08/09/2025: I can't rate either the food or the drinks. We weren't even served. The waiter saw us, but preferred to keep fiddling with his phone. After 20 minutes, we'd had enough and left.

Primi piatti di buona qualità ma scarsi
16/07/2025: Abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno dei vent’anni del mio ragazzo ed è stata un’ottima scelta.
Piatti tipici e particolari molto buoni.
Abbiamo apprezzato sia il tagliere di salumi veramente delizioso e anche il fatto che la pasta fosse fatta a mano.
Speriamo di tornarci.

03/06/2025: Excellent! Location that allows you to relax and dive into the past! Spacious rooms (fra giacomo and fra Pasquetto), comfortable beds and cleanliness everywhere… very friendly welcome!
Excellent location, parking in Piazza Vittorio Veneto (porta Napoli) close to the B&B and free, two steps and you are in the historic center … I will definitely return, thank you!

24/08/2025: We're not arguing about the quality of the dishes, but a portion of chips (one potato cut into slices) at 7 euros seems a bit expensive, just as a first course (7 paccheri) at 17 euros is excessive. This is not tourism... learn from Trentino.
24/08/2025: Tourists can be fooled once, but the second time they won't return. Paying 36 euros per person for things I'd easily eat elsewhere for half the price and in larger quantities left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm not saying tourism shouldn't be part of the equation, but doing so will destroy it.

08/09/2025: Very good food and wine: I ate Chitarra alla teramana and a glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine, for the whole thing I paid 18 EUR and I was full 😉

17/09/2025: I walked in just after it opened at 8 PM. There were two tables with people at them. I had made a reservation. There was one table with one place set for me. I assumed I sat down two more groups, walked down and sat down and got water and wine and I got nothingI consider that rudeness and not to be tolerated
11/09/2025: Chosen for a quick dinner after a stroll around Santo Stefano. The lentil soup was excellent, as were the gnocchi with ragù. The waiter who served us was courteous. The service was more than timely. Good value for money.

13/08/2025: We went in for a coffee and also had a slice of ciambellone. There was a sign hanging that said ciambellone 1.20 euros. Too bad the bill said 1.50. Well done, you're wasted for 30 cents, you starving people.

04/03/2025: It seems like they're/have changed something in the management. The menu wasn't up to date, and the arrosticini were completely missing (how could they be sold out on a Saturday night at 9 PM?), and perhaps it's no longer one of the main dishes. The appetizers of cured meats and cheeses were adequate, and the grilled meats were very good, but the choice of main courses was limited. The price was fair.

13/08/2025: You arrive and find yourself in this family-run refuge, served by a wonderful, kind, and extremely helpful lady at the counter. We've been here a week and had the best sandwich in all of Abruzzo: sausage, broccoli rabe, and provola. Exceptional desserts. Everything homemade and strictly fresh. Five stars superior!!!
11/08/2025: A lovely summer walk along the Roccaraso blue slope to reach the refuge. Sandwiches, first courses, or main courses with grilled meats. Tables under the trees. Friendly hosts. If you're a couch potato, you can take the chairlift. Prices are more than fair for a refuge.

06/10/2025: Completely negative, and I'm sorry. From the appetizers, there were many products, but of poor quality, to the first courses, at least for the ones my wife and I had. I won't specify which ones were inedible. Moreover, the prices weren't exactly cheap; in fact, the atmosphere was reminiscent of a 1960s/70s city-dwelling restaurant, hardly fitting for a mountain restaurant. It was also a bit cold in the dining room. The staff was very kind and quick, they won't see us again. Of course, this is just my opinion.
28/09/2025: The owner and staff were friendly, but the quality/price ratio was terrible. A single appetizer cost €19, followed by two tagliata (a slice of meat), a half-liter of house wine, and a bottle of water, for a total of €97. The tagliata (a slice of meat) weren't priced, and that made the difference: €30 for a simple tagliata (veal steak), which generally costs €18 in other restaurants. I wasn't expecting such a high price for such a simple, poorly maintained setting.

Pluripremiati… questa pizzeria riesce a farti commuovere per la bontà a ogni singolo morso… che gustiate la soffice, croccante o gourmet dietro c’è un serio lavoro di presentazione e gusto…. Io e mia moglie siam rimasti senza parole dinanzi a simil maestria…. Prodotti del territorio di eccellenza e impasti unici!!! Vi auguro di eccellere sempre !!!

09/08/2025: We decided to return because the first time, during a birthday party, the appetizer, pizza, and arrosticini options were good. This time, it was a disappointment. I'd skip the meat dishes, which are beyond comment. We ordered chicken burgers with fries for our daughter, and we received a frozen chicken burger with fries from the packets alongside. No comment.
07/06/2025: Ideal for group dinners and or class etc. Suitable for children because there is a beautiful garden outside where they can play. Excellent value for money. Recommended

14/08/2025: The place is quiet and welcoming; the menu is quite varied, and many dishes are also available in gluten-free versions (I especially recommend the pizzas and fried foods, which are excellent for both the quality of the ingredients and the texture and flavor). Highly recommended!
