31/10/2023: I returned to Montone for the Festa del Bosco and also to my favorite restaurant: a typical Osteria. Despite there being a very limited menu due to the festival, I had delicious dishes: Chianina Carpaccio and lamb, in particular. The owner, who recognized us, also offered us a great glass of Umbrian prosecco. Thank you.

20/03/2024: You expect much more from an Umbrian country restaurant. The appetizers (cold cuts and cheeses) seem very "supermarket", fettuccine strictly "Not homemade". The only good thing is the mixed grill (pork and lamb)

03/05/2024: We arrived at 1pm and ordered 3 fettuccine and a ravioli. After 5 minutes we asked the waiter for a cutting board but we were told that they had put the pasta away (as if the cutting board might get cold or I don't know what). The fettuccine arrived after 30 minutes. After eating the fettuccine we asked for a platter and a portion of lamb.. ​​on the platter we asked for 2 pieces of cheese. We were told that cheese was not included (they had 2 wheels of cheese in plain sight but even with an increase in price it was not possible to have it). Meanwhile it was 3.30pm and the lamb still hasn't arrived. There were about twenty people and more than one table complained about the long wait. My wife asks the waiter how much longer we had to wait, and in response he returns to the table with a photo of the lamb being cooked. At that point I ask for the bill to leave. (In the altercation that ensued, the owner's wife let slip that the lamb she had photographed was from another table. 4pm. Furthermore, I turn to the owner, but how the hell did you make us pay 104 euros for 3 fettuccine, 1 ravioli, a half liter of wine and 2 bottles of water. Lastly without a receipt (also our fault as we were so pissed off by now that we didn't we couldn't wait to leave CHANGE JOBS

12/10/2023: Insieme a due amici fiorentini sono stato ospite di un comume amico umbro in questa piacevolissima locanda. Accolti con genuina simpatia dalla titolare abbiamo mangiato veramente bene in una veranda affacciata sulla campagna. Complimenti davvero!! E grazie al nostro Nobile Amico...

01/03/2024: Abbiamo mangiato divinamente: sono sincero ero scettico per la location che, da fuori, sembrava effettivamente troppo "giocosa", da giullare appunto!! Invece, dall'antipasto al primo (i caratteristici manfricoli, cacio, pepe e tartufo), al secondo - tagliata al sale con contorno gustosissimo di patate aromatiche al forno - per finire con un dolcissimo tiramisù!! Il tutto ovviamente innaffiato da un "equilibrato" (termine usato dalla compagna sommelier) Montefalco Rosso!! Consigliatissimo anche per lo staff molto gentile e cordiale!!!

17/12/2023: Ristorante semplice che propone piatti del territorio a 200 metri dal Santuario. Sala bella ampia, arredamento un po’ retró ma con il caminetto acceso si crea una piacevole atmosfera. Staff competente, forse tempi di attesa un tantino lunghi ma nel complesso buon pranzo domenicale.

13/03/2024: We had a divine meal on the way back from Perugia to Rome. Everyone was very friendly, and we were offered an all-inclusive meal plan. Excellent starters, first courses, second courses and side dishes, and generous portions. The house wine can be worked on, but it still didn't ruin a wonderful experience. They also managed to satisfy the request of a vegetarian boy and a celiac. Absolutely recommended!!!

19/11/2023: Personale gentile e disponibile siamo in 9 e ordiniamo due pizze una bistecca e 6 giropizza. Considerando che è sabato e il locale è pieno i piatti arrivano in tempi giusti e devo dire che le pizze erano veramente buone . Tornero' per assaggiare i primi e i secondi che ho visto passare in altri tavoli dall' aspetto molto invitante Lo consiglio ...grazie e ci vedismo presto!

08/03/2024: Unico punto debole: il tempo d'attesa. Per il resto tutto ok, ottima la crescia con mortadella di cinghiale e caciotta. Locale accogliente e molto curato. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato.

31/12/2023: ...Osteria del Tempo Lost is a really, really nice place. Found while wandering around Google and not at all obvious; a small but welcoming environment where it feels like being at home. Walls completely "frescoed" by customers who have stopped to eat here over time. We had a sliced ​​meat and a mixed grill and in the meantime we tasted their "appetizer" based on really good local cured meats and cheeses. As a side dish I took the cabbage and my husband the roasted potatoes: the cabbage as a side dish is quite unusual, but from my point of view it denotes attention to the seasonality of the products. The result is really positive, we left the restaurant satisfied with everything, from the food to the service. I recommend it!!!

19/11/2023: In cerca di un ristorante in zona Magione per fare una sosta a pranzo, incuriositi dalle recensioni abbiamo prenotato per il pranzo in questo locale alla mano, che ci ha regalato una bellissima esperienza. Siamo sul monte Melino, immersi nel verde e circondati da pace e tranquillità. Abbiamo chiesto un assaggio dei piatti tipici di zona, a partire dall’antipasto, bello ricco (con torta al testo, ottima), poi abbiamo proseguito con gli umbricelli “all’ignorante” e gli gnocchi al tartufo. Abbiamo fatto anche un vario assaggio dei secondi, e dobbiamo dire con piacere che tutto ciò che abbiamo assaggiato è stato veramente impeccabile. Prodotti di aualità, piatti fatti in casa sul momento, ricchi di sapori della tradizione umbra. Se volete mangiare tipico, a prezzi onesti, qui andate sul sicuro. Il personale, che ha effettuato un servizio impeccabile e rapidissimo, è composto da persone gentili e professionali. Il titolare , nonché chef, molto disponibile e alla mano. Conserveremo un bellissimo ricordo di questo posto e.. sicuramente torneremo presto!! P.s. gli gnocchi al tartufo valgono il viaggio!!! Complimenti

24/09/2023: Just wow! On top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley, a restaurant in a tiny village which serves stunning food. It’s really worth the drive to get there! Had the wild boar and truffle with spinach and chocolate cake. So delicious. Such a relaxing setting and lovely friendly hosts, you must visit!

06/03/2024: Medium level restaurant, prices not adequate for the quality in my opinion. Good cuisine but which does not excel in anything in particular other than truffle bruschetta, at least for our menu choices. We in fact took truffle bruschetta which remain high in price in Narni and almost in line with the rest of the restaurants if we take the Toscan, but good and we asked for the oil to put on the table, quality oil as befits the area. Followed by grilled steak, potato, egg and truffle in a crock and another Valenrina dish based on meat with stuffing. Good, but I wouldn't go back to eat them. Quality cherry wine. It's a shame about the location, dark and decidedly subdued even in the dated and dull furnishings. Cramped and uncomfortable bathroom next to the kitchen. Overall an average place but low average for the area, due to high prices and average quality with a dull location and below average toilets.

26/02/2024: Pessimo servizio ho ordinato cicoria ripassata e dopo un 'ora mi hanno detto che non c'era ho preso quindi un insalata poverissima.Per primo manfricoli alle verdure per tre persone ma era pronta solo una porzione gli altri hanno preso manfricoli cacio e pepe. Ma è mai possibile che un ristorante deve avere le verdure contate?
