03/10/2023: Forse, purtroppo, chiude. Questo ristorante, con magbifica terrazza, carta dei vini di qualità, menù molto valido con sempre qualche piccola novità, personale molto “dog friendly” potrebbe forse non riaprire. Così, mi ha detto il gestore con aria triste. Non mi è dato di sapere il perchè, non mi sono permesso di indagare. Spero veramente che possano tornare sui propi passi.

01/10/2023: Sabato sera 30 settembre, visto che al momento della prenotazione mi avevano detto essere chiusa la terrazza, appena arrivato vengo fatto accomodare nel giardino. Il servizio sarà gentile, celere e preparato alle mie domande sui vini, ma sarà il cibo quello che più mi soddisferà, il tutto in un contesto veramente gradevole nonostante gli avventori della tavola dietro alla nostra, decisamente rumorosi, ma non è certo colpa del locale. Di antipasto prendo un brandacujun cucinato in due maniere, la classica e in tempura, accompagnato da una salsina con una forte ma gustosissima preminenza d'aglio: buonissimo. Come secondo un fritto di totani e gamberi in pastella, abbondante ma delicatissimo nella frittura, quindi oltre che buono super digeribile, menzione d'onore al filetto di tonno preso da chi era con me: materia prima veramente eccellente, una crosticina delicatissima, il tutto su un letto di caponatina che, assaggiato, mi ha fatto strabuzzare gli occhi per quanto buono. Abbiamo accompagnato il tutto da un pigato morbido che era un piacere, conto totale per 4 piatti a base di pesce, una bottiglia di vino, coperto e acqua 105,00 euro: non ho mai pagato con tanta soddisfazione, questa è stata una delle sempre più rare volte nelle quali, uscire a cena, ne vale veramente la pena. A Diano il miglior posto nel quale abbia mai mangiato.

05/04/2024: Establishment recommended by the "backpacker", the chef must have changed since the last publication...the menu is promising but the result very disappointing. The products are not fresh, the portions are much too copious and without any real flavor. The plating is quite ordinary. The whole thing is not worth the detour... too bad.

22/03/2024: We are in our fifth year and have always returned. There is no need for introductions, everything is very good and the staff is very kind. You absolutely must stop by in Dolceacqua and taste these delicacies. This evening we tried the 6 star tasting menu

02/04/2024: If you have high expectations of a genuine italian food, you will be disapointed. This is a tourist trap that looks promising but tastes bad. The clams were as small as a 1 euro cent and the pasta thin and tasteless. We were 4 and had a chance to try 4 dishes and starters. Boil pasta and throw clams in it, job done. Muscules were tiny and with 2 day odor, ravioli from supermarket. How can this be a top rated place?

24/03/2024: The new management is not up to the old one. Good service. The quality of the items is good. Some excellent dishes, others disappointing. The chocolate cake with a soft center was too raw. Definitely beginners, they will certainly improve over time

07/04/2024: Go to Badalucco to eat dishes such as Russian salad and veal with tuna sauce, although good but not special at price of €40 also not! The menu is the one you will read reviewed a few months ago, I would suggest working a little harder and surprising the diners with some particular dishes perhaps freshly made, and not everything is ready and pre-heated, with the exception of the first courses. Then you have filled the room to accommodate more people, but it seems like a move to make more money... I would read everyone's complaints and take advantage of them to change something. Nothing to say about the staff, kind and attentive.

04/11/2023: After traveling through Croatia and Italy for 2 weeks, this was by far the best meal we ate. The 10 of us ordered the tasting menu which was plentiful and deliciously interesting (the 1st time I had braised rabbit!). Our host and owner, Donatello, was so gracious and willing to tell us about how everything we ate, including the white, rosé and red wine and the olive oil, was all raised/grown/produced on his family farm. I would return to San Lorenzo al Mare on the Italian Riviera just to dine there again!

29/10/2023: This was one of the most remarkable dining experiences we've ever had in Italy. Donatello was a gracious host and offered a family style meal for a group of 10, starting with gazpacho and eggplant parmesan followed by delicious seafood dishes, roasted rabbit, and fresh salad. The lemon sorbet was the perfect dessert and Donatello sheared his family wines throughout the entire meal. The service was prompt, courteous, professional and warm and when we received the bill, we were flabbergasted to find that this set menu was 45 Euros/person! Oh, and the restaurant is located in the family's converted olive oil pressing mill...Charming!

02/01/2024: We returned with joy to the San Giorgio Restaurant, a refined venue perfectly worthy of the magnificence of Cervo, a medieval village in Western Liguria. Care and elegance, elaborate and superb dishes, the work of the volcanic chef and owner Caterina Lanteri Cravet who celebrates and exalts - reinterpreting and innovating - the beloved Ligurian cuisine. The maître and sommelier Alessandro Barla and the chef de rang Michelangelo Latino are attentive and exquisite. The combination of fresh fish with artichokes, delicious fried anchovies, unforgettable zabaglione, super wine like everything else is fantastic!

02/01/2024: Siamo tornati con gioia in questo locale raffinato, perfettamente all'altezza della magnificenza di Cervo, borgo medievale del Ponente ligure. Cura ed eleganza, piatti elaborati e superbi, opera della vulcanica chef Caterina Lanteri Cravet che celebra ed esalta - reinterpretando e innovando - l'amata cucina ligure. Attenti e squisiti il maître/sommelier Alessandro Barla e lo chef de rang Michelangelo Latino. Imperdibile!
