09/04/2026: The perfect place to spend an evening pampered by excellent food, great drinks, a warm atmosphere, and service from those who know how to treat customers with genuine hospitality and warmth. We ordered the Apericena mari e monti (sea and mountain aperitif), where every bite (a generous amount, I'd say) was truly excellent, from fish to meat. It was accompanied by a gin and tonic, featuring a selection of gins and tonics that are not at all easy or predictable to find elsewhere—DELIGHTFUL. The background music and atmosphere of the place made you truly appreciate the moment. The icing on the cake? Valeria, who delighted us with impeccable and friendly service, truly makes all the difference for an evening of fun and relaxation. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

05/11/2025: A pleasant and surprisingly thoughtful lunch. Safe and Sound is one of those places that doesn't just aim to "satisfy your hunger quickly," but to give you the feeling that someone has really thought about what you're eating. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and relaxing. The pace is right. And above all: you can sense a focus on quality without flaunting it. The dishes arrive balanced, beautifully plated, without heavy or redundant execution. Here, the focus is on clean flavors, clarity of ingredients, and an approach that respects what you eat without overdoing it. And this is a rare commodity at lunch. The service was one of the most convincing points: helpful, quick when needed, but also very accommodating to specific requests. This isn't a given at lunchtime, where many places cut back on attention to detail. If I had to point out room for improvement (for cognitive honesty, not destructive criticism): some dishes could be a little more daring in their aromatic layering. There's no need for radical changes, just that final "click" that makes a dish memorable even in the memory. Overall, Safe and Sound is a place well worth a lunch break in Catanzaro Lido: solid, clean, well-managed, with a contemporary identity. And with a little more attention to the fine sensory details... it could become one of those places you'd recommend without even having to argue.

04/09/2025: What can I say? While I was looking for a place to eat fish and chips because my partner is English, I stumbled upon this little gem. The place is delightful, the music is great, the food is delicious, and the food is truly beautifully presented. Mediterranean flavors revisited in an innovative way. A wonderful surprise. We come to Catanzaro every year, and we'll definitely be back; it'll be one of our favorite destinations. Thank you so much!

24/10/2025: The meat was cooked to perfection! The flavor was excellent too! We had the Angus stew with porcini mushrooms, the Angus arrosticini, the hamburger, and the grilled meat... delicious... I would definitely go back!

01/03/2026: There's definitely room for improvement. Slow, though always courteous, service. Prices for the fish dishes are average. Vegan versions are available. Personally, though, I'd lower the price. I paid €15 for a plate of fettuccine with zucchini, the same price as the equivalent fish dish. Another thing to work on: the portions. A couple of friends shared a first course. The two "small portions" were as big as my entire plate...which I paid for in full. The appetizer platter while waiting for the first course was very welcome. The atmosphere was informal but very pleasant and relaxing, with the lights set among the olive trees (August 2024).

11/05/2026: Let me start by saying that I'm from Trieste, born by the sea, and I know and appreciate seafood very well. I happened upon Rosa dei Venti one weekday in early May and was fortunate enough to chat with the owners, Berna and Lucio. As soon as I saw their eyes light up when they explained the menu and their story, I immediately knew I was in good hands, and I let them do the rest. From the first courses, I sensed the quality of the ingredients (locally sourced), the attention to detail, and the unexpected, never banal pairings. These aren't experiments in nouvelle cuisine, which often please the eye rather than the stomach, but quality and tradition presented in an original way. Among my favorites, besides the appetizers (delicious surprises I won't spoil), are the pasta with scorpionfish, lemon from their garden, and the toasted bread... so delicate! Then the shrimp... the crudités... the potato-crusted cod... the fried foods (the surici were tops!)... And then finishing with Berna's desserts and their own fennel and black cherries... Amazing! There were three of us, and even though we gorged ourselves, there was no weight on our stomachs, we slept very well: quality pays off. All this for a price less than €15-20 compared to the average restaurant in Trieste.... My only regret... is that they are unfortunately too far away :-) I hope to return someday... 08/01/2026: We visited here in October whilst travelling the south of Italy via a recommendation from a friend. Some of the best food, wine and atmosphere we had on the whole trip. Definitely worth visiting. The owner instantly greets you with a glass of wine and makes you feel at home as soon as you step foot through the door.

09/03/2026: 17 kilometers from Falerna? Amazing! Delicious pizza, tender meat, authentic Calabrian flavors. The staff makes you feel at home, with smiles and generous portions. Fair prices for excellent quality.

10/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly excellent experience, well-deserved 5 stars! We went for lunch and decided to try a bit of everything: we started with their magnificent antipasto, which was impressive in both quantity and quality. A mix of typical Calabrian dishes, both hot and cold, truly filling and full of authentic flavors. This alone is worth the visit. Next, we had two first courses, both excellent: well-cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned, in perfect trattoria style. To finish, we shared a truly spectacular grilled meat: quality meat, cooked to perfection, and in more than satisfying quantities. A big plus is the service, truly excellent: fast, organized, and always available, even when the place was full. The atmosphere is new, spacious, and very well-kept. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and generous portions. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

29/12/2025: We had lunch and had a great time. We shared appetizers, including cured meats and cheeses, grilled mushrooms, bruschetta, and carpaccio, and then each chose a different first course. Everything was delicious, and the staff was very kind and courteous. They managed to satisfy everyone, not to mention that this lunch ended with the first snowflakes falling, so what better setting and ending? Highly recommended.

We chose seafood dishes and were very pleased: everything was well-cooked and carefully presented. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from start to finish. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a pleasant evening in one of the most beautiful seaside settings in our area. We'll be happy to return!
