A popular restaurant; reservations are definitely recommended. We managed to get a table for two without a reservation. The house wine was good, and we were served some bread with olive oil. We had spaghetti with anchovies and spaghetti carbonara. I thought both dishes were really good, and my girlfriend said the carbonara was the best in Milan. We were offered a schnapps at the end, and two men played some live music during the meal. All in all, really good for a fair price.
I was hesitant to leave a review... just because I was envious that someone else was enjoying this place as much as we were. It was so good that we went back the next day to try other dishes. It's a true gastronomic experience. It's not for tourists... don't expect a menu in English. It's a restaurant for locals. Since we were a bit lost about what to order, they gave us some advice, and we just went with the flow and were pleasantly surprised. A guide recommended the place, and it was THE restaurant of the trip. Please don't miss it, in honor of the recommendation I'm making of this place.
My favorite restaurant in the world, a must visit whenever we are in Milan. The Schiaffoni Della Cuoca (giant tortellinis) are the absolute best, will get every time. They are quick to refill the bread, which is delicious, and have overall excellent service and very friendly staff. You definitely need a reservation, this place is always busy when we come, but it is worth it!
For sure the best meal in Milan. Pasta was the best, tiramisu was amazing.
Atmosphere is really good. Authentic and great evening. Need to reserve ahead of time.
