12/06/2026: Food: They took away a starter from a table whose seasoning was sour, and brought it to our table, feeding it to a girl. The food was cold. The guy (in charge) was unhumble and unprofessional. Service = 0 friendliness This isn't the Matsu of a few years ago!

15/05/2026: Its a but hard to order for people whom dont speak italian. Otherwisw really nice and tasty, just small portions. They also serve in the “siesta” which is really nice.

11/04/2026: I recently visited this sushi restaurant and the overall experience was truly positive. The food deserves a solid 4/5: the fish was fresh and beautifully presented, with a good variety of dishes on the menu. Some of the dishes were truly excellent, although there's still room for improvement to reach absolute excellence. The service, however, was impeccable (5/5). The staff was friendly, attentive, and always available, without ever being intrusive. Wait times were short, and everything was handled with great professionalism. The ambiance is another strong point (5/5): a refined, elegant, and relaxing place, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. The atmosphere truly contributes to a pleasant experience. In conclusion, a restaurant I definitely recommend, especially for those looking for quality, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. 🍣 Compliments to the staff

06/02/2026: Excellent restaurant in the heart of Corigliano d'Otranto. The all-you-can-eat menu is excellent, with excellent value and dishes that are both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The staff is attentive to detail, friendly, and very professional. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening with friends. I will definitely be back.

18/05/2026: A seaside-style restaurant in the center of Otranto. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The mussels and catch of the day are highly recommended. The grilled fish is truly superb, a must-try. Fast and attentive service.

06/05/2026: Highly recommend! So impressed tasty food great service. We ordered the special of the day pasta with cubed fresh monkfish cooked in a flavorful light yellow tomato sauce which compliments it perfectly, hubby had the perfectly grilled octopus in a broad bean purée & chicory.

29/05/2026: I've only tried the Japanese portion of the menu, so I can't comment on the Thai offerings. I should point out that I'm not a chef, but I've visited Japan three times and enjoy comparing what I taste with the experiences I've gained during those trips. Among the dishes I particularly enjoyed, I'd highlight the wild salmon tartare and the purple shrimp, both truly delicious and well-executed. Otherwise, I wasn't entirely impressed with some of the details. The seaweed in the rolls didn't seem particularly crispy, and the wasabi didn't strike me as high-quality. I also didn't appreciate the fact that soy sauce is charged separately, which, in my opinion, is a fundamental accompaniment to Japanese cuisine. In this regard, I'd appreciate greater transparency with customers: in our case, the soy sauce refill was offered directly by the staff without any mention of the additional cost. We're talking about a modest sum (1 euro), so it's certainly not a question of cost, but I would have appreciated being informed in advance for the sake of clarity and fairness towards the customer. I also found the use of Philadelphia cheese in some dishes questionable: it's a choice I personally associate more with Westernized Japanese cuisine or an all-you-can-eat option than with a restaurant aiming for a superior dining experience. I would, however, like to highlight the courtesy and helpfulness of the dining room staff, who were kind and professional throughout the dinner. Overall, while I recognized some of the dishes as good, I didn't feel the quality-price ratio justified the expense. Considering the price level, I would have expected greater attention to detail and ingredients that would make a greater difference. This is, of course, just my personal experience, and I share it with respect and without any intention of controversy. I believe that opinions, whether positive or negative, can be helpful when expressed constructively.

10/05/2026: I went there yesterday with my son. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. The service was impeccable, prompt, and polite, with good timing (I've been to places where they didn't give you time to finish the appetizers before they brought you the first course). The dishes were very well presented and excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and clean, and I'd definitely do it again. 5 stars are definitely deserved.

28/03/2026: We returned to Kaori after the change of management. The welcome was immediately pleasant, and the atmosphere suited the setting, with just the right amount of lighting that didn't tire us out throughout the entire dinner. We mostly love eating at the counter, and here we immediately met Thiago, a Brazilian-born chef with experience at various sushi restaurants, including Nobu Milano. Speaking with him, we immediately understood his passion for his work and his dedication to listening to his customers' needs. The right amount of dialogue and surprises the chef offers are crucial to the omasake experience, and in our case, we also share his love for citrusy, bolder flavors, unlike the current trend at most sushi restaurants, making the dishes extremely sweet with the magical soy sauce that covers everything. In short, the perfect blend of Oriental and local flavors that the Kaori staff manages to convey.

01/02/2026: It's a shame that the Kaorino cocktail bar isn't a standalone review (only the restaurant is listed here), because it deserves its own review. A very refined location, an intimate and private atmosphere, and well-crafted cocktails. The only thing I can't justify is the €3 cover charge per person: we dined at the bar, with no table service and not even water included. In other cities or abroad, similar service is accompanied by tangible elements (filtered water, welcome snacks, table setting). A pleasant experience, but this detail completely clashes with the quality of the concept.

10/05/2026: I visited this restaurant with my family for the first time. Finding parking wasn't easy, but as soon as we entered we were greeted warmly. At first glance, the place made a good impression: spacious, well-kept, and clearly recently opened. Our table was in a room with mirrored walls that didn't look too sharp, a detail I appreciated. To order, we used the QR code and filled out the order with pen and paper. I really appreciated the fact that, after taking the order, the waiter left a copy of the order at the table. However, there were some lapses during service: one dish never arrived, while others were brought to us by mistake and then sent back. For another dish, we had to request service because it hadn't been delivered. Overall, the service was good and quick, but not impeccable. The sashimi and tartare were very good. Compared to other similar restaurants, however, the scampi, raw shrimp, and oysters were missing. The restaurant's real strength is the rolls, which are truly well-made. The grilled shrimp are also excellent. The first courses and some second courses are weaker, however: I found the first courses, in particular, to be lacking in flavor. The bill is on the high side. I'd need a few more reasons to return.

05/05/2026: We stopped by chance, we got a bao with salmon but it disappointed me, the salmon was dry and the bread seemed industrial. The rest of the rolls were not exceptional, they seemed prepared hours before, especially the rolls with the shrimp temperature inside, rubbery and lukewarm. I will not go back

19/04/2026: We had lunch at this beautiful place today, and were greeted with such courtesy and kindness!!! The place is beautiful, clean, and very large...we ordered right away, and the dishes arrived quickly. Each dish was better than the last; it was truly a very enjoyable lunch!! It was also a chance for my son, who is very passionate about it, to practice some Chinese words. ☺️🤗 We'll be back again, with immense pleasure, and I recommend you try this beautiful place. ❤️

08/03/2026: We ate at Hanami on a Saturday night; the atmosphere is very elegant and refined. The service appears good, but sometimes dishes marked as delivered aren't actually delivered, and they have to be reordered, causing confusion at the table. In terms of speed, you can't beat a packed house on a Saturday night. The food is okay, but given the price, I expected something more refined and unique.

Beautiful, it's good, nothing special but the service was excellent, excellent cleanliness and a beautiful atmosphere, everyone treated you very well, the menu was very easy and with very good and special things, beautiful, thank you because they also give away a delicious biscuit ❤️

19/08/2025: The food is good, and the tables are good, but unless you have two hours available for lunch, it could be a problem. We arrived at 1 PM and ordered right afterward. The place was half empty, and we waited an hour and a half for five sushi orders. You can wait that long sitting at a table watching the waiters upstairs and downstairs bring dishes, and yours never arrives.

29/06/2025: I was truly impressed by this restaurant: the sushi is incredibly fresh, carefully prepared, and elegantly presented. Every bite is an explosion of flavor, especially the nigiri and special uramaki, which are a must-try! The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive, without ever being intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxing and refined, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. The value for money is also excellent, considering the quality of the fish and the variety of the menu. I will definitely be back!

01/07/2026: My partner, her niece, and I had dinner at this beautiful, modern, and welcoming all-you-can-eat restaurant. Everything was excellent, especially the sashimi, carpaccio, and tartare, all made with the freshest fish. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their melt-in-your-mouth seafood dishes.
