08/11/2025: This lovely restaurant is located just outside Certaldo, right on a main road – however, you don't hear any street noise inside, as there's very little traffic in the evenings anyway. There are around 50 public parking spaces nearby, and those arriving between 7 and 8 pm usually find a free spot without any trouble. The restaurant itself is large and modernly furnished – I would estimate that it can accommodate about 80 to 100 guests. The tables are spaced comfortably apart, making it easy to get to your seat. We had made a reservation in advance and were greeted warmly, shown to our table, and given menus immediately. Our order was taken promptly, and because we arrived quite early by Italian standards (around 7:15 pm) and it wasn't very busy yet, our drinks and pizza arrived exceptionally quickly. The pizzas were large, at least 30 cm in diameter, generously topped, and very tasty. All three pizzas we ordered were excellent. The ambiance is modern and well-maintained, though not particularly cozy. Besides the furniture, five televisions were noticeable, showing football during our visit. Fortunately, the volume was pleasantly low – in other restaurants, it's often much more disruptive. One minor drawback: We had to ask for the bill twice, and after it finally arrived, several more minutes passed before we could pay at the bar. Conclusion: Overall, a very good restaurant with fair value for money. For under €15, you get a large, delicious pizza and a drink – something you don't often find these days. Considering the quality, service, and prices, I give it 5 stars.

02/09/2025: We visited a pizzeria with two people following a personal recommendation. The food was good, but otherwise disappointing: - The pizza ordered by person 1 was eaten and the plate had already been cleared when, after another 10 minutes, the pasta dish ordered by person 2 was served (without explanation or apology). - The dessert ordered was reported as "sold out" after 5 minutes (without apology or alternative recommendation). - The lighting was very bright and totally uncomfortable.

04/11/2025: I visited this very welcoming little restaurant to celebrate a family event, and I must say that my expectations and the recommendations of other friends were fully confirmed. The food was excellent, gourmet yet traditional, the staff friendly, and the location small but with a decidedly welcoming and family atmosphere. Highly recommended, and I'll be back soon to enjoy other delicacies.

18/08/2025: I've tried so many restaurants around Italy. I've been to Dal Gallo e la Volpe three times in the last few years, and it remains one of my favorites. Authentic flavors. Excellent value, perfect service, and a lovely location. Excellent wine selection.

26/09/2025: Located on Mercogliano Avenue, the "Castrum Pub" is a must-try for a great sandwich. The ingredients are top-quality, and the paella is also delicious, served only on Tuesdays and Fridays by reservation. The extensive rum selection is presented with sweet treats that set the stage for a fine cigar. The decor is beautiful and the service is efficient.

05/11/2025: The service fell far short of our expectations. The server initially refused to give us a table, even though there were free ones. Our appetizer couldn't be served because they claimed to have run out of mozzarella. They then brought us a substitute, but unfortunately, it wasn't what we had ordered. Wine was also unavailable, as was our main course, which they said was only offered in winter. At the next table, a young man ordered a pizza. He was told the oven was already off. Two tables away, about 20 minutes later, several pizzas were served. The chef later joined us at that table for a meal. Finally, we waited an eternity to pay. Meanwhile, the servers were smoking near the tables, amidst garbage bags and empty beverage crates.

08/11/2025: Today I was surprised because I ate fish, and I never imagined I'd be able to enjoy fresh fish in the mountains! Clams, shrimp, calamari—all excellent and well-cooked. Sajonara is a must-try in this area. The idea of ​​having to go to the seaside to get fresh fish was proven wrong today. We often look far away, thinking the best is always somewhere else, but instead, it's right there before our eyes. The fried cod was truly top-notch.

25/11/2025: Trendy seafood restaurant, fresh fish and quality ingredients, nice menu and delicious dishes. I recommend the shrimp and the coconut and chocolate dessert, it's the best in the world. The owner welcomed us divinely, so we'll return again and again ❤️

14/11/2025: Location: The restaurant is truly charming, boasting both retro elements and hints of Neapolitan culture. The ambiance is refined and elegant, with a serene atmosphere. It's located near a large square with easy-to-find parking. Food: The food was truly a wonderful discovery; everything was excellent and plentiful. Some items are very unique, like the mozzarella fried in black flour or the excellent cod and fish croquet. The portions are just right. Service: We were served by a very friendly and hospitable lady, who also gave us good advice on what to eat, without being pushy or intrusive. The wait may seem long, but that's because the dishes are freshly prepared. Price: We took advantage of a promotion, so we paid little, but I consider the prices absolutely fair.

Everything was great with the invitation until we got the bill and saw that we were charged for a 500g steak even though we ordered 400g When I went to the waitress to tell her about the mistake, she mumbled something and said don't worry and just continued with her business. 09/11/2025: Staff Quality "0" The staff who answers the phone and accepts "phone-only" reservations should do something else. I called today, November 9, 2025, at 12:30 PM to ask if they were showing the Inter-Lazio match at 8:45 PM, and they said yes. I then booked, leaving my details. They called me back a little while ago at 6:45 PM (so two hours before my reservation) and told me the match they were showing was the Benevento match. Terrible.

11/11/2025: The sfogliatella was their signature dish, and we'd travel from far away to try it. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been there, I've been quite disappointed. The location, after the renovation, is magnificent, but it's a shame the famous sfogliatella has suffered.
