28/07/2026: After a couple of years, we returned a couple of weeks ago. Well, I have to say, from appetizer to dessert, everything was truly delicious. The young woman who welcomed us, Vanessa, was very polite, cheerful, and professional, and gave us excellent advice. The appetizer was excellent: a meat tartare with a mix of cured meats, cheeses, and giardiniera. Scallop risotto, grilled roast beef with baked potatoes, and baked sea bream with cherry tomatoes and Tagalog olives. Fruit, desserts, and coffee finished off the meal in style. Compliments to the chef. The location and table setting were beautiful. There are nothing to complain about, other than to recommend it... and we'll definitely be back as soon as we can.

14/07/2026: Fantastic restaurant! We were welcomed warmly, even though we arrived half an hour before opening time. We were served very quickly and everything was clearly explained. Very well-stocked complimentary bread baskets with the meal, and they were refilled immediately after they were empty. The food was simply top-notch, locally made, and of top quality. Highly recommended and definitely worth a generous tip.

04/08/2026: We go often. The cuisine is excellent, the ingredients are top-notch, and the value for money is the best in the Tarcento area. The service is professional; perhaps what's missing is a bit of atmosphere when you eat outside. The interior is both rustic and elegant. Recommended!

20/07/2026: Beautiful, classic restaurant with exposed stone columns and a wooden ceiling. The menu is truly extensive, but you can't come to San Daniele without an appetizer (at least 100g per person) of prosciutto crudo. We paired it with Montasio cheese and stracciatella. The stracciatella was so good (delicious) that we ordered a warm crostini with prosciutto, stracciatella, and caramelized black fig. This was also delicious. An exceptional combination of flavors! The desserts are also excellent!

02/07/2026: A beautiful summer evening at Antico Leon d’Oro in Cividale del Friuli. The romantic courtyard creates a truly special atmosphere and invites you to linger. Even the appetizers were outstanding – we were particularly impressed by the baked escargots and the delicate vitello tonnato. The rabbit with creamy mashed potatoes was incredibly tender and delicious. The meal was accompanied by a wonderfully chilled Ribolla Gialla sparkling wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. A real highlight was the homemade fior di latte ice cream, freshly prepared and served right at our table – a special and delightful finale. The service was attentive, warm, and professional. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine, a great ambiance, and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Friuli! 🍾🐌🐇🍨

30/06/2026: Had dinner with friends here and it was incredibile. The outside seating area was beautiful, the service was great and so was the food. Some antipasti, a primo, and two secondi all great. Ended with the ice cream which was wonderful. Elena and all the people were so nice. Will definitely go back again!

30/06/2026: Relaxing hillside view. We had a plate of frico, served both classic and crispy, both very tasty. A warm mushroom and cheese tart, very flavorful. The gnocchi with game were excellent and plentiful. A mascarpone dessert and two coffees. Total €60. I'd say that's fair, considering everything was excellent and the location was beautiful and romantic! Well done!

24/07/2026: It's a place dear to my heart. I did my military service here and used to have lunch there with my parents when they came to visit. Every time I pass by, it's a must-see. They're very kind and the food is excellent Friulian.
