01/10/2024: Ristorante piccolino posizionato nella parte più esterna di Ortigia, dietro il mercato. Abbiamo prenotato tramite The Fork con uno sconto strabiliante e tutto è andato benissimo. Innanzi tutto il servizio: due ragazze di cui una, la responsabile, professionale ed attenta, l'altra molto giovane a cui si perdona un po' di ansia nel gestire il tavolo :-) Le pietanze ottime. Soprattutto il tonno, per qualità e tecnica di cottura: eccezionale. Sull'arancino un appunto: era ancora freddo all'interno. Conto perfetto CONSIGLIATISSIMO

03/06/2025: To start this review, I must comment on the dishonest business practices of this hotel after a very poor stay, the worst we have ever encountered in Italy. We left the hotel after one night of a three night booking. The room was significantly below the standard for a 4 star hotel. After leaving the hotel, the hotel called me and offered a refund of "50% of the third night" of our stay and sent the attached legal release of claims. If you read the document, you will see that they offered 300 Euro for a gag order so that I could not post a review on Trip Advisor or any other site. They had this legal document ready to go and clearly use this strategy to "buy off" guests with bad experiences to make their reviews look better online. There was never any contrition from the hotel for our bad experience and in my many years of travelling I have never encountered this lack of integrity and total disregard for whether we actually enjoyed our stay. I would prefer that other travellers are able to avoid this hotel and its manager. We paid 1400 euro for a three night stay in May for a Double with Seaview including parking. It was a very hot stay and the air conditioning did not work properly in the room. The vents were incredibly dusty and the filter clearly had not been cleaned in some time. We requested a fan from the desk three times and were refused. Overall the room was dirty and dingy and stuffy with poor air quality. The mattress was incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep our one night there. The linens felt like plastic. The room was much smaller than the photos online and it was difficult for two people to move around. Many of the fixtures in the room and bathroom were cracked, chipped, and very worn. In sum, the room was very worn, dated, and needs refurbishment. The hotel also full charged my stay 3 weeks ahead of time despite their policy only being 7 days prior to arrival, a further dishonest business practice, coupled with a no cancellation policy (which can be waived by a hotel but which they chose to enforce). We returned to our prior hotel in Noto where we had excellent service and were able to salvage the remainder of our trip. Stay clear of any hotel asking you for a GAG ORDER and having such little respect for their guests. With so many options in the area, you should skip this hotel.

05/05/2025: The hotel is incredibly well located. It is old and has a lot of charm. Reception is excellent. Very helpful. Recommendations for dinner were excellent. Breakfast is great. You can order a hot item from the kitchen and or enjoy the excellent buffet. There were some special treats at breakfast. Overall, all things considered, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

05/06/2025: A place overlooking the port of Marzamemi, with a magical view and excellent quality. We were welcomed by a very kind girl, who (as requested by phone) reserved a place for us near the sea. Very young waiters, perhaps inexperienced, with the exception of the boy with a Roman accent and South American features who knows perfectly how to win over customers, but always super helpful and welcoming, ready to help with a smile. Octopus appetizer, pasta alla norma and fried food of a truly high level!

05/06/2025: Spectacular service from the entire team. The food was delicious; you can tell the produce is fresh. We had octopus as a starter, pasta a la norma, and fried rice. Everything was delicious! We'll be back.

15/05/2025: A well deserved 5 stars. Food and service was good, and the owner (?) provided music with his guitar for our baby and toddler which was great. It rained when we left, so he provided us with ponchos for protection

30/05/2025: Cocktails cost €10, while seaside restaurants cost no more than €8. We had the potato croquettes and two salads. The croquettes were okay, bland but okay. The salads include canned tuna, canned corn, and industrial mozzarella; the salad includes unpitted oranges and olives with roughly chopped fennel. You can also enjoy phone calls from employees and videos watched by the chefs if you eat in the dining room. Much too expensive for the quality of the food and the atmosphere.

06/06/2025: We strongly advise against it. Mixed fried food for €15 that was nothing mixed (squid rings and defrosted prawns with very little taste), grilled swordfish with the swordfish that was just one, very thin and dry, and the same two prawns, always for €15. The children had pasta, the little one had 4 paccheri counted on a plate, not enough even for him... A ridiculous imitation of "nouvelle cuisine", my daughter's bolognese was disgusting just to look at, poor... the sauce seemed to be made with ketchup and the spaghetti was a single block... Are you even capable of cooking two spaghetti?! We were the first to sit at the table and the bathrooms were already dirty, we should have already understood from there how things would go. The only memorable thing was the name of the beer that made me laugh (see photo) and the painting (the restaurant is ideally located, in front of the church of San Salvatore)... But otherwise pitiful, I don't understand people who give 5 stars to a restaurant like that. Moreover recommended by a local, who visibly has no taste (or is a friend of the restaurateur). A tourist trap and that's it. February 2025 - I now see the manager's comment (from 2024). Our visit dates back to 2019. If you no longer have the beer in the photo and you no longer make the bolognese (they were spaghetti with tomato sauce, I'm not sure if there was meat because they were so unwatchable) I can't know. I don't know if you have changed management, if you now clean the bathrooms or if the food is better. But six years ago we ate in your restaurant, the comments made refer to that period. I'm sorry but I stand by it. Other Internet users will be able to check if things have changed and, if so, they will leave a praiseworthy review.

06/06/2025: Short stay in Noto, looking for a place to eat, a local gentleman recommended "Il buco" a restaurant with tables outside, I ate a very good caponata and a chickpea soup just as good, (not even a peel!) an excellent appetizer with their fried food, panelle with bruschetta, fried cheese, tagliatelle with pistachio and almond pesto, all very good, the background music was amazing!!!!

05/06/2025: Lo digo... ¡la mejor experiencia de restaurante en Noto! Difícil conseguir una reserva, pero lo conseguimos. Los vinos son excelentes El servicio al cliente es perfecto El menú es versátil y no más asequible de lo que se podría pensar. Ambiente es precioso (nos sentamos dentro) Teníamos - Ensalada de naranja, oliva, hinojo - Fava y sopa de garbanzos con ricota y pan rallado Ricotta frita - raviolis y salchicha de cerdo -albóndigas También trajeron un aperitivo que prepararon. Todo era sabroso, complejo, bien dividido... sin notas. Mi favorita fue la Sopa de Fava y Garbanzos. Ojalá viniera aquí dos noches seguidas en lugar de ir a NACHE (que odiaba) porque había muchas cosas que quería pedir. Recomiendo encarecidamente. Tengo dos noches más de mis vacaciones, pero creo que esta puede ser mi experiencia culinaria favorita en toda Sicilia.

12/05/2025: Andrea in Palazzolo Acreide offers an outstanding dining experience. The setting is refined yet welcoming, and the cuisine reflects both skill and passion. Their selection of slow food salsiccia and cheese is exceptional — rich in flavor and clearly chosen with care. The tartar, in particular, was a standout: delicate, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every course showed a deep respect for ingredients and tradition. Service was attentive and warm throughout. A place where quality truly speaks for itself — highly recommended.

03/05/2025: Se non lo conosci difficilmente ci capiti, se lo conosci… non ci torni. All’ingresso sembra semplicemente un bar, solo chiedendo scopri che fanno anche ristorazione e ti fanno accomodare in una stanzetta abbastanza modesta, spartana e deprimente specie se, come nel mio caso, ci capiti fuori orario e quando non c’è nessuno. Opto per un primo piatto (penne olive e acciughe) né abbondante né particolarmente gustoso. Con una bottiglietta d’acqua e il coperto spendo sui 13 euro. Nonostante la buona volontà e gentilezza del personale (credo tutti componenti della famiglia proprietaria) non resto soddisfatto. Valido probabilmente per i pranzi di lavoro della gente del posto, sconsigliato se siete in zona per turismo o in vacanza. C’è di meglio. Molto meglio.

07/05/2025: Libertyno is a small restaurant in the center of Noto, very easy to reach but secluded enough to not be the usual tourist-catching place that historic cities are full of. We ate both meat and fish tapas which were very good and looked after. The menu is varied and not obvious, not to mention the list of beers which offers a choice for every taste. Special mention for the truly delicious chocolate cake! Very courteous and helpful waiters and impeccable bathrooms Compliments!
