02/03/2026: If you're in Pizzo, you have to try this place! We had the Calabrese pasta with 'nduja, anchovies, and olives, which was a real treat! The grilled fish and vegetables were delicious. Plus, the focaccia made in a wood-fired oven is delicious. A pleasant surprise!

01/01/2026: I was here at the beginning of December, I went to Locri to visit some friends and they told me I couldn't leave without going to eat here. It is about half an hour from Locri, we passed through Gerace (a splendid village worth visiting) until we arrived in Canolo in the heart of Aspromonte (you can also get here by other routes, cycle path and for walkers the Brigand's Path). The location started around the 70s/80s with a small room which then expanded over time and now there is a large room that can also host weddings or ceremonies, the style and furnishings are from the period. Cosimo's welcome is family-like, it's like going to visit a relative, attentive, courteous service and available to satisfy any need. The menu is varied, here you eat the sincere and genuine Calabrian tradition there is little room for experimental cuisine, this is the kingdom of opulence we had a complete appetizer two samples of first course and a grilled (everything cooked very well and with the right flavors) everything was so abundant that anything we didn't manage to eat we brought home. The price if I remember correctly was €30, exceptional value for money. There's a large parking lot, and when it's warm, there are tables outside. Coming here, you quickly go from sea level to mountainside, and the temperature difference is noticeable—about 10 degrees Celsius in summer and winter, so come here with appropriate clothing. That said, I can't wait to return to Calabria to visit him again. If you're in the area, I recommend trying this experience.

Much of this is undoubtedly thanks to San Bernardo Ricevimenti. The venue, immersed in the pristine nature of the Sila Mountains, is simply enchanting. In addition to the professional and impeccable service, the dishes, prepared with dedication and care, using fresh, high-quality, local ingredients, were truly exceptional! We highly recommend them for weddings or other ceremonies. P.S. 19/10/2025: A Perfect Banquet of Flavor and Elegance. ​I had the pleasure of celebrating a special occasion, my nephew's graduation party, with a banquet prepared by Executive Chef Gustavo Congi and his daughter, Lady Chef Denisia Congi. ​Despite the close friendship and respect that bind me to the Congi family, I cannot help but express my sincere appreciation. Their cuisine was simply sublime. ​The dishes showcase the finest local ingredients, which, crafted with professionalism and love, are transformed into creations of the highest quality. Each course was presented with elegance and refinement. The risotto with crispy green beans, pumpkin cream, and grilled bacon was particularly noteworthy. ​A dish that celebrates autumn and the richness of mountain flavors. The rice was cooked to perfection, with the grain al dente, enclosing the heart of starch. Chefs Gustavo and Denisia succeeded in creating a vibrant contrast, masterfully balancing creaminess and crunchiness. Aesthetically, it was a unique culinary canvas of brilliant and lively contrasts. ​In short, the long-standing professionalism and experience of Executive Chef Gustavo blended beautifully with the innovative and creative touch of Lady Chef Denisia. ​In short: a perfect banquet that expertly combined elegance, flavor, and refinement. My heartfelt congratulations to both of them, also on behalf of the "little expert." Super!!!!! ​

24/09/2025: We were passing through on our way home from the airport... we actually just wanted to quickly pick up some bread and stumbled upon Panificio Puccio... Sensational! We bought bread and all sorts of mixed baked goods... incredibly fresh and delicious. The ingredients are definitely high-quality. The pizza was tasty, but didn't really blow us away. The five stars are more than deserved.

A visit to "La Bottegaccia" is a must-try: the Mixed Grilled Meats are a true delight. The meat arrives with that flavorful, smoky crust on the outside, while the inside remains juicy and tender; every cut expresses its utmost quality. The utmost attention is also paid to gluten-free options! The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

09/06/2025: The cured meats appetizer was truly excellent. The service was always impeccable. I enjoyed the pizza a little less because it didn't seem to be very salty, but that's certainly due to the excessive saltiness of the cured meats. Unique in some respects in the area.

01/11/2025: ...it's more than a hotel, it's also a museum where a computer scientist finds himself in his own world. I regret the lack of beach bungalows, which adds to the unique experience. The food is also excellent; I suggest improving the breakfast selection, even though it's still plentiful. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely return.
