You go there for lunch and everything changes!
Finally, not a banal place, a diner or a bar that tries to be more than it is.
The first time I went there for dinner, I thought it opened late for aperitifs and dinner.
Instead, it's also open for lunch, during your work lunch break. You go and eat, fast, courteous, and super interesting.
Thoughtful wines and honest dishes.

07/05/2025: Auf unserer Italienreise genossen wir mehrere Male die wunderbare Küche der Caciosteria Umbra in Riva Trigoso. Daneben assen wir auch sehr gut in Umbrien und der Toskana, aber umso mehr wurde klar dass dieses Restaurant in Bezug auf Qualität und Auswahl sicherlich zu den besten Restaurants in Italien gehört. Daneben gibt es eine wunderbare Auswahl an umbrischen und toskanischen Weinen. Corrado und sein Team sind wirklich fantastisch!!!!!

25/04/2025: Il locale è davvero carino ed il personale estremamente cortese e disponibile. I piatti davvero buoni! Abbiamo preso come antipasto la polenta con il ragù di cinghiale, come primi cappelletti in brodo (davvero buoni e soprattutto perfetti per il freddo che c’era, almeno mi hanno piacevolmente riscaldata) e gnocchi di patate con il castrato. Per concludere in bellezza tortino caldo al cuore di cioccolato, una vera goduria! Assolutamente consigliato

30/09/2025: The restaurant was packed, but they were incredibly kind enough to find us a spot. I couldn't resist a first course with fresh porcini mushrooms and a generous grilled pigeon, cooked perfectly. Excellent service, friendly staff, and a bonus feature are the sound-absorbing ceiling panels, which make it pleasant to chat despite the busy place.

23/09/2025: I have just had the worst meal ever in Italy. The salad was tasteless and the shrimp suspect, the hamburger was an inedible slab of freezer pressed meat. This place is good for a drink but I would rather eat anywhere else.
16/09/2025: This is a job that is not for everyone... the customer when he arrives at a place wants to be welcomed, at least... they look at you with the face of someone who does not want to see anyone that evening... not a smile, not a bit of kindness... excellent calling card for a historic place like yours!!

18/06/2025: Everything was delicious!! Kind and friendly staff, easy-going, TV that allows you to have that extra background that you don't mind, really nice and cool terrace, at least in June, exquisite food! I recommend appetizers of Umbrian cold cuts with the typical torta al testo, umbricelli alla Spoletina, tortelli stuffed with ricotta and spinach and the sliced beef!!! Everything was super good, congratulations guys! 😊Bob was also very nice 😉
11/04/2025: Tevere Restaurant, Ponte San Giovanni exit, Perugia. The restaurant is rustic and dated. The service is good, with courtesy and friendliness. However, the long wait times and the robot assistant technology, combined with the slightly high bill for both the food and the restaurant, result in an insufficient rating for me.
