06/10/2025: The restaurant is simply decorated and the staff is very helpful. I like traditional cuisine from the south of Italy and we had the following; Crostino with Scante ricotta, sautéed tomato and cacioricotta Crostino with burrata Cantabrian anchovies and lemon zest Eggplant parmigiana Homemade tagliatelle with pesto, crispy capocollo and cherry tomatoes Homemade ricciatelle with 14 fresh tomatoes, pecorino and basil and drank excellent homemade red wine Li Veli Susumaniello everything was very good, a real gastronomic delight.. 26/09/2025: Calling it a restaurant is an understatement: it's simply beautiful and unexpected. You'd never expect the beauty and attention to detail I found on Tuesday evening in this sprawling establishment. The same attention to detail is evident in the food and service, which are excellent, excellent, excellent, if not excellent. It's a given that I'll be returning even though I'm 1,100 km away. Thank you and sincere compliments.

25/09/2025: After a year, I returned to this charming, historic restaurant, composed of many small rooms, but I was disappointed. The traditional Salento cuisine, once of a notable standard, has unfortunately declined in both quality and presentation. All the appetizers were mediocre, the first courses, including the maritati, were decent, and the guaccetto was exceptional. The desserts were good, and the recommended wine was mediocre. The service was friendly but confused and unprofessional. The price was high for the quality of the food.

08/10/2025: Federico welcomes you not as a guest, but as a friend. The cuisine is exquisite, the wine selection exceptionally select, and the ambiance is truly stylish. Nothing for the mainstream.

04/10/2025: Dining at Osteria del Vico was a highlight of our trip. It is a lovely family run place with a relaxed and genuine atmosphere. Amalia and Federico looked after us beautifully and Vincenzo provided thoughtful and friendly service throughout the evening. The food was delicious and authentic, and their suggestions for wine pairings were perfect. It is rare to find a restaurant where both the cuisine and the people are so memorable. A visit here feels less like eating out and more like being welcomed into someone’s home.

21/08/2025: Beautiful place, very intimate and well-kept. The food was delicious, the orecchiette with white lamb ragù was truly delicious. We spent about €43 per person with an appetizer, first course, and wine. Highly recommended!

07/10/2025: This place is all about true Pugliese food, and it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s better to reserve ahead — otherwise, be ready for a long wait in line. Once seated, we found the staff super friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food very homey and authentic. We started with orecchiette al pomodoro (simple yet amazing) and ciceri e tria (a classic dish, though not really to my taste). For the secondi, I was surprised by how delicious the turcinieddhri (sheep offal rolls) were — definitely recommended if you enjoy lamb or sheep. The real highlight for me, though, was the polpette di cavallo al sugo — absolutely delicious! For dessert, don’t even think of skipping it. The toasted dried figs stuffed with almonds and the spumone fichi e mandorle were simply incredible, the perfect way to end the meal. A great place to discover authentic, local Pugliese cuisine with genuine hospitality.

06/10/2025: I generally don’t give reviews for restaurants unless they are really good or really bad. The “street food” part of this restaurant is terrible.

26/08/2025: As the years pass, Osteria della Divina Provvidenza remains a trusted favorite. In the jungle of Lecce's restaurants, some of which are overly formal but lacking in substance, this restaurant remains the pinnacle of food, ensuring quality and satisfying a wide range of tastes with an interesting variety of dishes. The service is always attentive, professional, pleasant, and discreet. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, thanks to its multiple dining rooms. I highly recommend it.

24/08/2025: Our meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The brusque, nervous staff didn't inspire any positivity. It felt like management was improvised. I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend it. Special mention goes to the foreign waiter, I think Indian, who stood out from the rest of the staff.

15/10/2025: The trattoria is traditional, small, and very welcoming, spread across two levels. The atmosphere is pleasant, although it seems the place is perhaps geared more toward foreigners. The dishes are carefully prepared and tasty, honest, but (perhaps with the exception of a few dishes) they don't impress with an explosion of flavors, despite maintaining a solid, traditional approach to cuisine. The cover charge (€1.00) is fair and in line with the type of service offered. The Antipasto della Casa (which was presented to us as a portion for two) was a bit disappointing: we didn't find a good balance between the price and the variety/quantity of the dishes. This could be an unfortunate exception due to the evening or our table, but it's an aspect that needs reconsidering.

14/10/2025: Our favourite trattoria in Lecce! Would highly recommend reserving a table because you would be extremely disappointed to miss out eating here! Always remember to ask what Nonna's fantasy is, we got extremely lucky and had a lobster pasta which was delicious.
