30/04/2025: We went to Antica Locanda for dinner. Everything was very tasty. Grilled fish, caponata, sardines - everything we ordered was very fresh and homemade. The service was very friendly, yet unobtrusive.

04/05/2025: Were looking for a little refreshment with a glass of wine around lunchtime. My wife had three types of fish starters (scampi rosso raw, salmon sashimi (interpretation) and tuna tartare, with a little salad and two slices of toasted bread). I treated myself to the homemade tuna lasagne - it's freshly prepared as it tells you when you order that it takes about 20 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing the right wine. Finally there were profiteroles filled with ice cream. Our dachshund was a very welcome guest.

19/05/2025: Very positive experience! We had a great time both for the food and the location, but not least, for the service. Warm, helpful and attentive in advising us on the best according to our preferences. We ordered a raw fish appetizer and a cooked one, and then two first courses always of fish, fresh and quality. At the end, they had the foresight to offer us a dessert with a candle to celebrate the birthday. A greeting to Mr. Sacha who served us and to the colleague who welcomed us at the entrance.

13/05/2025: Great experience, compliments to the chef...we will be back. I would like to point out that I am from Catania and I am a fan of fresh fish and fresh fish and in this restaurant I ate an amazing seafood risotto...highly recommended to anyone who wants an informal place but where you can eat well. There is only a little noise because it is close to the market but it is also nice for this reason..

16/05/2025: Beautiful restaurant with local dishes and a lot of vegetarian and pescatarian options. Found it just by walking by and did surprise us for the quality of the food and variety of vegetable plates offered. The place is quiet and relaxing, and the staff is super nice. I personally tried the caponata which was one of the best ones I tried in Sicily and the Alici e Mollica, which was delicious. The vegetable plate that my companions ordered was magnificent (check the photos) with so much variety. I highly recommend trying this place.

22/05/2025: This was one of the best meals of my life. We went for the Artimide (meat) tasting menu, with full wine pairing. The dishes were so creative and tender. I never knew it was even possible for lamb to taste so delicious. The staff were incredible, knowledgeable and very welcoming. This place is worth a detour, go visit.

01/10/2024: Ristorante piccolino posizionato nella parte più esterna di Ortigia, dietro il mercato. Abbiamo prenotato tramite The Fork con uno sconto strabiliante e tutto è andato benissimo. Innanzi tutto il servizio: due ragazze di cui una, la responsabile, professionale ed attenta, l'altra molto giovane a cui si perdona un po' di ansia nel gestire il tavolo :-) Le pietanze ottime. Soprattutto il tonno, per qualità e tecnica di cottura: eccezionale. Sull'arancino un appunto: era ancora freddo all'interno. Conto perfetto CONSIGLIATISSIMO

05/05/2025: The hotel is incredibly well located. It is old and has a lot of charm. Reception is excellent. Very helpful. Recommendations for dinner were excellent. Breakfast is great. You can order a hot item from the kitchen and or enjoy the excellent buffet. There were some special treats at breakfast. Overall, all things considered, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

18/04/2025: We had a lovely meal here. It’s really interesting inside with little overlooking false windows, an open kitchen too. The clams with the spaghetti were huge!

08/05/2025: We had made a reservation in a WhatsApp conversation with the chef (brother 1). Front of house person (brother 2), had a real attitude and was a PITA. He was shooing us away and didn’t believe we had a reservation until we showed him the conversation. That sort of set the tone. We expected to be seated indoors, but were put on the street. The scent of sewer gas mixed with cigarette smoke and motorbike exhaust further seasoned our experience. The food was probably good, but the atmosphere (in all senses) was so bad that I did not enjoy it. The restaurant was recommended by friends who had a wonderful meal there. So my advice is: make a reservation in person and insist on sitting inside the restaurant. I hope your experience is better than ours.

04/05/2025: Very chaotic place near the Ortigia market. However, the service is fast and waiting times are short. Wide choice of sandwiches, platters and unique dishes. We ate an excellent fiordilatte caprese. Advised!

03/05/2025: A very warm welcome and delicious dishes. Absolutely worth discovering. Possibility of ordering on the site, having it delivered to your home and thus continuing to benefit from quality products and of course sharing them.

25/04/2025: There are 8 of us, adults and children, and we decide to visit the beautiful Ortigia... we found ourselves in front of this place by chance and, moved by the good reviews, we decided to trust it. Restaurant in a quiet street, clean including the bathrooms, very friendly and professional staff, well presented dishes with an amazing taste, we made a non-menu request for the children and it was accepted without creating problems... I recommend it for anyone who wants to spend a cheerful lunch with a good white wine... Congratulations
