11/05/2025: NO, NEVER AGAIN. Guys, if you are looking for a good sushi restaurant, this is not for you. Terrible service... arrived at 9.15pm served at 10.30pm and already here we are off to a bad start. Some pieces of sushi were good but others could have avoided putting them on the menu. The sweet and sour beef was an inedible hard piece of cardboard. I spent a whopping €70 for this experience. Never again.

11/05/2025: Never again. Few staff and consequently very slow service. Beef gyoza and other inedible starters. The sushi wasn't bad but spending a lot to leave dissatisfied is also not a good idea!

25/04/2025: I want to leave my review for last night's experience in this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, good service. The boy who served us and advised us was very kind and knowledgeable. We ate the mussels au gratin (excellent). Seafood salad, good. First I chose linguine with clams, the dish looked good but I still don't know if I ate clams or lupins since it was served to me without the shell. For me first time ever, still good. My husband chose ziti with cherry tomatoes and monkfish. We were recommended an excellent white wine. For dessert, a revisited tiramisu that we shared. Value for money a little high. Overall good I recommend it.

22/03/2025: Walking through the streets of Otranto it is a pleasure to have lunch at the Oste. A characteristic and tastefully furnished restaurant in a Mediterranean style, with the colors of Salento that warm your heart. The host Eliseo, with his culinary skills and his delicacies, made us lick our lips, especially with the fried cod and the pasta with monkfish. Alessandro welcomes us with a smile and professionalism, he made us feel at home right away. I have already been back three times and I will return very soon!

17/04/2025: We went to Hokkaido for lunch and it was a super experience! The sushi was very fresh, all delicious and also special, with different combinations than usual. The service is top notch, super kind and attentive, they really make you feel at home. Welcoming and relaxed environment. We will definitely be back, highly recommended!

08/04/2025: THE FALL OF A MYTH I've been going to this sushi place since I was 15 — so you know, I'm 22 now. In the three-year period from 2019 to 2022 I undoubtedly considered it the best sushi in the city. Unfortunately, however, things change. And this is also demonstrated by the number of people who frequent it on Saturdays for lunch: once upon a time they were forced to make you sit outside due to how many people there were, today the clientele has practically halved, also thanks to the growing competition in the city. But the real cause of this decline is quality. Once the food was fresh and delicious, but now it often happens that some dishes do not taste as they should, and in some cases are even unpleasant. The biggest problem, however, is that this sushi has never updated. It continued to offer eight-piece portions, despite the fact that by 2025 practically all Japanese restaurants will offer four-piece portions, which are much more convenient and accessible. The portions of eight prevent you from tasting many different dishes, and this severely penalizes the overall experience. The three stars could have been two, but I can't give such a low rating to a restaurant that in the past gave me perhaps the best sushi meals of my life. A real shame…
