30/09/2025: IT WAS BORN WHERE THE OLD MARACAS WAS ONCE LOCATED, TABLES A LITTLE TOO CLOSE BUT OVERALL A WELCOMING PLACE IF YOU GO THERE WITHOUT TOO MANY EXPECTATIONS FOR AN EVENING WITH FRIENDS, IT'S FINE!
21/09/2025: Last night we went out for pizza. We didn't understand why the first three pizzas arrived cold. I say three because the fourth arrived 20 minutes later. I complained to the staff preparing the pizzas, but they weren't very kind. Instead of apologizing, they tried to impose their reasons. I'm a professional, so I let it go. So the three of us had finished and the last lady was still eating. For dinner or lunch, pizza or spaghetti, I mean everyone eats together. And we still haven't understood the cold, non-steaming pizzas. Bha!!

A pleasant, friendly place to enjoy excellent coffee in good company. Selected local products are also available, perfect for yourself or as a gift. We'll be back!

28/09/2025: We celebrated my daughter's graduation on September 19th. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment... The venue is very nice, but that's all. The food was quite good, although the spaghetti alla Nerano lacked salt, which was instead generously added to the potatoes. The biggest disappointment was the lack of hospitality. Everyone noticed... The party started at 9:30 PM, and by 11:20 AM the cake was already brought without asking. I avoided choosing a venue in Naples because almost all of them close at midnight. If I had known there was a curfew here, I never would have chosen it... It was a kids' party with dinner served at the table and entertainment by a DJ and speakers (paid €500 + €140 for SIAE rights). MONEY WASTED because Alex and Paolo didn't entertain anyone. They simply let my daughter dance with her boyfriend. I strongly advise against this property, especially since there are many other villas in the area that do their job very well, especially Villa Sciarrera, where I celebrated my other daughter's graduation in a wonderful and flawless way. We lived a dream there (read the review for the graduation on July 29, 2024), while at Villa il Soffione we lived a nightmare...

06/10/2025: I went as a couple. The aperitif was very watered down, the non-alcoholic drink was definitely overpriced at €8, and there was a tiny bowl of peanuts on the side, and nothing else. When my partner asked for at least a small bowl of chips, the waitress informed us that each additional bowl over the four peanuts served would cost €1. Perplexed, we asked for the bowl, which was offered to us, but it was two more peanuts. The only redeeming feature was the view.

05/10/2025: This restaurant on the lively Baia waterfront is a pleasant surprise. High-quality seafood cuisine, starting with seafood cured meats, excellent hot appetizers, and well-balanced and flavorful pasta dishes. Friendly service and an excellent wine list.

18/09/2025: On September 12th, I arrived at the pizzeria with my wife, where my mother, brothers, and their wives were waiting for us. My sister-in-law and I ordered two stuffed pizzas with baked escarole. After the first few bites, my sister-in-law noticed a strange taste of alcohol. My wife, who had tried it, also noticed the same taste. I tried to eat a good portion of the pizza, but I left it when it tasted of alcohol, too. You can't present a product without ensuring the quality of the ingredients used. My wife had ordered a Margherita with buffalo mozzarella, which was of poor quality. I won't be returning.

30/08/2025: Lunch with long-time friends, recommended by one of us who often comes here when he returns to Naples. We ate à la carte, everything was good and freshly prepared. I recommend it as a trattoria from another era, simple and friendly. The ready-made takeaway dishes are also good, with a variety of choices.
18/08/2025: This trattoria is highly recommended for its fresh fish, which delighted our palates. The service is excellent, the staff is courteous, and above all, the food is meticulously prepared. Quality products. Fair prices. One of the best trattorias in the area.

29/09/2025: Personally, I'm not used to writing this type of review.... But since there was more than one problem... it had to be said... We found the portions of an appetizer very small despite the price. One of the first tastings had overcooked pasta and we also found half a clam shell inside the pasta (very serious) a very loose seafood rice... And furthermore when we reported the overcooked pasta and the clam shell... The owner showed up only at the end without charging us for the dish in question... (That is, only the one with the clam shell that my husband had found dangerously in his mouth. They didn't bring us another first course and on the bill I found myself double-counted for wine... in the end the bill was quite high for what we ate.... They took €10 off us plus the dish in question... Personally I don't think we'll go back... Also because I can understand and one oversight can happen... Maybe two... But in my opinion there were a few too many.

01/06/2025: Consigliato da amici siamo stati in questo ristorante, la cucina è abbastanza buona, prodotti di prima scelta ma i prezzi un po’ alti per la media. Ci siamo lamentati dell antipasto un po’ scarno e il cameriere ci diceva che avrebbe rimediato alla cosa facendoci arrivare un secondo antipasto di rinforzo, che però alla fine ci siamo ritrovati sul conto. Scorretto!!

Qualità del pesce clamorosa (il tonno così rosso l’ho visto solo in Giappone)
Piatti belli, ben presentati ma sopratutto buonissimi (il mio pacchero alla ricciola squisito)
Prezzi giusti (primi 20 euro giustissimo!)
Insomma.. prenoto subito per ritornare
Causa traffico siamo arrivati con molto ritardo: la cortesia e disponibilità è stata da manuale

14/09/2025: I've had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant several times, and I must say the food has always been good. Today, the welcome wasn't as good as the times I've been here previously, and neither was the food.
We ordered a bottle of Coke as soon as we sat down, but it never arrived!
The menu was very limited, with a choice of two appetizers, three first courses, and, I don't know if it was due to location issues, there weren't even any main courses or side dishes. I had to ask the waiter directly if it was possible to have a slice of meat. He said yes, but in reality, the slice of meat arrived. 😅
The appetizer platter was very meager, with one appetizer course being changed without our knowledge because the one we requested had run out.
We asked the waiter for bread to eat with the appetizers, and he replied, "Make that enough for yourself because we're out of bread," and I think there's a restaurant that can't possibly be bread-free on a Sunday at 2:00 PM!
An hour and a half passed between the appetizer and the main course, and there weren't even many people to wait that long! So the staff was really slow.
Very disappointing.
10/09/2025: I had a great time, both with the atmosphere and the food.
The preparations are excellent; you can tell they use top-quality ingredients, cooked just as well.

09/09/2025: Every time I come, I'm always satisfied, both with the quality of the dishes and the service. I have nothing else to add, so try it and believe it 😋😋😋😋😋
20/08/2025: We arrived at Villa Chiara with the intention of enjoying a good pizza, so much so that we specifically booked a table. Once there, we were informed that pizza is usually only served in the evening. No problem: we decided to try a first and second course. The wait was pleasantly accompanied by a welcome gift of bruschetta and fritters.
The young man who welcomed us was immediately kind and helpful, so much so that he offered to turn on the oven to make us a pizza anyway. And indeed, near the end of the meal, a delicious Margherita pizza was brought to the center of our table—a real surprise!
What can I say... impeccable service, attentive and thoughtful staff, tasty dishes, and a refined, clean, and modern atmosphere. The prices are absolutely fair. An experience that left us smiling and wanting to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
