27/06/2025: Twice out of two, dining at this place has been a truly magical experience. The environment is welcoming and well-kept, while the staff is very kind and knowledgeable (even in cases of food intolerances). The dishes are exquisite, accompanied by a selection of sake proposed by a passionate sommelier, who enchants with his stories and makes the tasting even more special.

17/06/2025: I am in Japan 5-6 times a year, so I know what good Japanese food tastes like. Sakeya is a fantastic place with great service. We tried salmon with mikanzu, kushiyaki (skewers), wagyu (Japanese beef), yaki tako (octopus), uramaki sushi - and the fantastic mango x3 dessert and the 3 types of wagashi (Japanese sweets). Some dishes were typical Japanese - others were creative compositions combining Japanese and Western cuisine. The service was top class and highly knowledgeable - advising on the menu and the large selection of sake.

22/06/2025: It was our second time at your Omakase counter and we can confirm that we had a great time, for us it was one of the best experiences we had! We will definitely come back.

02/06/2025: High-level Japanese cuisine experience, lunch/dinner for a limited number of people (7 diners) with the chef who explains the meaning of each course and prepares each course before your eyes. An unforgettable experience for the palate. To try at least once in a lifetime for sushi lovers.

29/05/2025: I had eaten there before but this lunch today was terrible service without a constant change of fish and dishes often only black dishes, that is, the most expensive ones some that have been around for a long time have become inedible so much so that I sent them back including the steamed ravioli that are hard and cold just to say that, for the price they have, the quality should be excellent not to mention the staff, not very polite while I leave the table, I try to collect my things but he intervenes preventing me from leaving I point this out to him, he responds with arrogance and indifference I suggest to the gentlemen owners of Basara to choose the staff more carefully. 90 euros 8 small plates and a bottle of water!!!! THE FOOD IS A SERIOUS THING alas, it's just fluff

02/06/2025: VERY BAD Last night I had a bad time. Terrible service and small uramaki. I asked for spicy salmon uramaki and they arrived normal ... I mentioned it to the waiter and he answered me with condescension and walked away I didn't like it even if I used to go there often now I think it has gotten much worse both in management and in service as well as in food

02/06/2025: The atmosphere of the place is delightful, the garden furnished and lit in a really pleasant way (apart from the plastic flowers ... really a fall from grace). We ate very well, some dishes really excellent (the flambéed lobster or the matcha and chocolate dessert), others not memorable, but above all we had great availability from the kitchen to add orders or make small changes to the dishes - also thanks to a very quiet evening with few tables occupied. Juri was attentive and discreet, we appreciated the service very much.

26/06/2025: We had dinner at Nishiki Milano and the experience was truly excellent. The Japanese restaurant is very elegant, with booths that guarantee privacy and an intimate atmosphere. The service was impeccable: waiters present, kind and very attentive to the needs of the customer. The Japanese dishes were tasty, well presented and made with quality ingredients. The wide selection of wines was also excellent and, surprisingly, the desserts were truly excellent: original, well-prepared and perfect to end the dinner. An excellent choice for those looking for a refined Japanese dinner in Milan, reservations recommended

The food is of the highest quality, with original and surprising combinations, difficult to find elsewhere in the city. The flavors are well balanced and always taken care of. The service is excellent: attentive, courteous and professional. The environment also deserves a special mention, with elegant and particular decor, which makes the experience even more pleasant. An ideal place for those looking for refined and unusual sushi. Highly recommended.

20/06/2025: After trying it 2 years ago we returned during the week, it seems to have changed management. The difference in service is profound. The food is excellent but for having spent €140 per person in my opinion it is not acceptable that both bottles of white wine were warm, €100 of white wine poured warm, no thanks. We also remembered the tasting menu. With the menu in hand we decide to take it for the table and only when ordering we are told that it should be ordered at least at midday for the evening, with plenty of notice. In a restaurant like this I would expect to be notified at least at the time of booking of this change. 2 years ago we ordered it on the spot. The portions are not abundant, so we decide to order extra nigiri during the meal. We are told that they have run out of rice. THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF RICE. Ok. It is time for dessert, we would like the Japanese dessert on the menu, the one with the egg. No way, that too is finished. The waiter also spoke Italian quite badly, they struggled to understand him. Too bad because the food was really good. I had another memory of it. Too bad.

16/06/2025: What are the best sushi experiences that you can have in Milan. The stuff is mostly Japanese-speaking and very knowledgeable about the dishes. The fish quality is excellent and the atmosphere makes it feel like you are in Japan, not Milan.
