But everything was excellent, and the prices were fair.
24/07/2026: The restaurant is located in Trecchina, a small village a 15-minute drive from Maratea. It's higher up, and in the summer, it's pleasantly breezy. The restaurant has an elegant dining room where you can enjoy pizza, pasta dishes, and main courses. Among the dishes, the pizza with cod and crusco peppers is truly unique. The fettuccine with mushrooms and chestnuts, and the tonnarelli pasta are also worth trying. Service is fairly quick, but prices are a bit high for the setting!

15/08/2026: I was very disappointed! There were 4 of us, the bill was high at 213.50, the food was nothing special... Knowing that the food in these places is good, not this time. Uncomfortable tables on the slope, back pain at the end of the evening! The staff was quick to ask for our order, saying that our table was already booked... For the second sitting! We booked it in advance anyway, we didn't arrive so randomly! In the end they ruined the atmosphere of the evening's appetite, especially with the food prepared by them!
15/08/2026: On the recommendation of friends, we went to this restaurant and had such a great time that we returned! Gianpaolo is the perfect host; you can immediately sense the passion he puts into his work, his typical Lucanian dishes, some expertly reinterpreted, and his selection of wines. Everything was delicious; I highly recommend this unique restaurant, especially for its location.

04/08/2026: Everything was delicious! We were looking for a place to have dinner and stumbled upon this trattoria by chance. The view from the terrace is beautiful, right in front of the Sassi, and the interior is also very characteristic. The food was truly delicious; we started with peperoni cruschi, followed by orecchiette alla materana, and sausage with tomato sauce. Everything was delicious, even the house wine, served chilled.
14/06/2026: Lovely restaurant with a beautiful view of the valley and Sassi. Booked here for 25 people on the panoramic terrace on top ahead of my wedding as a welcome and it couldn’t have been better - very responsive host before the booking, helping organise a local food platter to start and then menu ordering after that. The view was beautiful and everyone had a great time. Would recommend!

A very charming location, especially on the terrace.
A traditional menu of the highest quality
With generous portions and excellent value for money
A special mention for the pizza, whose dough impressed me with its flavor and the smell of "freshly baked bread" it exudes.
Family-run, very attentive to their customers, all very friendly.
We'll definitely be back.

17/05/2026: I can't comment on the food, but I have practically zero tact regarding the hospitality and the ability to resolve a problem. A customer who travels 100 km to see you shouldn't be turned away just because he asks for an hour's early lunch. Or rather, there are ways and means. You could have tried to find a solution. You're obviously quite full. Enjoy your life.
03/05/2026: Located in a stunning location, that's all that's good, though.
The staff is haughty and not at all courteous; the girls are improvised (definitely not trained) because they have no idea what it means to serve a customer.
They don't allow dogs (in 2026, I think everyone knows that dogs are considered family members and more polite than certain humans).
Food: Again, nothing special; in fact, you can eat better at some local trattorias.
We ate meager portions of both first and second courses.
But the highlight was the pasta on a cream (broth) of legumes and the artichoke literally boiled with a quenelle of ricotta, which, I mean, isn't haute cuisine.
The meat was incredibly tough; the other first course called for hazelnuts, but only molecules of the latter were found.
Strascinati: ugh... here, an annoying cream cheese, who knows who combined it with the other ingredients?
Bread is only available upon request.
They know how to set the prices right.

08/06/2026: A wonderful Sunday beach experience.
After relaxing under a beautiful gazebo, we were drawn by the smell of fresh fish and the crowds filling the newly opened restaurant, so we decided to dine in for the first time.
The restaurant was packed, with professional, friendly, and welcoming staff.
An excellent à la carte menu with daily fresh fish specials, accompanied by excellent wines from a southern Italian winery.
Despite the crowds, we ate in a reasonable amount of time, but those few minutes of waiting were quickly forgotten after enjoying a selection of fresh appetizers (mussels with pepper, baby octopus, seafood salad), excellent first courses (pasta with swordfish and eggplant, fresh gurnard, and shrimp risotto), accompanied by sublime mixed fried fish, a grilled fish, and a delicious baked snapper.
The only flaw is that we didn't take photos of the dishes, but we'll definitely be back soon.
Recommended and a must-try!!

02/06/2026: We arrived on June 2nd, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM. Everyone was taking a break after a busy national holiday. Upon request, we were treated to a wonderful meal and allowed to drive home satisfied (all other options were closed).

22/02/2026: I was inspired by the reviews and photos I found on TheFork. I don't know, it was all a mixed bag: the appetizer for two was nothing to write home about. I'm from Basilicata, and yes, they were perhaps typical, but not overly so. The first courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. We had the black pork ragù and cacio e crusco. So, let's say the overall rating is satisfactory. The place is small but cute and quaint. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, it deserves 3 stars. Prices are average.
05/01/2026: After booking with The Fork with a 30% discount, the alleged owner didn't charge us with the app but instead added an extra charge to the bill instead of offering the discount.

06/08/2025: Posto fantastico, cucina alla vecchia maniera, abbiamo preso: fusilli fatti in casa, alicine fritte, orata e zucchine sotto olio. Prenotazione presa alle 21.30 quindi anche abbastanza tardi.

09/08/2025: Very negative experience for me, we are numbers for them but not refugees. Everything you see in the photos did not match the reservation, the lady did not show up on arrival but only by telephone, attic, so low that I banged my head continuously, small window, very narrow bathroom without window and without ventilator and what's more it was not specified to me that breakfast would be outside at the bar far away saying, only a cappuccino and croissant, I had to make the coffee myself, truly mean, I do not recommend it to anyone.
02/08/2025: I stay here every year for the holidays and it's always a pleasure to return. The B&B is equipped with every comfort and is strategically located right in Maratea's main square. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very welcoming. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs is also highly recommended (excellent pizza).

15/07/2025: Personnel très sympathique. La vue est sublime et le cadre est très agréable. L’huile d’olive est excellente et avec le pain c’est très doux. Aucune faute, tout est parfait ! Ils ont tous les codes de la restauration. Nous vous recommandons spécialement la viande, qui à notre avis est une grande spécialité de cet endroit. Elle est tendre et très goûteuse. On a adoré ! Les pâtes ont un côté plus recherché et innovant. La carte des vins est surprenante, n’hésitez pas à en prendre. Bref, un très bon moment passé en famille. Nous reviendrons sans problème.

06/08/2025: Grazie ad Antonio, Annarita e Maria per averci fatto sentire a casa, siete delle persone speciali! Agriturismo situato in mezzo alla natura dove si possono gustare piatti buonissimi con materie prime prodotte in loco! Camera spaziosa, pulitissima e molto luminosa. Consigliamo a tutti di vivere questa esperienza, noi ci torneremo sicuramente.
21/07/2025: Siamo stati in visita un paio di giorni a Pietrapertosa/Castelmezzano e non potevamo avere di meglio!!
L'agriturismo é localizzato in una bellissima valle ai piedi delle dolomiti lucane dove si può ammirare uno stupendo paesaggio agricolo. I piatti della cucina sono quelli autentici della tradizione, utilizzando i prodotti a km 0 che il signor Antonio ne crea con cura.
Questa azienda agrituristica é adatta a tutti: coppie, famiglie, gruppi, singoli, camperisti. Mette a disposizione qualsiasi servizio a ogni tipo di cliente.
Un plauso va a Antonio e Giuseppe e alla loro famiglia che hanno fatto di tutto per metterci a nostro agio. Grazie di tutto!!!
