08/09/2025: I'm from the area. I confess I'm not a fan of eating out, but when I really have to make an exception, Agriturismo Sant'Agata is our first choice. Halfway between Melfi and Rapolla, in a panoramic location overlooking the east from a relaxing viewpoint in the parking lot courtyard, Sant'Agata offers a rustic and welcoming setting, where the (exceptional) appetizers tantalize the palate long before moving on to the first courses: my favorite is the strozzapreti with butter and sage. The roast meats are always popular, and the homemade desserts are plentiful. The location is so pleasant that you'd never want to leave. The price is adequate for the service.

30/03/2025: Specifico che dalla mia ultima recensione, il locale ha cambiato gestione e molte cose sono decisamente peggiorate, ad eccezione della location. Il menù è rimasto a base di carne e pesce con la variazione della pizza solo il sabato sera. Al momento dell’ordinazione ci è stato sottolineato che il locale nel giro di 2 settimane avrebbe chiuso per ferie pertanto non tutte le portate del menù erano disponibili quindi il cameriere, gentilmente, ci ha suggerito anche i fuori menù proponendoci come antipasti delle polpettine di baccalà, invisibili, grandi poco più di un'oliva verde, euro 2, 50 al pezzo e piccole polpettine di melanzane, banalissime, con impasto frullato euro 1,50 al pezzo. Il colmo è stato l’arrivo della birra ordinata con data di scadenza Novembre 2024 (episodio già successo a dicembre 2024, pur non essendo prossimi alle ferie); naturalmente l’alternativa è ricaduta su una banalissima birra italiana da discount, in quanto essendo prossimi alla chiusura feriale (ribadisco 2 settimane) nel locale non c’era nessuna altra bottiglia di birra disponibile, resta ben inteso che nessuno del personale, titolare e chi che sia abbia minimamente chiesto scusa o mostrato un minimo segno di rammarico per l’accaduto. Dopo aver ordinato e atteso pazientemente i nostri piatti, ahimè ci siamo immediatamente resi conto che quelli a base di carne (tagliata) erano immangiabili poiché la carne era dura e non masticabile, allorché qualcuno ha preferito mandare indietro il piatto, sostituito con del pesce (salmone con verdure ottimo) a pagamento, ed anche qui scuse e quant’altro completamente assenti. Inutile dire che non ci è stato offerto neanche un bicchiere d’acqua o sconto, visto l’esito della cena, per di più il conto è stato incassato direttamente dallo chef (presente alla cassa) il quale non ha proferito nessuna parola di scusa… orripilante.

12/06/2025: I have been going to Luciano's agriturismo for 13 years and I wouldn't change it for any other in the area. He and his family are good people, his wife makes excellent cakes...you eat well and home-made, the rooms are basic but clean and then you are surrounded by a fantastic view.

05/10/2025: Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. After nearly two hours of waiting, we were first served a cold pizza, which most likely wasn't even ours. Only after that did the appetizer arrive, and finally the actual pizzas we ordered—a clear sign of a kitchen error or poor organization. The only positive aspect was that the waiter apologized for the inconvenience, and his courtesy deserves recognition. However, a two-hour wait and courses served in this order remain unacceptable. It's a shame, because the place seemed promising, but the service could definitely be improved.

31/08/2025: The first thing that struck me was Guille, the Argentinean waiter, very friendly and welcoming with the customers. The food was good and the place was very nice. I highly recommend visiting and trying this place. It's a unique and unforgettable experience.

15/09/2025: A good pizza that didn't make us wait long for the service, especially from a young worker who behaved really badly and rudely. If I had been alone, I would have left.

13/09/2025: On weekends, you'll have to wait if you've decided to order pizza, which is still very light and tasty. Prices are average. The desserts are also good, although the one I ordered, the namelaka, despite listing dark chocolate among the ingredients, had very little of it!

13/10/2025: October 12, 2025 - A Meal of Irony First, however, I must offer a few words of praise to Mr. Pino and his family (staff) for welcoming me in the best possible way today for lunch. To Mr. Pino, I simply thank him because, with his politeness, genuineness, and lightheartedness, his ability to convey a love for his work is admirable; things that truly do the soul good. To his staff (family), I can only emphasize their excellent professionalism and friendliness. Why did I describe my meal as "ironic"? Simple, I don't eat fish, but I can't say no to a good plate of spaghetti with clams (delicious). For my second course, since I had a long journey ahead of me, I decided to have the green salad (Bravo! A healthy meal), finishing with a splendid and delicious Chicco di Caffè dessert (And here, I'd say I slipped up) and a classic coffee to round it all off. But before I left, I had the pleasure of chatting with Mr. Pino and "revealing my birthday." Ironically, he wasn't expecting that, and I greatly appreciated both him and his staff wishing me a happy birthday. I plan and hope to return to Mr. Pino's restaurant again, with whom I had the pleasure of spending a small part of my birthday. See you soon. Giuseppe

23/09/2025: Disappointing experience. I advise tourists like me NOT to visit this restaurant, as the service is terrible. Non-locals aren't treated the same way as locals. I dined here with my family. There were only three of us. We showed up without a reservation, and when they told us there was no room inside, they invited us to sit outside on the patio. This treatment wasn't extended to a couple who arrived shortly afterward. They initially seated them outside like us, but after a few words and a smile at the waitresses, they were escorted inside. It presents itself as a trattoria, but offers a limited menu of gourmet dishes (I recommend changing the name) at an unjustified high price given the poor quality. The pasta was served to me practically raw; it couldn't even be described as "al dente." Perhaps the chef, who wanders around the tables doing public relations in a white jacket and shorts (bad presentation), should spend more time in the kitchen. To conclude, they served two completely cold coffees, and in response to our complaints, they replied that it was our fault—we'd waited too long to drink it, after twenty minutes of waiting before we were served. The waitress didn't even apologize, making excuses and not even responding to my farewell greeting. A truly rude person who perhaps should learn to be more humble.

01/09/2025: Superb pizzeria! We fell in love with this pizza from the very first bite: truly exceptional! The manager, Domenica, is fantastic, helpful, and friendly! Whenever we're in Potenza, Pizzeria 5 Lire is our go-to! Highly recommended.

04/08/2025: Loved our lunch. It was nice to eat local and enjoy the region. Following a stay in Balvano we journeyed over and spent a few hours with great food. It's tucked away but a place to enjoy.

02/07/2025: I was at this farm for the first time on June 20th for my mother's birthday. Everything was delicious and Costantino was super kind. We will definitely return.

11/10/2025: Please God, protect this business so it gets even busier and may the owner and employees prosper 😭😭😭😭 They have been selling their pasta at a stable price since the beginning, only 5 euros. There are two menu options: with pork and without pork. The style is to order and then eat while standing. The shop is cute and they also sell dry pasta. Their pasta is very delicious 🤤

10/10/2025: It wasn't bad, but I've had much better pasta in Rome! It's worth the price.

27/09/2025: The arrosticini are excellent, with various cooking methods. The rest is just unnecessary frills, although I was served some excellent cavatelli with cruschi peppers off the menu. On the other hand, the bruschetta was unacceptable, burnt, and poorly garnished. The prices are excellent. Again, stick to the house specialty and little else.

14/09/2025: EVERYONE should come here!! The best thing I've ever eaten: Arrosticini Angus, castrato, and a chocolate bar, which is their own product ♥️🥰 I love this place and want to cry that I live 2,076 km away 😭. I envy the locals! Very friendly and wonderful service!
