08/12/2025: We've been coming here for a long time, and every time it feels like coming home. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with attention to detail and always making us feel pampered. The food is simply exquisite; every dish exudes passion, quality, and attention to detail. One of the things we love most is the attentiveness of the staff: in the winter, when we choose to sit outside, they always offer us warm, soft blankets that make everything even more magical. It's a simple gesture, but it truly shows how much they care about their customers. A special place, one we love to return to and one we wholeheartedly recommend. ♥️

10/11/2025: For work in Trebisacce, I stayed two nights at this masseria. Beautiful views, a beautiful complex, and excellent food. Excellent for events and vacations, with a lovely outdoor pool.

25/09/2025: We were here just for dinner. There are two menus: fish or meat. We each had one, and both were excellent. The service is very attentive and friendly. There's a good wine selection. We've been here several times now and will be back soon. Even when we bring friends, everyone is always impressed.

24/10/2025: A wonderful restaurant with excellent service and a wide selection of seafood dishes. Pizza is also available, of course. We dined here with the kids, and everyone was satisfied! I highly recommend it!

15/10/2025: Absolutely lovely experience we went the first night and again the following night. Very welcoming from the second we walked in, service was perfect and he had a genuine love for food. His recommendations did not disappoint and the fancy linguine was truly special. Everything from start to finish was delicious. Lovely homemade mint liquor to finish was so tasty. Highly recommend! Leaves you feeling happy and truly satisfied by the end ☺️

09/11/2025: We were in Calabria for 24 hours, yet we ate at Osteria San Francesco twice. A friend recommended this restaurant to us, and I have to say it was one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I'll ever remember in this region. The restaurant, run by two brothers, is small but very welcoming. The food is amazing, and Francesco is a truly friendly person. What I also really appreciated was the atmosphere in this restaurant: there are only a few seats, and the people at the various tables chat as if they've known each other forever. The fish and meat are excellent! Highly recommended!!! The president and friends of Villa Badessa

27/09/2025: It's more of a snack stand and a garden. At first glance, nothing much. But.....the absolute best Arancini with nduja. The service was great, very pleasant and kind. We were very satisfied. Too bad they're closed on Saturdays. I recommend

07/09/2025: At this kiosk, we had a brioche with bergamot gelato and fig granita. The bergamot gelato was amazing!! The flavor was delicate, but you could still taste the bergamot. The fig granita was the fruit!! During our vacation in Calabria, we tried bergamot gelato several times, and we weren't thrilled because it always had an aftertaste of..."detergent"... My advice is to try the bergamot gelato from the La Cattolica kiosk, and then tell me... ;)

03/12/2025: Already known for the stockfish. The appetizers were good, the first courses a bit more flavorful, but above all, the stockfish ravioli were excellent! One of the friends at the table chose not to order the stockfish first course and said the meat ravioli weren't the best. The house wine: not recommended. All in all, we spent a Sunday with friends.

28/09/2025: A truly excellent family-run restaurant. We're obviously talking about a small town setting: you won't find Barolo risotto, Quiche Lorraine, Confit de Canard, or other gourmet dishes. But here in Santa Domenica and the surrounding area, it's one of the best restaurants: a truly deserved 5 stars, thanks to its simple, traditional, authentic, and delicious cuisine. There's nothing better for spending an evening with family or friends on a budget (I've attached the entire menu), eating well without feeling full, in a pleasant setting (a large, glass-enclosed terrace with spectacular views, suitable even in winter) with efficient and courteous service. Be careful with the appetizers, which are always generous: the house appetizer (€18 for 2) is supposed to serve two, but is more than enough for three. The first courses are excellent. The "della casa" and "bellavista" cavatielli are particularly popular, as are the ravioli and, for those who like spicy food, the "paccheri alla calabrese." A friend of mine comes here especially for the wild boar ragù: in his opinion, it's the best he's ever eaten. One small flaw is the second course menu: it's a bit limited in terms of selection and exclusively for meat. The positive aspects are that, after the appetizer and first course, you usually skip the second course and move straight to dessert; the meat is also excellent. The desserts are typically homemade: varied and traditional, that is, rustic, all homemade by Mrs. Michelle. Very good in my opinion, but those who don't appreciate this kind of thing can happily opt for the exquisite sorbets and Sicilian granitas. The pizzeria offers a wide selection, excellent quality (if you like your pizza not too thick, known here as "Roman-style"), and above all, affordable. Parking is on the street and isn't always easy. The restrooms are clean but space is limited, making it somewhat difficult for wheelchair users. Finally, the terrace is not accessible (it's on the first floor, with rather narrow stairs). The view, however, is spectacular even from the ground floor.

26/09/2025: Delicious home-cooked food, homemade pasta, hearty vegetarian appetizers, and spectacular coastal views. Definitely worth it.

28/10/2025: Absolute luxury! One of the best pizzas I've ever had – the dough was perfect, crispy yet fluffy, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was perfectly balanced. The service was nice, fast and the atmosphere was pleasant. When you say Italy, this is exactly how I imagine a real pizza – simple, honest and irresistibly tasty. I will definitely come back here every time I visit Scalea! 🇮

A traditional restaurant with the feel of a quaint, popular tavern, simple yet meticulously crafted. Excellent cuisine with balanced, very tasty dishes. The service is precise and attentive, yet pleasantly entertaining. Very reasonable prices, well-deserved for the quality of the food. I will gladly return. Thank you.
