The fish is very fresh and cooked, respecting its characteristics without altering its taste. All the raw materials are of excellent quality. The staff is kind and attentive. 25/05/2025: We went for dinner on Friday, attracted by the proposal of a barbecue accompanied by live music with the trio Tocci, Arnieri and De Rose. The premises were excellent: convivial atmosphere, good food and live entertainment. However, the overall experience did not reflect expectations. The staff was courteous, but unfortunately very difficult to find during the evening. The waiting times were long and even simple requests such as water, bread or cutlery required more promptness. We ordered three main courses, but only one arrived initially. When we asked for clarification, we were confidently told that everything was there, leaving us a bit perplexed. The quality of the meat served was uneven, with some pieces well cooked and others very hard or burnt. The ‘mpacchiuse potatoes, ordered in two portions, were served in a truly minimal quantity. A big round of applause goes to the musicians, who performed with passion and professionalism, even if the environment did not favor listening due to the acoustics and background noise. Unfortunately, the evening, which could have been pleasant, was disappointing in several respects. We hope that the venue can improve the management of the service, because the idea behind the event is valid.

18/05/2025: An oasis of authenticity and flavors in the heart of Calabria Tenuta Contessa is much more than a simple farm resort: it is an authentic and lively experience that envelops you from the first moment. We were warmly welcomed. Our stay on a motorbike with another couple was made unforgettable by several gems that this estate carefully preserves. Starting with the wine therapy massage was a real wellness ritual that regenerated body and mind, leaving us with a pleasant feeling of relaxation and vitality. Dinner was an explosion of authentic flavors, thanks to the mastery and passion of Chef Pietro Parisi. Each dish spoke of the richness of the Calabrian territory, a culinary moment that will remain etched in our memory. Breakfast confirmed the excellence of the estate, with homemade biscuits and yogurt that released a genuine and delicious flavor. A special thanks goes to Silvio at the reception, whose availability and welcome made us feel good. His precious advice for our next stop on the motorcycle trip was much appreciated. We noticed that the estate is being expanded, and despite the work in progress, we can already feel the beauty and potential of this place. We imagine the final result and we can only foresee an even brighter future for the Contessa estate

From our arrival we were welcomed with great warmth and helpfulness by the people owners, exquisite people who knew how to make us feel at home. The food was simply excellent: genuine dishes, prepared with fresh and local ingredients, which tell of the passion for cooking and respect for tradition. All immersed in a natural setting among the greenery, silence and peace of the countryside. The place is clean, with attention to detail and perfectly organised, ideal for those looking for a corner of tranquility without sacrificing quality. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and helpfulness: the staff is kind, attentive and always ready to satisfy every need. The structure is cared for down to the smallest details, with clean, spacious rooms furnished with rustic taste, in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. One of the strong points is certainly the cuisine: genuine dishes, prepared with fresh and local ingredients, many of which come directly from the farmhouse's garden. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, with homemade cakes, artisanal jams and typical local products. The farmhouse also offers various outdoor activities: walks through the vineyards, visits to the farm animals and moments of relaxation. An authentic experience that allows you to rediscover the slow rhythms of nature and enjoy a bit of tranquility, away from the chaos of the city. I highly recommend this farmhouse to those looking for a relaxing stay, in a familiar and welcoming environment. 24/05/2025: This place is a reference for hospitality. No menu, no frills. Cesare will provide the suggestions of the day and you do good to follow. Food IMHO is not spectacular, but genuine. Bottle of home made wine is already on the table. The local Amaro is the cherry on top. You don‘t ask for the price and will be positively surprised on the decency of the final bill. Gracie Mille!
