My husband and I had only booked for Easter but after having lunch we also booked for Easter Monday 😂😂😂. If you are in Matera you cannot miss a meal at Sapori Gluten Free. 05/04/2024: Beautiful place, we were there today and I must say excellent quality of the products, very good pizza and first courses and good homemade dessert. it's worth traveling 50 km, we will definitely be back!

18/04/2024: We are the only guests today. It's cool and it was raining. We liked the options for putting together the dishes. We advise and can get you something vegan. I eat gnocchi. Just lovely. The two men in service speak German. One has worked in FFM for more than 20 years. During the conversation I ask where you can get good olive oil. It doesn't take long and about 15 minutes later I have a date with the farmer. We'll meet tomorrow at 1 p.m. to hand over the olive oil. 5 liters for 60€. We really enjoyed the olive oil. The whole meal was super tasty. We can highly recommend the R. Basilico.

12/02/2024: Consigliamo questo ristorante, ci siamo stati oggi con tutta la famiglia, in giro per Matera, prima del ritorno a casa a Polignano, abbiamo pranzato in questo splendido posto, abbiamo mangiato benissimo e soprattutto i proprietari molto gentili. Per noi è stata una piacevole scoperta. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare. Grazie per tutto.

06/04/2024: Absolutely perfect, from the friendly, attentive, and knowledgable waiter to the delicious food and amazing view! Classy, Lovely place to watch day turn to night over the sassi. I had the octopus with mint, a generous glass of red wine, and a vegetable dish with sausage, while husband had pasta and pork. Every bite was exceptional - even the bread was good. Trust the waiter’s recommendations! Priced very reasonably - paid 42 euros total, including service charge. Excellent deal for great quality food. Highly recommended!

19/03/2024: We expected more. It may be our fault. The viewpoint advertised was for two people. A place called Finestra sui Sassi, should have a good vantage point. We will treat ourselves to some typical Sant Josep fritters.

01/04/2024: We went yesterday for lunch for Easter, we had a great time. Excellent food, very pleasant welcome and a nice atmosphere. One more star for Quelo, who watches over the room!

01/04/2024: During my week in Italy this was the worst place I ate. Customers are served uncomfortably. I waited half an hour to order, then asked for my sandwich and waited another 15 minutes to be served. The waitress was generally not in a good mood. The sandwich itself is also bad. How can you not even make a sandwich with such bad products? The only thing that was good was the weather. I do not recommend. I had a good lunch in neighboring Monopoli.

28/01/2024: Excellent product quality, honest prices. I would avoid 1 euro cover charge as no dishes were served for the cold cuts and cheese platter. Until next time!

28/05/2024: Excellent restaurant located in the center of Matera with a view of the stones which are all lit up in the evening and the view from the terrace has a particularly atmospheric effect which makes the environment very suggestive and romantic. The food is good, the place is clean and the service is friendly and punctual. To try !
