Magical, warm and welcoming place. Mediterranean cuisine with hints at local tradition. Excellent wine list with honest prices.

A delusion. I wanted to bring a woman from another region to eat in the Modena style. The tortellini tasted great, the broth tasted like water. The owner is grumpy bordering on rudeness and to top it off, we paid dearly.

I went on a Monday evening with a colleague of mine. Being my first time coming to Modena, I went by chance. The place is small and basic, but clean and comfortable, we ordered 2 cuts with side dishes, 1 bottle of Lambrusco and two coffees, all delicious. Price 75 euros. It seemed a bit excessive to me, but given the quality of the food, it's okay. Welcome chapter: I am not someone who demands respect, on the contrary, I really hate fake smiles and excessive superficial courtesy. But it almost seemed like we were being annoying. There is an ironic video circulating online about Ligurian hospitality, (whether real or presumed) go and see it if you want to have a laugh, and you will understand what I mean, without me going into further detail. We may have had the wrong evening, we are human and we don't always want to be cheerful. This also applies to restaurateurs, however....

We were in Modena for a day, from the outside we see this "anonymous" Osteria, undecided whether to enter. We entered and made the best choice of the day spent in Modena. Very welcoming place both for the style and for the owners, I have read previous reviews which are absolutely not realistic. They also advise you on when to eat the dishes as soon as they bring them to the table. Everything EXCELLENT, from their appetizer (which includes a parmigiana with a sublime flavor to their first courses made with love and passion, and their second courses so soft, soft and tasty that they can only be enjoyed in some restaurants, I won't tell you about the desserts, I'll just let you imagine ). Recentemente ho cenato dalla Ruggera e sono rimasto davvero colpito sia dalla cucina squisita che dal servizio impeccabile. Il menu presentava una varietà di piatti, sapori siculi genuini fondendo sapori audaci e una bella presentazione. Il personale attento e competente ha assicurato che il nostro pasto fosse memorabile, fornendo ottimi consigli e garantendo la nostra soddisfazione. Non posso fare altro Che raccomandare la Ruggera per un'esperienza culinaria fantastica come essere a casa .

È stato uno spettacolo sotto tutti i punti di vista un incrocio di sapori e odori bellissimi location molto accogliente non ho nient’altro da aggiungere perché sono molto felice di essere stato in questo ristorante ❤️

Sempre una garanzia! Conosciamo La Ruggera da anni e resta un ristorante di riferimento a Modena, per la qualità del cibo, il servizio e l’atmosfera, è come sentirsi a casa. Lo raccomando assolutamente se volete provare dei sapori diversi e qualcosa di diverso da gnocco e tigelle, per una cena tra amici o per fare bella figura anche per un pranzo o una cena di lavoro. Sicuro non deluderà ;)

Locale caratteristico, intimo, nel bellissimo centro di Modena, cibo buono e particolare, un misto di gusti tipici, e siciliani che si abbinano con piacere. Ottima cantina di vini. La titolare, Anna, persona deliziosa e disponibile. Ci tornooooooo, e vorrei andarci più spesso.

La Ruggera per me è una certezza. Ecco perché quando ho fame e voglia di premiarmi con del buon cibo vengo qui. Preso le orecchiette alle cime di rapa e sono andata sul sicuro: s q u i s i t e. Poi assaggiati i tortelloni di ricotta al profumo di arancia: una delizia che ti si scioglie in bocca. Immancabile la cotoletta della ruggera ad orecchio di elefante rinfrescata con i suoi pomodorini, rucola e cipolla di tropea a crudo. Il tutto accompagnato dal sorriso di Anna, la proprietaria. E anche questa volta me ne vado soddisfatta. Che dire? Più che consigliato.
