09/08/2024: Great family owned restaurant and the end of Corso Masini that has an outstanding view of Catanzaro. A must walk and then eat at Porto Marina. Twin brothers and their parents have always operated this restaurant and they provided an amazing, friendly and fun environment. Food was great and plentiful.

27/08/2024: Con una parola potrei tranquillamente descrivere la serata,eccellente ! Riscoperta di sapori nuovi,carni e salumi dal sapore deciso e di alta qualità.. Servizio impeccabile attenti al cliente in tutto e per tutto super disponibili nel consigliare la scoperta di nuovi sapori quali cuberoil australiano che fino a qualche sera fa mai assaggiato, mi ha sorpreso piacevolmente. Potrei dire con tutta franchezza che la padrona di casa è la regina indiscussa della cordialità, attenzione al cliente ma sopratutto del buon cibo servito.. Esperienza consiglitissima. Ritorneremo!

21/08/2024: It is an atypical "grill", a well-kept environment with lots of scenography. Their choice of barbecue is free of pork and in particular of Calabrian sausage and sopressata... alas absent.... however, the choice of venue must be respected which, often, does not match the customer's tastes... ....the chemist's explanation for the use of salts in plain sight is very useful

13/08/2024: A fixed stop for years now, I happen to stop in the area for work reasons and I always aim to eat here for dinner! Exceptional sandwiches, with quality products and staff attentive to any need. Furthermore they also have a butcher's counter for those who want to move away from the sandwich and focus on the grill! 10 and praise. Highly recommended!

14/08/2024: If I could select 10 stars I would. Let's start by thanking the owner and the dining room staff, we returned after 3 days and they remembered where we were sitting and what we had ordered. The menu consists only of fresh fish which varies according to the catch of the day. (Note: during the evening some dishes may run out so I recommend pre-ordering by telephone if there is a dish you absolutely want to try!) Mussels peppered: the best I've ever eaten! First courses are all excellent, I'll mention my favourite: crazy lobster and lemon tagliatelle! Excellent local wines. Chef (owner) who passes between the tables at the end of the evening to introduce himself and collect customer feedback. We will always return with joy.

09/08/2024: Excellent food, helpful and kind staff, I give 4 stars and not 5 only and exclusively for the temperature, even though the air conditioners were on it was 30 degrees and while we were eating we basically took a sauna, probably because of the veranda with PVC etc. which creates a greenhouse effect, it is also true that it is a period where we have prohibitive temperatures

I wanted to compliment Cristian who welcomed us and made us feel at ease with his professionalism and kindness, I highly recommend it! Very low prices for the quality of the dishes, we were very satisfied! We will be back soon!

17/05/2024: It's a place I like, the beautiful music at a low volume, as it should be done in all places, the table on the steps of the staircase which makes it a bit retro and the "Tostacce" light and tasty. I'll be back. May 15, 2024. I went back but I was very sorry not to have found Toast anymore. Now there are scones... good, but the uniqueness and originality of before is no longer there.

11/02/2024: Il ristorante sorge nel centro storico di Catanzaro e come dirimpettaio ha il bel teatro Politeama. In una uggiosa domenica abbiamo deciso di pranzare nel citato ristorante l'Opera, che conoscevo anni fa prima del Covid, e ho scoperto che il nuovo gestore, con altri, è una vecchia conoscenza della ristorazione cittadina quindi la cosa mi ha rallegrato e a ragione. Infatti, seppure la cucina è un po' ricercata rispetto a quella tradizionale del suo precedente ristorante, la qualità è alta, come la gentilezza e la competenza. Abbiamo consumato un pranzo completo a testa escluso il dolce perché le porzioni sono oneste, tutto ottimo in ambiente bello e caldo con sottofondo musicale appena percettibile e gradevole. Complimenti al cuoco e al giovane maitre/socio, prezzi onesti per la qualità ricevuta, non più alti di quelli di tanti ristoranti più fumo che arrosto. Arrivederci tra qualche domenica.

04/02/2024: Ottima esperienza , qualità del cibo alta (cucinano solo con pesce fresco pescato il giorno stesso), abbinamenti ricercati e ben riusciti , servizio eccellente, estremamente simpatico ma anche gentile e attento ai particolari, lo consiglio per chi vuole mangiare dei buoni piatti di pesce ad un ottimo prezzo , torneremo sicuramente

02/08/2024: I wrote about opening times and table reservations via Insta and got an answer straight away. The service on site was super friendly and the portions were delicious and huge. Great idea that you can combine the homemade pasta with a sauce of your own choice!

We stayed twice with the girls, the first time we were served by the owner who invented himself and for this I thank him for everything in accommodating the tastes of the youngest...an attention that did not go unnoticed...thank you
