23/11/2025: A small restaurant that truly showcases the local area: here you'll find platters and dishes prepared with genuine, carefully selected ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed Sunday lunch or an aperitif with friends.
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, always ready to recommend the perfect pairing with great kindness and without being intrusive.
The prices are fair for the quality offered. Highly recommended!
19/11/2025: The food was delicious, but unfortunately, I didn't like the pasta. The wine recommendation and everything else was very respectful, and it was mostly locals there. I paid €20 for the small piece of meat, which wasn't cheap, but it was quite good.
I would come back, but I would try something else next time.

10/11/2025: From the very first moment, the place makes you want to stay, as the staff warmly welcomes you to a table. The food is excellent and there's nothing to complain about. We happened to be there off-season and managed to get a seat without any problems, but I think reservations are essential during peak season. I won't go into detail here; it's worth going and checking this place out for yourself.

Refined attention to every detail and flavor... a first course with the catch of the day with a citrus aroma like nothing you've ever tasted before... every ingredient is on the palate, the lime and bergamot are unique aromas... a Sicilian-style swordfish with a softness and a truly Wow-like aroma of the sea... and a delicate and enveloping red fruit crème brûlée... a refined cellar with wines, spirits, cheeses, and refined details... a wonderful experience for our area, where tradition and innovation blend with great art... go there and congratulations to the Scali family... 💝
26/10/2025: We went to this place for the first time today... new, very welcoming and well-kept... very kind staff and above all excellent food... for my celiac son everything was excellent... in fact they prepared delicious potato croquettes for him on the spot... top desserts... highly recommended and we will be back soon

21/09/2025: The Academy isn't just a restaurant...it's a journey of flavors. And Cogliandro isn't just a chef, albeit an extraordinary one...he's an artist. The strascinati are the best swordfish and eggplant pasta dish I've ever eaten. Anyone who comes to Reggio Calabria cannot miss out on an experience in this wonderful place.
16/09/2025: We met Chef Cogliandro and his cuisine 12 years ago, and since then he has celebrated every anniversary. His cuisine is a crescendo of culinary experiences and sensations that highlight his love for the region and guide the palate in the discovery of extraordinary pairings.
The dining room staff is always attentive and friendly, the view is enchanting, and the spaces are well-maintained.
Beyond his cuisine, credit goes to the person: from the first moment we met him, he introduced himself as Filippo, a sociable, humble, and honest man who has fought on the front lines for the legality of the Reggio Calabria region. He also took two unaccompanied minors under his wing, teaching them the trade, leading them to great national recognitions.
In short, eating at A Gourmet is an experience that is good not only for the palate but also for the heart.
Go there! And you'll come back again.

20/10/2025: We chose Palia's Hotel as a strategic base for exploring Calabria's parks by bike, and it was a great choice.
Ample parking, including a covered car park, a private garage for bicycles (with tools for minor maintenance available), comfortable and clean rooms, and the kindness and enthusiasm of Roberto (the owner), who, along with his wife (an excellent pastry chef), recommended and prepared superb breakfasts for us, making themselves available for any needs we had. It's a shame they no longer have a restaurant, but the bar is well-stocked, and there's a large display of excellent local products you can purchase to create a wonderful memory of these beautiful lands. Thanks again.

28/08/2025: If it were possible to give it 10 stars, I would. A property in the heart of Tropea, just steps from the seafront and offering every comfort. A gem. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Tropea, enjoy the town, the crystal-clear waters, and stay in an oasis of peace. Recommended for both families and couples. Book now—you won't regret it!
19/08/2025: The restaurant is an excellent choice for those who love authentic flavors, especially Tropea onions, the star of a richly varied appetizer and two first courses, one of which can easily be veganized by omitting the pecorino cheese without sacrificing flavor. The staff is friendly and helpful, attentive to every need, and the owner was particularly thoughtful, bringing me freshly picked figs after noticing my interest in the ones next to the cake. The location is welcoming and well-kept, and the dishes are refined and flavorful. The experience was very positive and delicious, although the price was high, commensurate with the quality and attentiveness of the service.

13/09/2025: The employee, Davide Muoio, displays the menus in a deceptive manner when ordering. I asked for traditional fries, without the added fondue or anything else, and my receipt included four packets of ketchup and mayonnaise, for a total of €1.20 more. The problem isn't the negligible extra charge, but rather the way he's fooling the customer. I reported the matter to the person in charge, who justified his actions by saying he'd offered me three different options: fries with fondue, with bacon, or classic fries with the added sauces. That's the problem! I wanted traditional fries, without sauces, so he should have offered a fourth option as well…
A chain this successful can't afford these low-profile games.
13/09/2025: I was traveling and when I saw the sign (mi'Ndujo), it caught my eye, and out of curiosity, I decided to stop in, without anyone having told me about it or having read any reviews. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the sandwiches were delicious, so I recommend it, and when I come back, I'll definitely stop in again. 😉
