular sauce and homemade cheese (a crazy and incredible pleasure) that leads you to make many delicious shoes; 2. tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle, a real treat! After the first courses we tasted 2 second courses, one of which was meat with sliced ​​meat and porcini mushrooms (better to have it with rocket and parmesan) and a plate of steamed cod with chilli pepper and fried oil (a magnificent dish!) To conclude we tasted the house tiramisu as well as coffee and ammazza caffè (the barricade). The tavern offers an exceptional wine: His Majesty the Aglianico!, I won't hide from you that the friends "drank" two bottles as if they were water :-D! perfect to accompany dishes. What can I say? Osteria dei Briganti is the perfect place to enjoy true Irpinian cuisine in an authentic and familiar environment. If you are in Scampitella (AV), you cannot miss this culinary experience! It is located 5 minutes from the Vallata motorway exit! Try it to believe it! Highly recommended!

31/08/2024: The food is excellent - exemplary technically and with a lot of imagination. It is chiefly seafood, but there are alternatives if some of your group don't like seafood - and whilst it is expensive it is fairly priced and there are cheaper options if you're watching the purse strings. The service is brilliant and the staff are charming and funny and lovely. If you're around the Marina Grande you should definitely give this a visit.

30/08/2024: Excellent restaurant located in the splendid setting of the Marina Grande in Sorrento, on a walkway extending into the sea. The food is exquisite, the dishes are refined but at the same time with generous portions (try the delicious risotto!), the service is excellent with great kindness and friendliness from all the staff. Highly recommended!

09/08/2024: If I could give 6 stars, I would. I spent the summer in Italy and had the pleasure of dining at six different Michelin starred restaurants. Ristorante President was an unexpected delight and was by far my favorite. We were the only couple in the restaurant the night we went, which was a pleasure for us, but a complete travesty. They deserve to be fully booked out. The food was delicious; I cannot describe how good it was. Words do not exist. Every course was wonderful and beautifully plated. The interactive elements of breaking bread the traditional ancient Pompeian way was so fun. The service was top notch. The wine pairing was generous and unique. I do not eat raw seafood or meat, and they customized the menu for me in a way that worked beautifully with my partner’s. The dessert was beautiful and while the texture was a bit one-note, the flavors were lovely. Our next trip to Pompeii will absolutely include this restaurant again.
