We stopped by chance during a trip and found a very well-kept place, refined furnishings and tasty dishes. The casoncelli were definitely recommended as they were delicious and the bread which was really excellent and not the usually tasteless one that restaurants serve at the table. But the things we preferred most of all were the desserts, such as tiramisu and grandma's cake (still warm fresh out of the oven), and the homemade limoncello. Value for money perhaps slightly high, but overall justified. Definitely recommended.

Ate well and with peace of mind...

Location beautiful, love the vault ceiling. Very excited to dine here, I was a tad disappointed by weird vibe there was in the restaurant, for some reasons. First of all the food advertised on the board near the “piazza” and on the board outside the restaurant was different than the actual menu. The lady that served us was nice, a bit overwhelmed by work; this poor girl is there by herself doing everything, that obviously affected negatively the service. Food was good, but portions were very tiny. I personally had the rabbit, very good flavours but there were 3 pieces of rabbit, only the ribs. Essentially only bones and polenta on the plate. Also considering 2.5€ for “coperto” that doesn’t include any breadstick or bread (2€ for few slices) it’s quite a rip off. Weird rules or policies are in place there as well. Atmosphere I gave 2 stars only because the music in the background is not enough to cover the conversations of the people next to you, plus you can hear all the things the servers says to customers. With the right adjustments that place could be a 5 stars and beyond.

Finally a restaurant without TV. Clean and welcoming environment with relaxing music that you could speak in a whisper, not like some restaurants where you have to raise your voice to speak. As for the food, everything was excellent until I was shocked by how good it was. Staff and owner very kind and friendly, I will come again, I recommend it.

Very good typical Bergamo food. We chose a menu and a single dish for two people and we were very good. If I return to Bergamo I will return and I will clearly recommend it.

Ci siamo trovati bene per il cibo e per la gentilezza della ragazza che serviva ai tavoli. Il prezzo nella media in nord Italia, ma caro per altri. L’unica nota negativa è che abbiamo dovuto aspettare 1 ora di fuori al freddo e al gelo per entrare. C’è da dire che è l’unico ristorante che non era così pieno e tutto prenotato per mangiare.

Cibo ottimo della tradizione bergamasca, come mangiare a casa e le porzioni sono abbondanti. Ambiente intimo, consiglio la prenotazione. La cameriera ha servito tutti i tavoli da sola, bravissima! Consigliatissimo per chi vuole evitare i ristoranti turistici.

Peccato per l'attesa eccessiva prima di essere serviti. Anche l'acqua é arrivata dopo parecchio che eravamo seduti. L'oste si é scusata per l'attesa, affermando di avere poca manovalanza a disposizione. Penso che alcune piccole cose, come il portare una bottiglia d'acqua e una cestino di pane, renderebbero già essi meno noiosa l'attesa. Buoni i casoncelli, discreto lo stracotto, vino purtroppo allungato. Ambiente piacevole, peccato solo per la musica costante.

Spero vivamente di ritornarci a provare il resto del menù!!

Con la mia famiglia solo stata a pranzo del 23/12, ho chiesto il cambio del posate , la cameriera in modo estremamente maleducato mi ha risposto che avrei dovuto pagare di più. Ho chiesto il cambio delle posate. Vino indecente cibo appena discreto ho speso 45 euro a testa, ma in generale esito: malissimo. Mi dispiace x Stefano che è simpatico.
