11/05/2025: Typical Sardinian cuisine restaurant, run by Luca, excellent quality. He puts passion and dedication into it, explaining each dish. A restaurant that is difficult to find in Rome. I recommend it a lot. Excellent orighitas with tuna, aperitif offered on the house. Millefeuille dessert with unique chocolate dough. We will be back!

24/04/2025: this is place is over rated in my opinion. the food was good but not wow for those prices. lets be honestly.. for 3 small shrimps and some fish 28 eur is to much. also next pohoto is 'pane' or bread.. which looks like some leftovers and also costs 4 eur. 2 plates of food took around 1 hour and a half so get prepared.

28/04/2025: Where the flavors of Tuscia and Sardinia meet Warm and welcoming environment Particular, original, delicious cuisine born from the fusion of the Viterbo and Sardinian traditions. Great attention to the choice of raw materials which give great emphasis to each dish served. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes are available. Many dishes created by the chef, homemade pasta with the use of Senatore Cappelli wheat is truly exquisite. A few kilometers from the capital, a truly unmissable place. It is advisable to book them on weekends, they don't work double shifts and this is a sign of good service. Professionalism, courtesy, good food and a warm atmosphere. ...what else?

22/04/2025: Pranzo di Pasquetta nella caratteristica Osteria al centro di Nepi. Ordine, pulizia, accoglienza e cibo 10 e lode. 3 donne in cucina, una garanzia. Tutti i piatti espressi e buonissimi, non avevo mai provato piatti sardi e non me ne sono affatto pentita. Se passate per Nepi non potete non andare.

30/05/2025: Maestrale is a great discovery for those who love fish: very fresh and cooked with great care. Each dish is well presented and full of flavor. The place is elegant, the service is courteous and professional. However, the quality-price ratio is not among the best: you expect something more, both in the portions and in the details. Overall, a positive experience but with room for improvement.

26/05/2025: Sono stato nuovamente - dopo circa sei mesi - a cena in questo locale e mi sono trovato, come sempre, molto bene. Locale accogliente ed elegante con anche gradevole spazio esterno (rumoroso) su Piazza Callisto; possibilità di prenotare una sala riservata (massimo 12/15 persone) con costo extra. Molto bello ed elegante l’arredamento ed il tovagliame, belli i piatti, più che dignitosi bicchieri e le posate. Menù semplicemente fantastico: il pesce la fa da padrone ma è possibile avere anche qualche piatto di carne/terra. Porzioni abbondanti ed impiattamento di alta qualità. Grande scelta di ostriche; da non perdere i ravioli con impasto al nero di seppia. Personale: professionale, attento, gentile, mai invadente. Lista dei vini adeguata al livello del menù. Prezzo non economico ma sostanzialmente in linea con l’altissima qualità. Ho difficoltà a trovare un difetto. Straconsigliato, anzi…da non perdere!

15/03/2025: Proprio vero il ristorante è una vera bomboniera. Piccolo e accogliente. Un posto magico, dove, riscaldati da un bel camino acceso, abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Frittini originali e buonissimi. Primi piatti dal sapore deciso, davvero appetitosi. Dolci sardi accompagnati da mirto bianco. Tutto accompagnato da tanta tanta gentilezza e simpatia! Grazie. Torneremo!

12/05/2025: Restaurant from times gone by, exceptional raw materials starting from Olbia mussels. Simple and genuine cuisine served by friendly and smiling staff, dishes that melt in your mouth. A very pleasant discovery. The banana liqueur is a worthy end to the meal, recommended.

27/04/2025: I went by intuition and I must say that I guessed right great. I finally ate an excellent little pig and the rind crackled beautifully. The excellent mussels come directly from Sardinia. A great Sardinian wine (Vermentino) that I couldn't finish due to driving restrictions. Fair prices for the quality offered

12/05/2025: Il Giardino was our favorite place to eat on our recent time in Rome. Its location is ideal. Just a 5 minute walk from Piazza Barberini and very close to Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Unique menu featuring several seafood choices and my favorite pasta from a menu of several choices. Lots of really good wines at remarkably good prices. And great Dolces to finish off the meal. Friendly professional servers. This place has it all. We cancelled the next night’s reservation somewhere else and came back to Il Giardino the next evening.

12/05/2025: It’s a place close to Fontana de Trevi, with wonderful and authentic Italian food. We had the greatest lasagna of our lives in there. Enzo gifted us with a wonderful service as well, we felt like home.

29/04/2025: I entered the venue more out of a biological necessity than an aesthetic intuition or the advice of someone I really trust. I had read reviews - some enthusiastic, others affected by that form of inverse snobbery that today mistakes mediocrity for authenticity - but none, really none, had prepared me for the experience that was about to happen. The space: warm but not suffocating, intimate without ever feeling claustrophobic. The lighting is calibrated to enhance the dishes, but not so low that you have to pretend you don't need glasses. Every furnishing detail suggests attention, never ostentation. The personal, human — that is, capable of smiling without seeming programmed to do so. And then the food, which deserves a separate review, perhaps in the form of a short story, or a philosophical essay disguised as a tasting menu.
The cuttlefish cappuccino is an explosion of sensorial density: creamy with a base note that seems to whisper to you "I know, it's strange - but trust me".
Fried tripe with Roman sauce and pecorino: both delicate and brutal, with a crunch that - if it were a sound - would oscillate between a straight speaker and the crackle of vinyl.
The roasted octopus on hummus and 'nduja is pure instinct: an expression of gastronomic fun, precise and casual.
Seared tuna — oh, tuna — executed with the surgical precision of a Japanese hand, but with a profoundly Mediterranean soul. The wine? A bottle chosen with that quiet wisdom that doesn't need to impress, but still manages to make you feel included in a small, silent privilege. In the end, as I left, I had the clear sensation that Rome - this living, contradictory, excessive, wonderful Rome - still knows how to speak in silence through places like this.
Places that don't scream at you to be discovered, but that only let you find them if you're lucky enough (or lost enough). And when you find them, they stay with you like the good scent of a long and unforgettable evening.

01/06/2025: a Sunday at the end of April with my partner. I have been there several times for lunch or dinner. never fully satisfied. and not for the excellent service but for the food. the last time after ordering and eating here (rice with cream of overcooked scampi and with half a scampi only the shell on top) I asked for the bill which the waiter brought me BY ORDER without a receipt or anything else. 100 euros. I left a 5 euro tip and left. two days later I returned because the numbers didn't add up. in fact with the owner bruno we redid the numbers and I saw that I had spent 85 euros!! question: who benefits from this? the dishonest waiter or the owner who inflates the numbers? mystery! in response to my complaints only vague justifications. the 15 euros were not returned to me!!! I leave you a negative review for your dishonesty. Is it their practice not to issue tax receipts? I will also make another type of tax report. the food is not great, served in a hurry and overcooked most of the time. adios.
