24/04/2025: I have been a customer of the Osteria di Fornio for at least ten years, although I go about once a year due to the distance between my place of residence and Fidenza. This restaurant is a real point of reference for good Emilian cuisine, expertly revisited by the chef in a more contemporary key, without however distorting it. At these levels of quality it is difficult to talk about dishes being better than others. However, I would like to point out the Buon Insieme menu, thanks to which we got to know the Osteria di Fornio years ago, which represents an excellent way to get to know the dishes of this place and its territory at 360°. The welcome from the dining room staff was also genuine and professional, led by the friendly husband of the chef and co-owner. A service as warm as that of taverns and as attentive as that of an excellent restaurant. Absolutely recommended and, without doubt, we will continue to return.

27/05/2025: We were there on Sunday evening in 4. We took 4 tasting menus and 1 bottle of Taurasi for €50. Total expense €350. Everything was very satisfying, well presented dishes that combined in a balanced way some local ingredients with other more "foreign" ones. Kind and knowledgeable staff, a small slip on the description of the wine that however was not a problem. I do not live in the area but if I were to have the opportunity I would gladly return.

18/05/2025: A nice lawyer from Parma had told me about the La Valle restaurant, together we had shared the table at a Champagne-themed dinner last summer, alternating our impressions of the dishes and glasses that we gradually found in front of us with the sharing of our experiences in frequenting the places in the city and surrounding areas. If, at least from the name, I could have imagined arriving in a place nestled between the first hills above Fidenza, I could not have made a bigger mistake. You go up, to enjoy a magnificent view of the Po Valley, open 180° before your eyes, the horizon limited only by that veil of evening mist of a day that was full of light. Unfortunately I forgot to take some photos of the outside, the parking lot leads to a large veranda that embraces the entire building, in front of a beautiful lawn, several aperitif tables where you can linger for a few minutes before finally moving inside. You are welcomed by a refined environment, the distances, the essential lines of the floor and walls, the spaces, the discreet lighting relax the senses, designed to enjoy a dinner without disturbing or being disturbed. The dining room staff have never lacked courtesy, above all attention and professionalism, the precise description of the preparations and above all the idea of ​​each of our 5 courses, completely in the dark, left to the choice of the kitchen. A journey from water to earth, from lightness to intensity, first freshness then the soft embrace of a new vision of the classics of the Emilian tradition, rightly a lot of space for stuffed pasta and broths, the choice to enhance if not exactly the km 0, at least the “right” km is essential. Unquestionable raw materials, interpreted with imagination and precision, all very good dishes, but truly extraordinary the brioche bread with beef tongue and, for once, I feel like focusing on the dessert, not only the point of arrival but as has rarely happened to me the true protagonist, in the delightful friability of the Torta di Rose. Among the pairings chosen for us, a plus for the Saint-Joseph Blanc “Vessettes” from Domaine de la Roche Paradis, varied and exotic, with a decidedly mineral matrix well underlined in the finish of the mouth. If I ever meet the lawyer again, I will have to thank him… 🙂

23/03/2025: We were in Fidenza for an event, and had lunch here on a Sunday. Genuine, traditional, authentic food: all really tasty. The location also reflects the description of the food exactly. Friendly and nice waiters. We will definitely be back!

21/05/2025: Location is comfortable, right at the exit of the highway. We got one portion of Tagliatelle al Ragau (Bolognese) and one of tortelli with butter sauce. The tagliatelle were easily there worst tagliatelle al Ragù that I have ever tried, with the sauce and the meet being watery and tasteless. The tortelli were average (in the restaurant in the service station on the highway you can find a similar level). The price is also aligned with highway service station prices. The location is quite nice and well maintained. The staff was polite.

03/05/2025: I would consider myself a regular here, I stopped on multiple (more than 10) occasions during my time living in Italy. I would purposely get a hotel nearby at the cube so I could purposely eat/drink here. It ended up being one of my favorite restaurants in all of Italy to include the food served downstairs and upstairs. Excellent torta fritta and drinks that came with charcuterie boards. This is the best spot to eat an amazing meal, get turned up, and go walk through the outlet mall across the street.

27/02/2025: Inspired by the name of this place (Sardinian footprint) my husband and I decide to go in and try it. What can I say! It was a real revelation. We were welcomed by Arianna the room manager who made us feel at ease straight away. Once we decided what to order he recommended an excellent Sardinian white wine which went very well with the dishes we chose. Being Sardinian we too couldn't help but try the seafood dishes. prepared by chef Riccardo Marras. But let's start with the appetizer. We ordered a seafood tartare, accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit. Top quality raw scampi and prawns, truly excellent, were served to us accompanied by sauces. Crispy prawns with caramelized onion, e A delicious mussel soup with that fresh basil that gave a touch of spring to the sauce. While we opted for the seafood fregola as a first course, it was so good that it catapulted us into our own island. A dish full of flavour, where the ingredients were lovingly combined in this delicious dish. As a second course we ordered fried calamari to share. What can I say, the fried food is also excellent. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. And the vegetables that accompanied this dish were sublime. We couldn't order dessert because we were packed. But the head nurse had a surprise in store for us. At the end of the meal he left a small bottle of Mirto (made by them) on the table. Regarding the location, I can say that it has really large spaces. A huge garden where in the height of summer you can have lunch or dinner outdoors. There is also a lovely outdoor children's area, but the thing that surprised me most of all was the children's area inside the venue. Finally we parents can eat in peace while the children play. Which is why I also recommend it to parents like you who want to enjoy a peaceful lunch or dinner. there will be no lack of opportunity to return. I recommend booking. Thanks Riccardo and Arianna

03/02/2025: Se si passa sopra al locale molto datato e al menu ' che ahimè si riduce solo a pizza e nulla più, il giudizio è ottimo. La pizza è buonissima ,col radicchio tardivo poi che qui consigliavano in varie recensioni è da volare via. Prezzi modici. Memorabile

28/04/2025: We ask for a platter of raw ham (10 euros) and culatello (15 euros), are they large? The young lady replies: about 10 slices. At the limit, but we order them. They arrive, and the slices are 7 of culatello, 8 of ham. Practically every slice of culatello cost more than 2 euros. At the checkout the distracted husband pays without checking. Once we left, I checked: they marked 4 coffees instead of 2 (we were two adults and a 3-year-old girl, it's difficult to be wrong), then the Saporito sandwich (on the menu 5.50 + 50 focaccia supplements, total 6 euros) magically becomes 6.5 euros or another 50 cents added on top of it, and then there are 3 euros cover charge which wasn't shown on the BAR menu (I think it's for those eating at the restaurant) but even if it was for two placemats and 2 paper napkins are simply unacceptable. Total for 7 slices of culatello, 8 of ham, a small bowl of giardiniera, a focaccia, 2 coffees and a bottle of water 47.6 euros. We always stopped when passing through Fidenza, we will never stop again.
