19/08/2024: Siamo stati in questo posto per pranzo e ci hanno colpito innanzitutto due cose: La gentilezza della proprietaria e l'accuratezza del menù, tipico, vario e con ingredienti di ottima qualità. Buonissimo inoltre il pane di diversi tipi che viene offerto, in particolare abbiamo apprezzato quello ai semi di papavero e scorza di limone, preparato dalla mamma della proprietaria: questo aggiunge una dolce nota casalinga! Merita sicuramente una sosta!

31/07/2024: Nice to come across places like Dal Piciul by chance, finding it on our route. Very kind owner and staff, starter (beef for me and salmon for my girlfriend) and first courses (cold broth and tortelli) super tasty. To close, an excellent tiramisu. Very nice and welcoming place. I hope to be in these parts soon otherwise I'll wait for you in Amsterdam ;)

28/07/2024: We found this place by chance, going to visit the nearby Corniolo lake. The staff was very kind and welcoming, even though we arrived near closing time and without a reservation. Exquisite food, menu written in a very fun and evocative way, beautiful and refined environment. Kindness, quality and hospitality will definitely make us return for a second visit.

06/08/2024: The environment is rustic but well-kept, welcoming and local. It breathes tradition. The service is quick but rushed. The place was definitely not full and yet "they were in a hurry". The menu offers a very limited offering and is a purely winter menu enriched by a daily menu. Small portions and no dish that I will remember except the tiramisu which is excellent! Restaurant bill for being a trattoria.

04/08/2024: The best carbonara I've ever tasted and don't get me started on the salame with vinegar - drool!!! I found the frico a little too chewy for my tastes , but would 100% go back to this restaurant.

30/05/2024: Definitely delicious dishes... I don't give five stars because of the distracted waiter both when ordering (he gave incorrect information regarding the menu) and then in managing the service. Very tempting desserts. Price is normal for a restaurant of this type.

03/08/2024: Bel locale storico nel centro di Cividale. Ambiente con una bella atmosfera, personale cordiale. Ottimo il mangiare che spazia dalla carne al pesce. Per un primo (buono), una tartara (ottima) ed un dolce (ottimo) con due birre ed un caffè abbiamo speso €65.

11/07/2024: Locale storico (70 anni !) nel cuore di Mortegliano a pochi km da Udine. Cena degustazione per matrimonio. Accoglienza super, tutti molto gentili e attenti. Prodotti freschi, presentati con attenzione , un po’ di tradizione e un po’ di innovazione . Tutto estremamente buono ! Ci torneremo sicuramente!!

15/08/2024: Very nice atmosphere, but I have to agree with the previous speakers, more appearance than reality. We dared to sit at an empty table at 9 p.m. We were then informed quite rudely by the boss that you should ask questions and that you weren't allowed to just sit down with her. Mind you, the tables were outdoors, no information about table assignment etc. We were then seated at another table that had been reserved beforehand. With the sweet note if you want to eat something, sit there. Even in the worst restaurant I've ever been to, nothing like this has ever happened to me. Here the customer is as valuable as a number in the supermarket. When I stopped at the supermarket, I was treated like a customer and, despite the language barrier, I was treated politely, respectfully and courteously with the feeling that I was a "customer". All in all: ambience good, food looked good, waiters friendly. Fat old woman (boss) not customer-oriented, unfriendly, clearly has too many customers. PS: Needless to say, we left without comment. It certainly could have been a happy conversation, but I'm too good for that as a guest. @Google how about minus stars 😉 Update after response from the owner: Neither I nor my companion noticed any information about table assignment. As you correctly wrote, we walked up and down in front of your restaurant several times. We were not asked by the staff or you whether we needed a table. Staff was also very busy as the restaurant was busy. We then took the only free table. The impression afterwards: We were noticed when we sat down. The first thing we were told was that we shouldn't sit down without being assigned. Afterwards we were immediately informed that we would be lucky to get something else as the kitchen was about to close. It should be mentioned that everyone ate at all the tables and also ordered food. I didn't have the impression that the kitchen would close immediately. Subjective perception on my part: At no point did I feel welcome. I would even lean towards the “unwanted guest” point. I have never experienced rejection of this kind in the catering industry. We left the restaurant with this feeling. Last but not least, I would like to apologize for choosing inappropriate words about the general manager's physical appearance in my review, which I wrote in a moment of anger and emotional turmoil. This choice of words was extremely inappropriate. However, I can reassure her that the fat man won't visit her anymore and doesn't want a fight.
