07/10/2024: Prima volta al San Giorgio. Un’esperienza all’altezza delle aspettative e oltre. Personale disponibile, cordiale e competente. La ricercatezza dei dettagli, la cura dei particolari e l’attenzione alla materia prima la si percepisce già degustando l’entrée proposta dallo chef. Oltre che veramente consigliato, torneremo senz’altro per proseguire l’assaggio del menù.

23/08/2024: Questo posto è perfetto per fare colpo con qualcuno veramente eccellente tutto buonissimo e di alta qualità. Le mezzelune ripiene di carbonara e la tartatin di meme spettacolari. Anche gli gnocchi polpo e patate ottimi. Servizio molto buono, location carina bagno pulito. Da provare consiglio assolutamente. 😊

11/04/2025: What can I say about Osteria del Matto? It was a truly wonderful Umbrian culinary experience. The warm welcome from the lady who’s been cooking everything herself for decades made it feel like home. The service was on point, and the quality-to-price ratio couldn’t be better. The highlight of the meal is definitely the pasta, served at the end, rich in flavor and tradition. The house wine was excellent, and the space itself is beautifully chaotic, filled with a mix of unique and quirky details that make it truly special. If being "matto" (that means crazy) means this kind of atmosphere and food, then count me in. I’ll definitely be back!

10/04/2025: The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is very close to the entrance to the historic city and the Church of San Rufino. I also liked the restaurant, the food was good and reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. However, the room is not comfortable, the bed is very hard, and the shower is above the toilet. They say there is free parking, but we were charged 7 euros for parking. But the worst thing was that they tried to open our door 3 TIMES during our stay: the first time when we arrived, a lady got confused and tried to open our door (we let her pass, it happens), but the next day, we were getting ready to check out and the staff opened our door TWICE! We had not put the card in the electricity because it was clear and we did not know that it indicated whether the room was empty or occupied, but I believe that the hotel should have a control in the form of a list, for example, of which guests have already checked out to avoid this kind of embarrassment.

10/03/2025: I have been frequenting this restaurant for years when I come to Gubbio to work at the Medieval Festival. I have always been happy with both the dishes offered and the kindness of the staff. This evening I propose potato gnocchi with white Chianina ragù and chicken fricco' (typical dish from Gubbio). Excellent value for money. Update to 2025: when I returned for dinner I found that the fresco in the upper room had been restored.

13/01/2025: Sito in posizione centrale, ad una scalinata dalla piazza pensile di Gubbio, questo locale ha un'atmosfera piacevole, di rustico curato, grazie ai grandi travi di legno in vista, ai muri in pietra ed ai quadri apposti con gusto alle pareti. E' piuttosto affollato, soprattutto da gente del posto, come succede ai locali che offrono qualità al giusto prezzo. Il personale è molto gentile ed efficiente, il vino servito al calice di ottima qualità, buoni il carpaccio di carne, i passatelli asciutti con tartufo nero, il risotto alla zucca ed i tozzetti con vin santo. Il prezzo richiesto è ampiamente meritato.

04/04/2025: This bar welcomes visitors to the Clitunno sources in a modern environment. The ice cream and pastries are excellent and there is also the possibility of accessing a pizza place by the slice. Unfortunately there is no easy entrance for disabled people. In the same structure there are also a tea room and a pizzeria restaurant. Outside, in addition to the enchanting view of the Clitunno sources, there is a large car park, an area with a tree and a bench, and a children's play area. Recommended place to enjoy this oasis of tranquility.

17/01/2025: Dear tourists, I sincerely recommend this welcoming trattoria, a platter of quality cold cuts, delicious and delicious strangozzi with mushrooms and truffles, the unique Umbrian panzanella... Tozzetti made by them, super good; a worthy mention for the girls at the service who are delicate and kind, like Andrea. We had a very good dinner both on December 31st and on another evening because although Assisi offers a lot, the food on offer here is really good, genuine and honest. It's nice that such a young team is well organized and motivated. It deserves everything, the food, the place and the detail of the little things, from the plates on which they serve their food to the lanterns that with lit candles accompany you along the beautiful and evocative street! Congratulations to all the staff and you deserve so much success 🙂 Highly recommended 🙂🙂

15/03/2025: Ci siamo andati in occasione di un compleanno in famiglia. Bellissimo posto, ben tenuto e ben curato. Un menú pazzesco, ricchissimo di proposte e materia prima assolutamente di prima scelta. Piatti molto molto abbondanti, ricette di una volta eseguite con molta cura nei dettagli. (Consiglio vivamente la giardiniera!! Sono rimasta a bocca aperta!!) Personale estremamente gentile e cordiale. Tornerò alla prima occasione utile. Super super consigliato!!

19/11/2024: Good but not great, a nice farmhouse near San Gemini. Upon arrival it was packed but despite everything we were quickly served. A house starter that's a bit disjointed and without that touch you expect from similar places, in short, all too commercial. The wild boar first courses and the Sangiminese specialty were normal but my truffle tagliatelle really left me speechless. Pasta bordering on being overcooked with too much cooking water soup which didn't allow it to bind properly with the truffle sauce that was made and remained on its own on the plate, in short I ate plain pasta. I count in the norm.
