29/07/2024: Greeted by Chef Allesandro & manager Melissa we knew we were about to enjoy an evening of Abruzze` culinary excellence & charm. And so we did. A warm humid night, the outdoor tables were set with a sunset view of the gardens. Our chief waiter asked for Chef’s assistance with our "anglaise" ordering. Our starter of "chef’s fancy" contained select arancini, perfectly breaded & fried codfish, mozzarella sticks, cheese & a puff potato,served on a board! Next for me, a specially prepared pappardelle of duck ragu. A rich sauce with freshlly made al dente pasta that enhanced the smoky essence of tender duck. A mushroom rissoto with truffles was earthy and paired well with the Sirio Montpulciano from master chef's San Lorenzo vineyard. Wished we could take this home. I wanted to try the local lamb and was rewarded with grilled rib chops a la Abruzze`. Uniquely different from the garlicy lemon lamb of Greece but tasty in its own right. Dessert of tiramissu, biscotti, panetta with a special regional liquor, SantElmo, to complete our tour. Chef A came out from his extremely busy kitchen to make sure everything was to our liking. And we had a quick chat on his training & aspirations. His personal touch of ambiance enhanced our dining experience and convinced us, he is the "real deal." Our successful waltz through Il Retrovo's Abruzze` traditional fare suggests readers should not miss this gem of a restaurant and its marvellous staff. We will surely return.. Btw plenty of parking. The Serne location is near to many Adriatic coast resors & hotels. Il Retrovo is also an event setting; formal, business or family! Check their elegant website.

07/07/2024: Sports complex located in the hamlet of Case di Trento, just outside Giulianova, has both outdoor and indoor padel courts. There are also a five-a-side football pitch and a soccer pitch. Ample parking, well-kept changing rooms, perhaps the padel courts need more maintenance, overall more than recommended.

22/04/2024: Pranzo a base di pesce, esperienza negativa. Il pesce nn era fresco, la portata con cozze immangiabile, emanavano cattivi odore. Servizio lento. Al modico prezzo di € 55 a persona!

29/07/2024: Beautiful day...cozy place...top swimming pool...friendly and helpful staff! Cocktails by the pool...Ernesto the guy with a contagious smile...all done treated us very well. The restaurant is no exception... we ate very well and the place inside was very well looked after... honest prices!

27/07/2024: We had lunch here after a beautiful morning at the pool… the staff is very kind… especially Ernesto! A very nice guy... with a beautiful smile on his face! We ate very well, everything was really delicious and plentiful!!! We will be back soon and often!

15/08/2024: Cozy structure. Suitable for a family holiday. The only downside is the paid fresh water shower.

01/08/2024: Unfortunately, we lost an AirTag in a black waterproof case. It was on my dog‘s collar. The location seems to be on the parking lot near Scooby Doo Beach. So if you should find it, please text me. We put it in lost modus. Maybe you will visit the beach and want to help me find it, text me & I can share the location with you!

02/09/2023: Locale con una posizione fantastica, dove gustare uno Yougurt in compagnia. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dalla vastità di scelte con cui farcire lo yogurt o il gelato soft, e sopratutto la gentilezza e cordialità del personale pronto a soddisfare tutte le richieste. 01/09/2023: Ho avuto il dispiacere di ritrovarmi in questo posto, dato che hanno chiuso lo yogorino di via thaulero (quella bella) che era decisamente più buono. Ho preso una coppa grande di yogurt con varie farciture: non sapeva di NIENTE. Tutto. Anche la nutella. Chiudetelo e ridateci lo yogorino di via thaulero (quella bella).

10/07/2024: Abbiamo preso un sugo pronto ed un secondo. Abbiamo trovato i prezzi cari e il personale maleducato, prodotti non freschissimi 1 pallino è anche troppo. Sconsigliato.

24/06/2024: Ci siamo recati più volte in questa fantastica pescheria! Che dire il materiale è di primissima qualità e pescato direttamente da loro il personale è gentilissimo e sempre pronto ad accoglierti e a spiegarti i prodotti locali e i prodotti che vengono anche cucinati al momento oppure sul menu! Abbiamo provato il sugo pronto di pesce veramente eccellente oltre all’aperitivo con fritto misto (morbidissimo e asciutto) oltre agli eccezionali spaghetti alle vongole, parmigiana di melanzana di pesce top! Va volare via!! 10 e lode! Complimenti!

30/08/2024: We went to this restaurant on the seafront and took advantage of the great feast which includes 4 samples of hot starters, 4 samples of cold starters, 2 first courses, 2 second courses with drinks for 30 euros per person. Everything is the chef's choice, you cannot choose the dishes. Among the first courses we had a very good seafood risotto and some good trofie even if not as great as the rice! Among the second courses we ate fried fish which lacked crunchiness but wasn't bad and cod au gratin with potatoes which we didn't mind. Included in the price is a bottle of water and white wine (terrible). The very friendly and kind waiters made the evening truly pleasant. For 30 euros we recommend it! Ah! The cover charge of 2 euros per person is not included.

23/06/2024: A conferma dell'altra recensione conferma che la cucina di Gelindo è eccezionale. Come solito abbiamo prenotato, arrivati subito accolti dalla titolare la quale ci ha fatto scegliere il tavolo. Serviti dal beverage siamo passati alla comanda con antipasto freddo, mezze maniche agli scampi, un tris di pesce e spiedini di calamari. A chiudere contorni di patatine fritte e insalata 🥗. Sublime tutte le pietanze erano ben calibrate. Tutto eccellente. Rapporto qualità prezzo nella media
