24/05/2026: A somewhat hidden but welcoming restaurant. The guy at the entrance is exquisitely kind. Excellent caponata, spaghetti alla Siracusana a blast, delicate but flavorful... well done!

19/05/2026: We had a lovely evening out here at Scialai. The staff were friendly, attentive and very polite. The food was very tasty and good value, the house wine was very good too. Out of a bottle and not a box. If you like cats you're in for a treat too, if you don't want to you don't have to eat alone 🐈‍⬛️🐈

06/06/2026: A delicious dinner expertly prepared by Chef Andrea, served with great professionalism by Maître d' Francesco. The dishes were refined, unique, and fresh from the boat to the plate. The wines were excellent. The location was excellent, with a terrace overlooking the sea where you can admire the island of Capo Passero. An experience definitely worth repeating: Top!

21/11/2025: Absolutely amazing! A real authentic place in the touristy Noto. Top notch lasagna and their house wines are definitely great with any type of dish you pick from the menu. Last but not least, if you're lucky, the owners brings out his guitar and plays you some real Sicilian tunes!!! Don't miss out on this gem

27/10/2025: A quiet and simple place. Super authentic and tasty dishes made with top-quality ingredients, suitable for all palates, even vegetarians. The kitchen staff are really helpful, and the service is really friendly and "singing" 😀.

11/05/2026: We only asked to go in because we were captured in the photos with Borghese, but in reality it would have been better not to go in. The food isn't bad, nothing special, very commercial, the service disappointing. At the cashier you couldn't do separate bills. They didn't even give us €50.

12/05/2026: In a welcoming and refined atmosphere, you can enjoy dishes that are close to tradition but with a very sophisticated new perspective. The owner is very kind. A culinary experience not to be missed.

03/04/2026: The hotel was lovely. We liked the rooms; they were very well-equipped. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower. One thing that stood out about the hotel was the minibar, which was stocked with non-alcoholic drinks—a very nice touch. There was also a coffee maker for making coffee or tea. We also thought the breakfast was good. The only issue was the staff being a bit slow with the coffee, but it wasn't a big deal; it was due to the high volume of guests. The location was incredible.

18/12/2025: We were 12 in total the travel agent made the booking but when we arrived they didn’t expect us to. Likely the agents fault. Luckily it wasn’t a busy day and they were happy to accommodate us . We tried almost all of the appetizers and all the pasta dishes.The service was excellent, with prompt food delivery and clearly of used plates. We all enjoyed all the various dishes, well made with fresh ingredients and local foods.

14/12/2025: Delicious seafood dishes and wines. Very unique and Sicilian with yummy sweet and sour sauces that I had not tasted anywhere previously. Great service. A wonderful experience all around.

25/04/2026: Disappointing service and confusing pricing policy. We went here for dinner and, while the food itself was enjoyable, the experience was badly affected by how our order was handled. We ordered the fritto misto. When it arrived, we noticed that our plate did not come with a salad, even though the same dish at the table next to us did. We asked the waiter why ours was different, and he explained that we had received the starter version, while the other table had the main-course version, which included the salad. At that point, he said we could order a salad separately, but we declined. The problem came when we received the bill. We were charged the same price as the main-course version of the fritto misto, not a cheaper starter price. When we asked about this, the waiter then said that the starter and main course cost the same, and that the salad was simply a “gift” from the restaurant. This made no sense to us. If the salad was a gift, why was it given to the table next to us but not to us? And if we had paid the same price for the same dish, why were we served less? The portion of seafood did not seem larger to compensate for the missing salad. It felt like we paid the same amount but received a worse version of the dish. The explanation kept changing, from “you ordered the starter” to “both versions cost the same” to “the salad is a gift” to “this is restaurant policy”. Whatever the policy is, it is confusing, unfair, and makes customers feel poorly treated. Good food is not enough when the service and pricing logic leave such a bad impression. We felt like we received second-class treatment for no clear reason. We will not be coming back, and I would not recommend this restaurant unless they change this practice.

08/04/2026: Excellent food, quiet atmosphere, perhaps not very suitable for small children, but still very welcome. It remains my favorite in Ortigia.

07/04/2026: The overall experience ranged from mediocre to disappointing. The food was "acceptable," but far from what one would expect seeing the place decorated with Michelin Guide stickers from 2011 to 2023. More than a guarantee, they resemble a museum of past glories. As of today, it feels more like a tourist trap than a restaurant that lives up to that history. The atmosphere upon arrival was, to say the least, peculiar. Part of the team was sitting at a table with what appeared to be acquaintances, then they served with an almost admirably… frenetic energy. Before the standard response of "we have many 5-star reviews" or "if you didn't like it, you should have left it on your plate," let me preempt you: a bad experience isn't invalidated by statistics, and paying for service doesn't obligate you to stage a scene to validate your opinion. The saying "one flower doesn't make a summer" is true, but when the garden has been neglected for a long time, we're no longer talking about a single flower. In our case, the disappointment was enough to leave our plates half-eaten, our wine practically untouched, and skip dessert altogether. It wasn't an isolated incident, but rather a series of signs that suggest the current level of service doesn't live up to the image they try to project. Summary - Edible and decent food, nothing special - The waitresses were lovely. The rest of the staff was peculiar.

10/05/2026: A place, an establishment steeped in incredible family history. Attentive, kind, and smiling staff. Excellent cuisine. In short, if you're in Noto, go for it!
