03/04/2025: Sono oltre 30 anni che vado da Giannino, e non mangio bene come la prima volta agni volta che vi ritorno, ma meglio! L'imbarazzo della scelta è l'unico vero problema, ma io vi consiglio l'antipasto misto, il tris di primi, la grigliata mista, e la panna cotta!

19/03/2025: Food was great! Wide selection of local Abruzzese dishes, depending on availability they also offer a menu of the day! Arrosticini was delicious 🤤 juicy and tender meat. The staffs were kind especially the Peruvian guy - he advised my friend what to try and he was very welcoming and professional at the same time. The space is a bit small and there are few tables so plan and book ahead of time.

18/03/2025: Abbiamo festeggiato un evento di famiglia e ci siamo trovati benissimo, ottime materie prime, personale simpatico e molto bravo. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici cucinati benissimo con prezzi adeguati. Bravi ragazzi! Ospitali e tipici senza cadere nel cliché del turistico

Servizio di una professionalità encomiabile, materie prime di altissima qualità e maestria nella cucina nel condimento e negli impiattamenti… l unico rammarico aver avuto poco tempo e non aver potuto provare più portate. Abbiamo preso in quattro 3 primi (gnocco radicchio pancetta ecc ecc) DELIZIOSO ed un filetto di manzo cotto in maniera IMPECCABILE. 3 contorni una focaccia e 4 amari e caffè 105€… tornerò sicuramente nonostante la distanza che mi separa dal locale … FANTASTICO

16/02/2025: Consigliatissimo! Se cercate cibo di qualità abbinato ad un servizio impeccabile, "Lo Scoiattolo" è il ristorante che fa per voi! Portate ottime e ragazzi dello staff sempre disponibili e attenti alle esigenze del tavolo! Proprietario cordialissimo! 5 stelle stra meritate!

23/03/2025: Il locale è pulito e ordinato, arredamento un po’ retrò ma accogliente con personale e camerieri gentili e disponibilissimi. Abbiamo assaggiato piatti piemontesi e siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti. Nel menù anche piatti di pesce e abruzzesi, tra cui un polpo mangiato da uno dei nostri amici che ha apprezzato per sapore e tenerezza. Plauso a carciofi in insalata con toma: tenerissimi e abbondanti!

02/03/2025: I don't think I've ever eaten better than at Guado della Valle in my entire life. 5 stars are not enough as few words to describe the wonderful flavor of each dish. We were there in November and the place was warm and welcoming with the fireplace lit. The staff were very kind and helpful. I absolutely recommend!

01/03/2025: A typical restaurant in the heart of Abruzzo, which tastes precisely of this land. The scamorza with mushrooms and truffle is fantastic, the first course based on pappardelle with meat sauce is excellent, while the trout is a little simpler, nothing sensational. Overall a good and beautiful place to savor the goodness of typical products.

09/02/2025: Typical place in the village of Loreto, very popular, despite the difficulty in parking. Fast service, food and reasonable prices. Arrosticini to be improved. Advised!

15/01/2025: Suggestive spacious environment suitable for all eventualities, located under another road passage, fantastic pizzas and let's not talk about the first courses, I won't list them because there were six of us and we each ordered a different first course and each of us was satisfied, personally, gnocchi with truffles, all really good as well as the tomato stew and the 50 sheep's kebabs, very good local specialties, homemade desserts like tiramisu... I highly recommend trying it to believe it

29/03/2025: Ristorante spazioso, accogliente e camerieri gentili. Mangiare è molto buono, tutto casereccio e di qualità. 1 antipasto buono da dividere per due persone, 3 primi diversi da dividersi in famiglia abbondanti. Sul prezzo dubbioso perché facendo i conti non ridà il totale, pagato in contanti e non avendo lo scontrino non posso controllare, ma facendo il totale basato sul prezzario menu pagato 6/7 euro in più. Che non ci avrei fatto neanche caso se mi avesse offerto amaro o caffè. Però va bene così.

23/03/2025: We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children, we ordered appetizers and then (as a second course) arrosticini. They brought the appetizers right away, but then in my opinion they forgot to start the second course and so, even though we arrived at 8:40 pm, they served the arrosticini to us at 10:15 pm with the children who were hungry. While we were waiting we asked a waitress what arrosticini we were waiting for, she dismissed us with a "they're cooking" without clearly checking. Until someone took pity on us and realized that "probably" the second course hadn't been started. So, good food, but not up to par service, human error can happen, just as a not exactly positive review can happen.

06/02/2025: Restaurant Review Very nice location, good food. Too bad about the service, I understand that on Saturdays there can be a lot of people at lunch, but 40 minutes for the first courses seems excessive to me, especially if this wait also affected a 2-year-old child. Otherwise the stars would have been 4. Anyway, overall good.

20/03/2025: We chose this restaurant, appreciating it for its genuine cuisine since the times when the owner ran it in Torano Nuovo, now in Sant'Omero. We like it for its simple cuisine, inspired by the Abruzzo tradition, which offers local delicacies without frills, with particular attention to the well-being of the diner (we are what we eat). The seasonings and salt are dosed with balance. We find it ideal for a lunch break during work, thanks to freshly prepared dishes and a friendly environment, perfect for breaking up the daily routine. The combination of traditional dishes and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a point of reference to try, with modest prices that allow even daily attendance. We highly recommend this restaurant and applause goes to the "master" who keeps us healthy, maintaining a varied and delicious cuisine. Thanks so much! Oh, I forgot! They also make spectacular gripper!

17/03/2025: Following Di Stefano's review, which is usually a guarantee, I stopped for lunch with my husband. I wanted to order grilled lamb but it wasn't available, nor was there chicken with potatoes. They offered me grilled turkey breast but it was obviously cooked in a pan and to show that it was grilled they put small pieces of charcoal on top; it's a shame that they also ended up on top of the cabbage on the same plate. My husband chose the chitarra del postiglione, a generous dish and expertly served, it's a shame that the pasta didn't go well with the sauce. We ordered sparkling water but the bottle, used several times because it was probably filled by a distributor, I don't think had been washed on the outside since the days of the postilions. The bill included €15 for turkey breast and cabbage, €14 for chitarra with ricotta and sausage ragù, a sparkling water, two coffees and €5 for two covers. Total €38 discounted to €35. For €2.50 per person for a cover charge, I expect at least fabric tablecloths and a teaspoon for the coffee instead of the disposable stirrer... and maybe a bottle properly sanitized after each use. The place is almost empty so serve yourself without any rush. Given the many positive reviews, perhaps we simply didn't choose the right day... too bad.
