28/09/2025: This place is really good, maybe top 2 gelato I’ve had on the trip! Texture of the gelato is great; not smooth and processed tasting like others. They make all the gelato upstairs; and had choco taco flavor… yum. The staff were helpful and funny. We asked what to do and eat around the area and they went out of their way to recommend stuff. Other locals even got involved and made sure we would have a good time during our stay in Italy. 5/5 easily

19/10/2025: We'd been missing Dragonara for a long time, and honestly, today at lunch we were a little disappointed. A Dragonara appetizer, two linguine with a few clams and various lupini beans, a single fried main course, and two semifreddos totaled €126. Unfortunately, as I pointed out to the waiter, some of the lupini beans had gone bad and had sand in them (of course, the chef doesn't have a scanner to check the quality of the seafood, but smelling them is!), so we left halfway through. Never mind, being charged €48 for two first courses was a real drag, and then a half-liter bottle of wine, an open course, cost €14...and yet I've never seen prices like this before...the place is truly beautiful, so we also paid for the view. I'll think twice about returning.

09/10/2025: What an amazing dinner! This place is a gastronomic treat! The food, presentation is creative and delicious and the perfectly paired wines added to our memorable experience! We stayed at this iconic hotel and ate at this wonderful restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and the staff from Stefano, Emmanuele and Enrico (sommelier) were top notch. Every dish from this tasting menu was superb. In addition the creative presentation and wonderful city and bay of naples view is worth coming here. Very romantic restaurant. Highly recommend!

26/09/2025: I would like to point out that we are used to going to starred restaurants on a weekly basis. We chose the more traditional "From 2018" menu: a complete mess, devoid of any vision or thought behind the dishes (as was the interior design, dated and devoid of any concept). A thousand ingredients combined haphazardly in dishes ranging from lemon rice with shrimp (where the citrus acidity takes over) to thick spaghetti with tomato sauce, to turbot cooked in butter with mushrooms: a decidedly unlikely pairing, where creativity is barely justified. Even the lamb. The dessert (pastiera soufflé with aran-lemon sorbet) was the most successful dish of the dinner.

18/11/2025: Terrible service, to the point where I got up and started grabbing beers myself. They ignored me fully. I asked for a menu and never got it.

12/11/2025: My wife and I got married in Sorrento, we had a large group travel with us, which can sometimes be hard to find places to accommodate a big group! The English bar was our last port of call on most nights. The staff were super friendly and the secret garden area was beautiful! Highly recommended!

02/10/2025: While we did not stay at Al Barilotto, Giovanni treated us like family. We were staying a villa next door to Al Barilotto when our car scheduled to take us to Pompeii for the morning never showed up. We went to grab some breakfast next door and were greeted like close family. We ate some of the most delicious food while soaking in one of the best views on the Amalfi coast. Giovanni saw to every detail and spent time speaking with us about his hotel, family and the surrounding area. He then proceeded to connect us with a car service that not only showed up but arranged a private tour of Pompeii with an excellent guide on our ride back to Naples prior to our departure.Giovanni's warmth and hospitality was unmatched. I already know where I will be staying on my next trip to Positano!!

20/08/2025: Superb pizzeria. Very pleasant and attentive welcome. We started with a starter (rosticceria) made with fresh, light, and very tasty ingredients. The waitress was attentive. Then the pizza! Unparalleled quality and more than reasonable prices. A breathtaking view of the island. I highly recommend it! Thank you to them for this evening!

The banquet opened with a rich and spectacular buffet, accompanied by exquisite sparkling wines that immediately set the tone: elegant, festive, and impeccable. The gourmet menu then enchanted with the quality of the ingredients and the creative pairings. Special praise goes to Chef Lindoro, creator of dishes that are true works of art. The twice-cooked octopus, wrapped in a delicate honey sauce and Agerola provola fondue, and the suckling pig with potatoes and Annurca apples were unforgettable, a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The spectacular first courses confirmed the mastery of the cuisine. Each course was accompanied by a carefully chosen wine pairing: from sparkling wines to rosé, to an elegant Nebbiolo, thanks to Valerio's expertise and sensitivity, attentive to presentation and guest satisfaction. Making everything even more special, Sara, a wedding planner with a refined eye, oversaw the decor down to the smallest detail and watched over the room with discretion and warmth. The grand finale? 09/11/2025: Recently renovated place. Very nice, clean and welcoming. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service. We went on a Saturday evening (reserved table) and didn't have a single wait. The pizzas were really good! Soft, light, easy to digest and made with quality ingredients. Antonio, the pizza chef, is truly a professional! Here you can choose the dough that's best for you! This is the secret and it's what makes the difference! Really well done! P.S. The parking is a plus.

17/08/2025: Stunning location, surrounded by pristine nature, excellent, top-quality food! The owners and staff are incredibly hospitable, kind, and attentive to their guests' every need! To top it all off, a super-clean organic pool with a well-stocked bar and the option of a generous aperitif! A little corner of paradise where you can truly feel at home. Highly recommended.

22/08/2025: I went there on a weekday and had a great time. The strong point is definitely the atmosphere, which allows you to delve into icons of the past (but also of the present). We ate very well, everything was good, except for the desserts (both desserts we chose weren't up to par with the other dishes we tried). I would recommend it to everyone... friends, couples, and families. It's a place where you can eat well and enjoy a different atmosphere than the usual pub.
