09/05/2026: 🍷✨ First stop on our weekend among the wineries of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: a wonderful dinner at Trattoria al Parco di Buttrio... and we couldn't have started better! In the heart of the small village of Buttrio, dominated by its elegant bell tower, this trattoria welcomes guests in a large green space with convenient parking and an authentic, relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious, meticulously maintained, and incredibly welcoming. Even though it was a Friday evening and the restaurant was completely full, thanks to our reservation, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Service was prompt, attentive, and professional from the start, with a welcome basket of warm bread to kick off the evening. We started with a truly memorable trio of appetizers: 🥩 Excellent beef tartare with golden croutons, butter, and caramelized onions 🥓 Simply sublime D’Osvaldo prosciutto accompanied by crispy and flavorful tempura zucchini flowers 🌿 D’Osvaldo asparagus salad with eggs and pancetta: a balanced, tasty, and memorable dish We then skipped the first courses to focus directly on the second courses: succulent lamb chops with mashed potatoes and a delicious sausage with polenta, all accompanied by an excellent Meroi Rosso Nestri DOC F.C.O. 2023. 🍷 To round things off, dessert was a must: a truly exquisite millefeuille with mascarpone and strawberries, the perfect conclusion to a splendid Friulian dinner. 🍓✨ What can I say... impeccable service, top-quality ingredients, beautifully presented dishes, and an atmosphere that immediately made you feel at home. 26/06/2026: We booked a dinner for five people, and when we arrived at the door, we found a large sign saying CLOSED TONIGHT. Even though someone was inside, which we deduced from a window that was first open and then closed a few seconds later, no one bothered to answer to give us a reason. Well, what can I say...I'm forced to give one star just to publish my review! Anyway, thank you, we've worthily replaced you with a TOP restaurant.

Yesterday we celebrated our golden wedding anniversary, reconfirming this choice, and it was a dream come true. We received a wonderful welcome from the great Ivan and enjoyed a fantastic lunch in every way; first-rate quality, a variety to please every palate, admirable creativity and professionalism, attention to every detail of the service, and a knowledgeable, courteous, and elegant staff. 09/06/2026: A choice beyond our expectations after reading some already excellent reviews. This beautiful restaurant is a bit hidden on a street in the center of San Daniele, but that gives it an extra touch! For lunch with a friend, we sat at the very comfortable and shaded outdoor tables; the inside dining room is truly charming and welcoming. After perusing the extensive and by no means predictable menu, we ordered prosciutto and stracciatella to share, both very good and of high quality. Followed by tagliolini with San Daniele cheese and polenta and frico: everything was to our liking. The glasses of Friulian white wine and the prosecco were excellent and fresh. The service was friendly, helpful, and well-timed. Highly recommended!!! Thank you for the pleasant experience 🤗

03/06/2026: On Sunday, my husband and I stumbled upon this unfamiliar restaurant. We were greeted warmly. It was hot, and we were served water right away. We quickly ordered our food. The options were so varied, we were spoiled for choice. Shortly afterward, we were served. The dishes were exquisite, all authentic. Nothing was missing from our table. The staff were very attentive. We ate excellent gelato with fresh strawberries, and to finish, some cookies with the house wine. The price was reasonable for what we ate. We promised ourselves we would return. The air conditioning was adequate, and the tables were distributed throughout the various, characteristic rooms. The various paintings hanging on the walls were beautiful. In short, compliments to both the staff and the owner.

05/07/2026: The food is good, but not enough to get a 5-star rating (subjective). The restaurant is well-kept and the staff are friendly and super-friendly. Prices are fairly reasonable. The only downside is that there are too many insects in the outdoor seating (it's close to the countryside). A must try!

02/07/2026: A beautiful summer evening at Antico Leon d’Oro in Cividale del Friuli. The romantic courtyard creates a truly special atmosphere and invites you to linger. Even the appetizers were outstanding – we were particularly impressed by the baked escargots and the delicate vitello tonnato. The rabbit with creamy mashed potatoes was incredibly tender and delicious. The meal was accompanied by a wonderfully chilled Ribolla Gialla sparkling wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. A real highlight was the homemade fior di latte ice cream, freshly prepared and served right at our table – a special and delightful finale. The service was attentive, warm, and professional. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine, a great ambiance, and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Friuli! 🍾🐌🐇🍨

30/06/2026: Had dinner with friends here and it was incredibile. The outside seating area was beautiful, the service was great and so was the food. Some antipasti, a primo, and two secondi all great. Ended with the ice cream which was wonderful. Elena and all the people were so nice. Will definitely go back again!

04/04/2026: Beautiful hotel with truly comfortable rooms and a kitchenette. A studio apartment at a great price, perfect for combining a night with an excellent dinner at the adjacent restaurant. A well-kept courtyard surrounds these spaces, both palate-pleasing and relaxing. For 40 years, San Daniele has provided me with a simple yet intense experience, always satisfying. Restaurant: In a welcoming, refined yet family-friendly atmosphere, excellent prosciutto, aged 24 or 36 months, cooked with superb horseradish, excellent pickled vegetables and frico. Courtesy, prompt service, and the cleanliness, order, and quality are certainly excellent here. I enjoyed the house Friulano Bianco, which paired perfectly with the prosciutto. San Daniele remains a unique gem, and the DOCG prosciutto deserves UNESCO World Heritage recognition. For these reasons, I declare myself absolutely anti-global. Long live Italy, an extraordinary food and wine paradise.

30/06/2026: Relaxing hillside view. We had a plate of frico, served both classic and crispy, both very tasty. A warm mushroom and cheese tart, very flavorful. The gnocchi with game were excellent and plentiful. A mascarpone dessert and two coffees. Total €60. I'd say that's fair, considering everything was excellent and the location was beautiful and romantic! Well done!
