18/05/2026: We had a great meal at this small restaurant, especially the poached egg with broad beans, which was fantastic. Be sure to reserve in advance. But definitely recommended.

Really good pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.
The combination of traditional Tuscan and Neapolitan pizza is perfect.

17/05/2026: We spent four days in Colle di Val D'Elsa and ate at various standard/mid-range restaurants. Compared to the other restaurants, the average lower rating is surprising. The food tastes great, balsamic vinegar is served with the salad (unlike at a more upscale and better-rated restaurant), the service is friendly and attentive, and the dishes are reasonably priced. A notable difference compared to several other restaurants in Menaggio, Prato, and Colle di Val D'Elsa: here, fresh bread is served with the cuperto (a traditional Hessian dish) instead of tasteless, dry bread! The terrace offers a lovely view of old Colle di Val D'Elsa. I only have to deduct one star for the interior, as it has a hall-like atmosphere and is relatively noisy.

08/05/2026: I ordered grilled beef for lunch, but the food was cold. The cod dish was also warm on top, but the bottom was cold. They are providing service that lacks even the basics of cooking.

21/01/2026: I had made a reservation for lunch on January 18th. However, when my family and I arrived, we found it closed. Shameful and disrespectful.
20/12/2025: The all-you-can-eat formula is truly a success; you can try every dish on the menu and decide whether to continue and gorge yourself on the food or sample everything, enjoying both the delicious starters and truly special main courses. The service is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent and the service is very attentive.

26/03/2026: La Taverna di Bibbiano is one of those places that seems to have been lifted straight from a postcard in the Sienese countryside, yet it has a touch of authenticity that's often missing from overly touristy establishments. Located between Colle di Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano, with a view of the vineyards that's worth the trip alone, the Taverna's cuisine embraces a revisited take on rural tradition.
As you can see from the photos, I ordered a plate of ricotta and spinach-filled ravioli wrapped in a delicate pumpkin cream, a perfect pairing that creates an incredibly balanced contrast between sweet and savory.
For my second course, a perfectly golden and crispy chicken roulade, sliced to reveal the rich filling inside. The juicy chicken, flavorful sausage, and strips of candied orange peel, which add a touch of color and a citrusy aroma, are clearly visible. The dish is served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and garnished with crunchy pistachio crumbs, creating a truly fabulous combination for the palate.
In summary,
Location: Enchanting, with a breathtaking view of the hills and San Gimignano.
Quality: Excellent ingredients.
Atmosphere: Rustic yet refined, perfect for a romantic or family dinner.
Quality/Price Ratio: Fair, in line with the high quality offered.

staff made my birthday party wonderful!! A very well-kept venue, with a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The waiters were professional, attentive, and helpful. The food was delicious and the kitchen was punctual.
Highly recommended!
