07/12/2025: Every time I leave Naples, this bar is my favorite stop before reaching my beloved home in the charming Altavilla Irpina. Yesterday was a wonderful surprise: a beautifully renovated bar with great style and elegance. Fortunately, the management is still the same, because the owners are particularly welcoming and, above all, professionals in the sector. I recommend anyone to stop at this bar to relax for a few minutes before reaching their final destination.

21/05/2026: A must! If you're passing through Eboli, you absolutely must stop here. Their tuna genovese is simply out of this world, one of the best I've ever had: flavorful, creamy, and with meat that fell apart in your mouth. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

20/05/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday and, to our surprise, it was very crowded! Even though it was midweek, the restaurant filled up quickly, a sign that quality always attracts people. We had seafood, and it was all incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked. The place is very cute and welcoming; it may not be a fancy restaurant in the formal sense of the word, but it absolutely does its job. For us, the essence is what matters: eating well, using quality products, and paying a fair price. The staff handles everything perfectly despite the crowd. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

08/12/2025: Last Saturday, we had pizza dinner for 12, with a €20 menu and unlimited drinks, including one GLUTEN-FREE option. We'd already celebrated there several times, and we've always had a great time, so we chose it again for that evening. The menu, which included a fried appetizer, a choice of pizzas, and unlimited drinks, was excellent, plentiful, and of good quality. Unfortunately, there was a glitch. When the appetizers arrived, the gluten-free option was also delivered correctly. However, when it came to the pizzas, due to a communication error, a GLUTEN-FREE pizza was delivered to the person with celiac disease, who started eating it. We didn't make a fuss because we understood the mistake, and yet, when the maître d' was delivering the correct gluten-free pizza, he approached us with such arrogance and presumption, accusing the celiac customer of not paying enough attention to his pizza, as if it were his fault and he should have realized it was the wrong pizza. This unpleasant misunderstanding would have been resolved amicably if only the maître d' hadn't behaved so rudely, addressing us so rudely. Mistakes are human, especially during busy times, but we need to be very careful about food intolerances and have better communication among staff when dealing with unusual situations like this, especially when they're reported at the time of booking. We were disappointed by this behavior and reported the incident to the manager, who, however, acted as if nothing had happened, making the matter seem unimportant. It's a shame, however, that customer health is not something to be trifled with.

28/04/2026: Welcoming place and quality dishes

01/02/2026: It all started badly. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the news that there had been a reservation issue because we weren't registered, but only after a while—which I'll leave you to imagine—we managed to get our table. Seeing the tables next door already eating their meat, we assumed we'd be fine... But what! We ordered just a few appetizers and then enjoyed the grilled meat. We chose—there were 8 of us—four BLACK ANGUS steaks and four IRISH ENTRECOTE steaks, cooked rare, served on plates with a hot lava stone in the center for those who wanted to continue cooking. Of course, everything was accompanied by grilled vegetables and potatoes. The appetizer and drinks arrived in a decent amount of time, and after finishing our meal, still hungry, we ordered more portions of fries. They arrived a bit later, but they did. All this helps me describe the wait time for the meat to come out, like 45 minutes, and still nothing. We finish the second course of appetizers and start wondering how the meat is doing. The waiter routinely tells us he'll ask the kitchen, then tells us it was on the grill, so it would be out in 5-10 minutes. None of this, maybe 20 minutes and we ask again and another waiter, following the same procedure, tells us it's on the grill. YET ANOTHER HOAX! And among other things, he replies, "WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME?" We're even more disconcerted and reply, "IF NOT YOU, WHO SHOULD I ASK?" We had to raise our expectations a bit and, noticing the embarrassment of the wait staff, we wait just 1 hour and 45 minutes in total, and finally the meat arrives. HERE'S OUR MONEY WASTED. It didn't arrive as agreed. The dish was on the cutting board, not on the plate. The meat was like charred shoe soles. I immediately pointed this out, but no one said to take it back and remake it. That alone is already disrespectful. Then, again at our request, the grilled vegetables, fries, and focaccia were supposed to arrive. But they arrived very staggered, halfway through. The vegetables were in a single dish with not even half a grilled zucchini, and the focaccia was first one, then another at the end. Once everything was finished, we asked for the bill, which, without a doubt, arrived perfectly and very quickly. When handing over the bill, the waiter routinely asked, "How did it go?" At that point, I detailed everything I'd mentioned and also spoke to the owner's daughter, who, completely mortified by what had happened, agreed with us, and made us pay the bill for the expected amount without offering us any incentive either for the current one or for the hypothetical next appointment. In conclusion, a bad night for the place? But you did nothing to make up for the damage.

17/01/2026: Each time, the same wonderful confirmation: exquisite dishes, expertly prepared, with authentic and well-balanced flavors that manage to be intense without ever being heavy. The cuisine is respected, enhanced, and served with the care that makes the difference between "eating well" and "mementoful eating." Even takeout—which is far from a given—maintains the quality, flavor, and abundance worthy of table service. Da Carlo is the classic place where you go with peace of mind, knowing you'll make a great impression on your guests and that you'll leave happy (and definitely full) first. A serious, reliable restaurant, but with that genuine warmth that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for special occasions... and for when you simply want to eat truly well.

19/10/2025: We went to Ristorante Romano da Carlo for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Excellent products and impeccable service. Plus, it's excellent value for money. I recommend you go and try it. Well done!!!

30/01/2026: Everything was delicious, from the welcome to the food. We didn't have a reservation, but they still welcomed us warmly and helpfully, taking special care to provide the right information and options for my lactose intolerance. The sandwiches were delicious, each of us "composed" according to our preferences, and the croquettes were spectacular. A special mention goes to the waitress, who was very kind, friendly, patient, and available to meet our every need. We'll be back (and that's not a threat) :)

07/04/2026: Good evening everyone, after a beautiful walk near the lake, we went to Trattoria Marè. We sat inside, where they were still mopping the floor. The bathroom was out of disposable towels. At the table, however, we noticed that two out of four glasses were dirty, and the waiter very kindly changed them. Meanwhile, the hot and cold appetizers arrived, very meager, including: microwaved almond shrimp, unseasoned octopus, bland food, reheated and stuffed OLD canapés, Mexican-style beans, and a fish appetizer that had nothing to do with it, which was also bland. In short, everything they didn't sell yesterday, which was Easter, they reheated for us. Meanwhile, we barely had one plate returned, and the waiter kindly took it away, forgetting to bring a clean one. The seafood linguine arrived, tasteless, the grilled shrimp were of terrible quality, the fried shrimp and calamari were good, and finally the gnocchi, shrimp, and zucchini were good BUT, alas, with a long hair. We paid €12 for the cover charge (four people), despite what had happened. The price doesn't reflect the value of the food. P.S. For those who want to ruin an evening, choose "Trattoria Marè" or it's excellent, and I'd recommend it to my bitterest enemies.
