07/12/2025: A completely negative experience. The restaurant is nice, but the rest is beyond praise. The food is based on onions, and the flavors are zero. The meatballs are practically tasteless. The tomatoes weren't cooked at all. The staff were friendly. Everything else was negative. Never again. And I think the people who leave positive reviews don't know what the food means. You have to know how to handle the poverty of the place.

14/09/2025: The staff's courtesy and kindness were exceptional, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was a bit problematic: the first course arrived quite late and, even more strangely, it was served with the second course. As for the food, the quality was generally average, without any particular highlights. The mushroom cavatelli, in particular, didn't thrill me; it wasn't anything special. The only positive note was the orecchiette with ragù, which was good. The average price, €15 per person, makes up for any disappointments.

06/10/2025: We had a great dinner there with a friend who lives in Rotondella. She said it was the best and we totally agree. It is a family run restaurant and they were ready to give us some of the local delicacies. We had the antipasto platter, then specialty pie called L’Patizz, one stuffed with pork the other potato and green peppers. Then dried and then quickly fried red peppers, called peperoni cruschi - very tasty and crunchy. We also tried the local pasta Frizzole co middiche. The pasta is hand rolled and curled with an iron rod. The chef came out to talk to us and it was a very friendly place. A very enjoyable evening.

31/08/2025: We ate on a panoramic terrace with a spectacular view. Excellent sausage, eggplant, salad, and ricotta tart. We returned two days later. Same table, same view. Falagoni calzone with potatoes and onions as an appetizer. Frizzuli as a first course: handmade pasta with a mixed meat tomato sauce and breadcrumbs. Ricotta and chocolate tart. Everything was excellent, and the lady serving the tables was very friendly.

09/09/2025: I'd never been there. It happens that one Sunday I'm alone, I pass by to get a cigarette and I say to myself, "Why not try this restaurant?" I wish I'd never done it. I order the typical Lucanian dish, "strascinati con pepi cruscki," and I find them on my plate, I fork them and they break apart, so I know how to make strascinati too! The meat? Do we want to talk about it? You couldn't even cut it with a knife! The worst thing is that you can't comment because they get angry... and then... my experience was terrible.

01/11/2025: A restaurant in the heart of the Murgia Materana, excellent food and good prices, saving you a few euros compared to others on the same street. The restroom is clean despite the busy streets. You can eat inside or outside on the panoramic terrace. They don't accept lunch after 2:30 PM; I recommend arriving at 12:30 PM. After 1:00 PM, the number of people arriving is at a peak, although they do arrive fairly quickly.

31/10/2025: An absolute disgrace. The only reason I ended up here was because everything else was closed for siesta — and what a punishment that turned out to be. I honestly have no idea how this dump has a high rating. Every dish was an insult to the ingredients it was made from. It takes real “talent” to ruin food this badly. Whoever is in that kitchen shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a stove — they clearly have zero respect for taste, or for the people they’re serving. The salad was borderline edible (and still too acidic), but the rest was a complete disaster. If this is considered acceptable cooking in Italy, then the country’s entire culinary reputation is in serious trouble. This place is a tourist trap of the worst kind — disgusting, overpriced, and shameless. I left furious and offended that this kind of garbage is being sold as food.
