31/10/2025: This restaurant is highly recommended and easy to find near the cathedral. The staff is very dedicated, and the cuisine is superb, featuring local specialists. The cipolle frites are divine, as is the tuna steak with a pistachio crust. The house red wine perfectly complements the culinary experience. We've been there twice and would gladly return. 😀

05/04/2026: Authentic Italian pizza – light, with a thin, crispy crust. It's mostly frequented by Italians, which speaks volumes about its authenticity. The prices are very competitive – Moretti beer €2, pizza €7. It's self-service, so you don't have to worry about coperto. The service is very friendly 🫶

03/04/2026: Really good pizza, strongly recommend. Second most tasty pizza I found in Tropea but the prices of SapoRe are hard to beat. Crispy dough and just the right amount of ingredients. The service is very quick too.

30/09/2025: I'm sharing my very positive experience! We were four of us at this restaurant on July 11, 2025. The welcome was typically touristy, but the restaurant actually offered impeccable service, good food, and excellent value. It's a shame about the portions, which were really small.

27/09/2025: It's more of a snack stand and a garden. At first glance, nothing much. But.....the absolute best Arancini with nduja. The service was great, very pleasant and kind. We were very satisfied. Too bad they're closed on Saturdays. I recommend

18/04/2026: We popped in for drinks and a snack, we were so impressed with the meals being served to other people and the friendly and professional staff that we came back the next night. The food was a very pleasant surprise, I had the Tuna Tataki , which was in my eyes done too perfection. Should we be in Tropea again then this will be our first choice.

18/04/2026: We've been traveling through Italy since January and have eaten at numerous restaurants. Last night, we experienced the absolute pinnacle of culinary delight at this restaurant. The tuna tataki was simply perfect. Add to that the friendliness of the staff, who always kept a watchful eye on the guests and spoke fluent English. One employee speaks eight different languages, so communication with most guests is certainly possible. Anyone who appreciates excellent ingredients and a truly wonderful experience in a small Italian restaurant should definitely pay this one a visit.

10/09/2025: Delicious croissants with generous fillings, bought almost every night for breakfast the next day and because they're so addictive. The ice cream is also no joke, and it's delicious, too.

08/04/2026: In the first place, we ordered tea but we got only hot water. There was also a hair on the pizza. At the end we ordered the typical dessert tartufo. We got a completely different thing and it was just a frozen lemon ice cream. The staff was flirting with women the whole time. Overall, the food was mid and we didn’t even get what we ordered.

12/04/2026: A modern grill restaurant that recently underwent a significant renovation. The main photos on Google don't match the current location, which is indeed a modern grill restaurant, featuring outstanding meats from around the world (including Wagyu) and a very refined atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally courteous. Highly recommended.

22/03/2026: The atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is exquisite. The care taken in every culinary detail is evident. It's a place that makes you want to return soon. The dining experience was very satisfying. I highly recommend this place for enjoying some quality time.

17/03/2026: Service was too slow. Portions of vegetarian meals are too small. It was a 5-course meal dinner, and it took 5 hours to serve these. Though the order was already pre-ordered, still had to wait so long for each course. Ravioli was undercooked and had too much salt. Risotto's rice was undercooked. Lasagna with zucchini and potato, Cabbage/Lettuce with mushroom sauce, cake were okay.

08/03/2026: Hidden in the backstreets of Tropea, this local restaurant serves delicious local food. The prices may not be the lowest, but it's worth it! The interior is small but atmospheric, and you can eat outside, but being off-season, the weather wasn't ideal for al fresco dining. The pasta with Lucius and mushrooms was simply exquisite!

20/11/2025: Located right in the heart of Tropea's bustling old town, the restaurant's terrace is surprisingly peaceful. The menu focuses on fish, and we enjoyed a delicious sea bream baked in a salt crust. Our starter included the region's famous "Cipolla Rossa di Tropea" onions, prepared in three different varieties. The service was attentive and courteous.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

31/03/2026: Stunning pasta dishes! My husband is still raving about how wonderful the Strangozzi al profumo di mare (fresh spaghetti with mixed seafood) was - incredibly fresh pasta and a great range of seafood in a delicious sauce. Large portions and served with bread (in a paper bag). I had the linguine with prawns and pistachio which was tasty. Local wine was easy drinking.

27/03/2026: Delicious pizza and one of the cheapest in Tropea. Highly recommended! Our top pick is the A Vampata pizza from N'duja—delicious.
