07/05/2025: I spent a pleasant Burlesque themed evening with a fixed menu which I attach in the photo. It was my first time in this lovely place in an excellent location and therefore easily accessible. I will definitely come back to try more of their repertoire and to participate in some other events since I found myself in a young and dynamic environment, my compliments

26/08/2025: It's old, but it has everything you need. Wonderful staff. Excellent food.

04/07/2025: Given that we have already used this structure years ago as a base to then continue the trip, this year we changed because the last time we did not like the room, it would need more maintenance. As for the restaurant we have always had a good time, this year we returned for dinner, really disappointed, spaghetti allo scoglio that were swimming in oil and inedible mixed fry, a cold appetizer incomplete compared to what was written on the menu, annoyed staff and not very attentive to the customer, never to see each other again.

09/11/2025: A small but very welcoming place, decorated with photos of the old Castello. The staff is friendly and ready to explain the various dishes on the menu. The chef is friendly and skilled. There's a wide selection of appetizers, including the cheese and egg balls. The menu also offers a decent selection of first courses, main courses, and side dishes. The wine list is good, especially the Montepulciano di Abruzzo, and the prices are average.

14/10/2025: A welcoming, rustic-style restaurant with beautiful photos and reproductions of paintings by Teofilo Patini. The food was well-prepared. The appetizers and arrosticini were excellent, but everything was delicious.

18/09/2025: I've rarely eaten so badly in my life. Meatballs that even now, five hours later, I can't digest, not to mention the pizza, one of the most horrible I've ever tasted. I'm sorry, but I don't want to feel bad because of others, and it's not fair. If you care about your stomach, don't go.

25/06/2025: The service was slow but very friendly and helpful and we had some nice conversation with the waiter. There was also a cute cat. But the food was not good. The appetizers were the best part. But the pasta was overcooked and bland. You could feel the porcini were frozen (maybe in other places they are also frozen in this time of the year but it can’t be immediately sensed so they are either better kept or bettter seasoned). The arrostisci were okaish but I bought better ones in the supermarket the next day. And tiramisu was like gummy-like and had some frozen parts.

28/07/2025: Avremmo voluto cenare qui, ma non è stato possibile. Tutto prenotato tra le 19:30 e le 20:00 e non prenotavano per orari ulteriori. Se volete mangiare prenotate i pochi tavoli per tempo oppure rinunciatevi.

21/07/2025: Trattoria a conduzione familiare, con piatti cucinati al momento, noi abbiamo preso tagliatelle al cinghiale e uno dei piatti del giorno " un polpettone ripieno di verdure prosciutto e formaggi" entrambi buonissimi...patate al forno e antipasto di bruschette varie e sfiziose, e x finire una cheesecake fatta in casa da scegliere in varie varianti, noi abbiamo scelto con Nutella e granella di nocciole, leggera e davvero speciale. Ringrazio la cordialità della proprietaria e la professionalità ed educazione della ragazza che ci ha servito. Sicuramente ogni volta che torneremo da queste parti saremo vostri ospiti. Il prezzo adeguato e meno caro degli altri posti della zona. Grazie

19/05/2025: Devo dire molto buono sotto tutti gli aspetti, ottima posizione dato che si trova a Mosciano stazione ed è un ottimo punto di incontro per chiunque, il proprietario molto gentile e disponibile così come il suo staff, ingredienti e materia prima di ottima qualità, non mi resta che consigliarvelo vivamente

25/04/2025: Da Cacio e Peppe ci siamo sentiti subito accolti. Bruschette al pomodoro semplici e deliziose, seguite da un menù ricco che spazia tra pizze a lunga lievitazione (72 ore!) e piatti di carne curati e gustosi. Molto apprezzata l’attenzione alle intolleranze, con la possibilità di avere mozzarella senza lattosio, raro da trovare e segno di grande cura. Ottima anche la birra alla spina, dal gusto fresco e bilanciato. E per finire, un babà napoletano davvero speciale.. soffice, profumato, indimenticabile. Peppe, il titolare, con la sua esperienza e passione, sa come far sentire ogni cliente al centro. Un posto dove si mangia bene e ci si sente bene. Torneremo con piacere! ❤️

02/11/2025: I can't judge the quality of the food because I didn't eat. But the experience wasn't satisfactory. After the horseback ride, some of the group wanted to eat arrosticini, there were 10 of us in total. Only 4 of us ate. Only 4 people were seated; the rest were standing and had brought packed lunches since arrosticini weren't served. Those sitting at the table ordered arrosticini, beer, and a scamorza. The table wasn't set, and no glasses were brought. They were sitting on a picnic bench, but again, only 4 people were seated (also because only those 4 people could fit). A cover charge was charged for everyone. 6 people didn't use any service. The problem isn't the money; a 2 euro cover charge won't change anyone's life (we paid 20 euros cover charge, and 4 of us ate), but I don't think this is the right way to behave. Disappointing.

03/11/2025: Pleasant experience; welcoming place, friendly staff, good, traditional food, reasonable prices. The only downside is the wait, which was a bit too long. I understand that in the fall, which is not the peak season, there are fewer staff, but arriving around 1:30 PM and leaving after 3:30 PM seems a bit long for a lunch for four. We'll definitely be back, but we hope for a shorter wait :) Good luck, and thank you.

02/11/2025: I had lunch here today with a friend, the only restaurant where we found a table after 1 pm without a reservation, and we were grateful to be able to eat something hot. However, the bill was very annoying, as it was clearly higher than the reality. For starters, the cover charge was apparently €2.50 per person, contrary to what was stated on the menu. They treated us like idiots because we couldn't read that amount, and I challenge anyone to read €2.50 on even one of the two menus you see in the photo. Then I asked what the first course of the day was, and we were told spaghetti alla chitarra and polenta, and a third course that I don't remember, so it cost €10 as was clearly stated, but the polenta was charged €12, as were the stuffed pasta and gnocchi. For second courses, a pork chop that arrived as an overcooked and chewy chop, and a roast scamorza cheese that wasn't actually roasted, but rather freshly reheated. The cost of the pitcher of water, still and not sparkling, as stated on the receipt, was €2.50, and it wasn't listed on the menu. Ignoring the quality of the main courses and the mistake with the water, the cost of which remains unknown to the customer, the amount charged was at least 7% higher than the deductible from the menu. Now, €3 more on €41.50 doesn't make me poor, and it probably won't make the restaurant super rich, but treating customers like idiots is definitely not a winning marketing strategy and only leads to a bad reputation. The first courses were very good, however.

01/09/2025: This piadina shop was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel where we stayed. The piadina is excellent, prepared by the owner, who is truly talented. We also had amatriciana and carbonara, both freshly prepared and the best we've ever had. The charcuterie board was also delicious. The owner and his two daughters were incredibly welcoming. Excellent value for money. We'll be back!

16/11/2025: I really don't know what to say because my husband barely ate anything. It's a shame because the place is quite nice, but the food wasn't tasty and the service was just awful. I really don't know what to say.

21/09/2025: Beautiful place...very kind waiters...fresh and cooked food that makes you want to eat forever.

25/08/2025: We gave one star because 0 wasn't possible. The place was dirty and messy, the waitress was disinterested, the service was inattentive, and the tablecloths were stained with hair and insects. The pasta alla boscaiola was soaked in oil, the chitarrine al ragù was overcooked and sour, and the portions were enormous; the arrosticini were undercooked. The bathrooms were dirty and smelly. It's an experience I'll tell my grandchildren about. The only positive aspect was the price.

02/09/2025: We arrived at the refuge around 3 PM, but even though we'd eaten, they cooked us delicious arrosticini right there. It's worth coming all the way here just to have a coffee and enjoy the view. Friendly staff, clean restrooms, and lovely tables in the woods!

13/08/2025: You arrive and find yourself in this family-run refuge, served by a wonderful, kind, and extremely helpful lady at the counter. We've been here a week and had the best sandwich in all of Abruzzo: sausage, broccoli rabe, and provola. Exceptional desserts. Everything homemade and strictly fresh. Five stars superior!!!

21/07/2025: A place with ample parking, even for trucks. I would have given the food three stars, but I'm only giving it two because it's cooked quickly, considering it's a work canteen. The staff is polite and friendly. The restrooms could use some updating, as they're a bit worn and you can't lock the door. I noticed the price is a bit high for a canteen, because for a small bottle of water, two burgers with fries, and a very small portion of peas, I paid €15, and I didn't get bread, a first course, or any appetizing fruit. The caramel and chocolate self-service cafes have recently restricted parking a bit, and the prices have gone up a bit.
