05/01/2025: Posto accogliente perfetto per gustare ottima carne e vari tipi di carne,il proprietario ti accoglie e ti consiglia con attenzione, abbiamo degustato diversi tagli tra cui gli arrosticini, filetto delicato e morbidissimo, la picanha davvero succulente accompagnato da ottimo vino, e per concludere ottimi dolci,posto piacevole e di classe lo raccomandiamo vivamente

02/01/2025: Not only did they give us a warm welcome but also made us feel at home. We hadn't been able to find a place to have dinner when we found this restaurant where we could celebrate the new year. Highly recommended. Delicious food and unique dishes.

12/10/2024: What a cool spot for a smoke and beverage! As I approached the front outside seating entrance I was welcomed by two serving staff. Super friendly and inviting. I got a sat at a comfortable spot for me to enjoy my cigar and drinks.

03/03/2025: We appreciated that it was one of the very few places open in early March in Tropea. Really excellent food: the swordfish rolls are wonderful! Friendly service and very central location. Fair prices (my second course was €18).

13/02/2025: Excellent food, place hidden inside and require a bit of patience to find it, managed at family levels it's still have a family atmosphere, raccomanded if you are in Tropea.

14/01/2025: I must have had a bad evening reading all the reviews but last night the only two things I agree with were the generous portions and the friendliness of the staff, for the rest I didn't eat a good fried cuoppo and the sandwich, the fried food was rubbery and not of good taste, I'm sorry because there were so many expectations. But I understand that it can happen, which is why I give it 1 star.

21/12/2024: Koes i Cuoppi Friggitoria is a true paradise for street food lovers! I tried their cuoppo and was impressed by the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Every bite is an explosion of flavours, from the light and crunchy frying to the tasty and well-balanced fillings. Absolutely recommended!

09/03/2025: Locale senza infamia e senza lode. Non ho gradito l'antipasto...nemmeno i primi mi hanno entusiasmata. Il prezzo è OK, servizio gentile e abbastanza rapido. Ma non ci tornerei.

16/11/2024: I had been living in Tropea for a few weeks and this place and their sister restaurant, la dispensa by boca, are my favorite spots by far. The food is amazing, I enjoyed every meal and kept going back. I tried a few of the pasta dishes and main courses, and all are delicious, including the friesian sirloin steak, which was perfectly cooked. the three course tasting menu is a very good value. All of the seafood was very fresh and very well prepared. I loved how they mixed flavors and explored new ways of incorporating Calabrese staples. Each meal was a really fun foodie experience. The wine selection is also excellent. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and excited about the food and wine. It’s also beautiful as it is in the square next to the duomo. This is a must visit when in Tropea, enjoy!

30/12/2024: fter a wonderful day in Tropea with a walk around the city and long swims on the beach, we came across La Lamia in the evening around 10pm. After a short wait, a table was set for us and we sat at a tasteful table in an almost idyllic setting. For us Berliners, the way we imagine and desire Italy, but it has never been like this in Berlin and Germany. The order was taken quickly. Due to their hunger, both children took the main course along with their parents' starter. Everything was served quickly and very professionally, corresponding requests were immediately taken into account and fulfilled. The food itself was very good overall. Beef fillet with rocket and medium fried cherry tomatoes, spaghetti with red prawns and black truffle, pasta filled with mozzarella and grilled sausage with Tropea salad. The steak was exactly as expected, the truffle pasta was fantastic, even with mozzarella, and the sausage was unexpectedly served differently and tasted great. Only the Tropea salad was a little weak, but this is a very high level problem. We really enjoyed ourselves this evening and really good food and great service. Finally Italian cuisine according to our ideas... thank you very much! And not a comment at the end: Rarely have we had the feeling that price and performance go so well together!!!

19/10/2024: Very delicious and romantic! Highly recommended their onion soup! Prices are good. Portions are big. Local vino is good too! Quite charming place to spend an evening with taste of local food. Very beautiful paintings on the walls. Have to be more warm lights on the tables.

16/10/2024: Just what my boyfriend and I were looking for. Simple and good pasta. The peperoncino spaguetti had a quick. The porcini in the tagliatelle was so soft and buttery. They had good vegetarian options, as we often struggle to find non-fishy and meaty variations in Tropea. Reccomend.

30/12/2024: Everything is very good, from fried to dessert. Very kind staff and very nice atmosphere, slightly more secluded and quiet than most of the other places in the area. Perfect for a quick meal or a snack and with quite low prices.

29/12/2024: Tutto molto buono, dai fritti al dolce. Personale gentilissimo e ambiente molto carino, leggermente più defilato e tranquillo rispetto alla maggior parte degli altri locali della zona. Perfetto per un pasto veloce o uno spuntino e con prezzi anche abbastanza bassi.

16/11/2024: Update, this summer I go to get a braid with almonds and they give me the one from the day before, it was rubbery and moreover much smaller than those from last year, I point out to him that it was from the day before, that it was rubbery and like they always cringe, the funniest thing when I tell them that they were smaller than other years and they find the excuse that they were smaller, in fact the next day I go in to get another one and I notice that they were the same old ones as the day first, I left without buying anything, they won't see me again, too bad for the tourists who are literally almost made fun of....., the pos?? they don't even know what it is, it's always broken, the receipt on request..... This year I returned, in July I always got the ice cream croissant with cream "3 scoops of ice cream plus cream, always paid €4, end of July same ice cream croissant 3 scoops of ice cream with cream €4.50, I point out that I had always paid €4 and they cringe by saying that evidently "10 times, even you yourself" they were wrong, but who are they kidding, I return at the end August, always ice cream croissant with cream €4.50, the problem is that this time instead of 3 ice cream scoops they put 2, I point out that normally they were 3 ice cream scoops and they call me a liar in an arrogant way "like Tropeans very often, they always want to be right", he tells me that if I wanted he would give me the third ball even if it wasn't foreseen, I'll make him wear it, it's not for the money but the teasing. 20/10/2024: He estado frecuentando este maravilloso lugar en la costa durante muchos años y fue maravilloso escuchar que Floriana estaba en la cocina. La comida que sirve es simplemente maravillosa. Verduras a la parrilla, spaghetti vongele, pastas de marisco. todo tiene un sabor maravilloso. Personal atento y tan relajante en las tumbonas. Buena selección de bebidas, snacks y pizzas.

30/09/2024: Reservamos nuestra visita a través de la página web y nos avisaron que nos enviarían el menú la noche anterior para ver si todavía queríamos ir. ¡Claro que sí! El menú sonaba delicioso y la oportunidad de escuchar, discutir y probar los maridajes de vinos con la comida era imperdible. ¡No nos decepcionaron! Fuimos recibidos por Michele que nos mostró a nuestra mesa (fuera en una terraza preciosa con el sonido del mar a solo unos metros de distancia). Explicó que estaríamos probando una serie de platos regionales junto con lo que consideraron el mejor maridaje de vinos. Los platos llegaron a un flujo constante junto con el vino y nos encantó a todos. Por supuesto, los platos contenían un ingrediente único de la región: la cebolla Tropea, que hacía que cada plato supiera como algo que no había probado antes. La oportunidad de discutir cada plato / vino con Michele fue tan buena y aprendimos mucho de su conocimiento. Conocimos a Romana, la esposa de Michele y su hija. Lo que nos dio la oportunidad de agradecer a Romana por hacer los platos tan maravillosamente. Fue un asunto familiar basado en el amor y esto se produjo en la comida y el vino. Bien hecho Michele y Romana. Le deseo suerte en su restaurante y espero que mucha gente pueda probar la forma en que la cocina italiana debe saber.

18/09/2024: Mi padre y yo estábamos visitando Calabria para ver los pueblos de donde venía nuestra familia. Pasamos un par de días en Tropea, y Osteria della Cipolla Rossa fue lo más destacado. La comida era increíble - vino y comida. Era arte verdadero y delicioso. ¡Tan talentoso! Una experiencia única para aprender más sobre la historia de la región a través de la comida. Toda la familia era maravillosa. No puedo recomendar esto lo suficiente. La experiencia bien valió la pena, y un recuerdo duradero. ¡Esperemos que tú también lo disfrutes! Logísticamente, envíe una nota a su correo electrónico. Ofrecen clases de cocina o maridaje de vinos con alimentos. Hicimos lo último. Van al mercado cada mañana (no use refrigeradores, cocine fresco ese día) , por lo que el menú cambia todos los días.
