16/07/2025: The food was good, but the service was downright apathetic. Strange, and this in a place where the people are very friendly and welcoming.

09/08/2025: Very negative experience for me, we are numbers for them but not refugees. Everything you see in the photos did not match the reservation, the lady did not show up on arrival but only by telephone, attic, so low that I banged my head continuously, small window, very narrow bathroom without window and without ventilator and what's more it was not specified to me that breakfast would be outside at the bar far away saying, only a cappuccino and croissant, I had to make the coffee myself, truly mean, I do not recommend it to anyone.

02/08/2025: I stay here every year for the holidays and it's always a pleasure to return. The B&B is equipped with every comfort and is strategically located right in Maratea's main square. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very welcoming. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs is also highly recommended (excellent pizza).

31/07/2025: Mediocre place Cost-effective and poorly prepared food They made us sit in front of the half-open kitchen door (probably broken) so we were surrounded by dishes and a coming and going of people 3€ wine charged 20€ Very kind waiter At least the place was well air-conditioned

30/07/2025: Everything went badly. Terrible service, extremely poor quality food, and ridiculous prices despite the 50% discount. A soulless place, and all the dishes don't match the ingredients listed on the menu. Cream is added to all the first courses to make them creamier, but it's never mentioned in the ingredients listed on the menu. EVERYTHING IS IN BAD TASTE. The "owner" is completely indifferent to complaints, with only one response: "UNFORTUNATELY THAT'S THE WAY IT IS." It's absurd that these things happen. His intent is to pass off tasteless dishes made with substandard ingredients as typical Matera cuisine. An insult to this beautiful city. It would be better to examine their conscience instead of scamming customers. Everything is in disgustingly bad taste, and prices are inflated for customers who book with The Fork. Highly not recommended. Better to close. A terrible experience from every perspective. They say to err is human, and to persevere is diabolical. In this case, the error was deliberate because nothing could be saved. 100% not recommended. Perhaps you've confused me with someone else. I'm not a baker, so I have nothing to recommend. I'm just a customer who was mistreated and served pitiful, inedible food. I should also add that I booked through The Fork, but to prevent me from posting a negative review, the owner canceled my reservation and gave me a paper receipt that expired in 2020 and is worthless. So, he was also dishonest. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
