Very tasty genuine local food. Pasta sauce cooked to perfection. The place gets very busy with locals at lunch time. I was clearly the only tourist there. The staff were not very friendly and didn't speak English (but easy to communicate with basic Italian and hands), my plate was whisked away while I was still chewing but I guess there was a rush as a queue of locals were waiting outside.

It's a simple place with great opportunity to try some real local cuisine without fanfare or ceremony. (And for great prices)
If that's what you're after, you'll enjoy it jist like the locals do.

A good trattoria with fast service and decent quality. It's a bit lacking in cleanliness; there are a few things that could use some attention, such as the chairs and the oil cruet on the table, which were obviously greasy due to infrequent cleaning.
On Sundays, it's best to book.
The set menus with a choice of courses from the Sunday menu have a €5 surcharge.

In Catanzaro for work, we stopped to eat at this restaurant twice.
We had grilled fish, which was good but nothing exceptional, spaghetti allo scoglio, and a tagliata. The meat, however, was objectively excellent and the dish was truly generous for the price. Recommended.
