28/08/2025: If it were possible to give it 10 stars, I would. A property in the heart of Tropea, just steps from the seafront and offering every comfort. A gem. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Tropea, enjoy the town, the crystal-clear waters, and stay in an oasis of peace. Recommended for both families and couples. Book now—you won't regret it!

19/08/2025: The restaurant is an excellent choice for those who love authentic flavors, especially Tropea onions, the star of a richly varied appetizer and two first courses, one of which can easily be veganized by omitting the pecorino cheese without sacrificing flavor. The staff is friendly and helpful, attentive to every need, and the owner was particularly thoughtful, bringing me freshly picked figs after noticing my interest in the ones next to the cake. The location is welcoming and well-kept, and the dishes are refined and flavorful. The experience was very positive and delicious, although the price was high, commensurate with the quality and attentiveness of the service.

31/10/2025: This restaurant is highly recommended and easy to find near the cathedral. The staff is very dedicated, and the cuisine is superb, featuring local specialists. The cipolle frites are divine, as is the tuna steak with a pistachio crust. The house red wine perfectly complements the culinary experience. We've been there twice and would gladly return. 😀

28/11/2025: Super nice owner, very accomodating! The arancinis and pizza were unexpectedly blah. A Thursday evening at about 1830, out of season being late November. We got the last of the arancinis, and our pizzas were made to order. But none were anything special. Dissapointingly. But, maybe it was our timing.

30/09/2025: I'm sharing my very positive experience! We were four of us at this restaurant on July 11, 2025. The welcome was typically touristy, but the restaurant actually offered impeccable service, good food, and excellent value. It's a shame about the portions, which were really small.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. 16/10/2025: Excellent restaurant, very tasty, top-notch service. We stumbled upon it by chance; we had a reservation at Alice's. It was a very lucky coincidence, though.

18/10/2025: Nice restaurant with a good wibe. The owner and staff were really nice and presence. We had both different kind of meat and vegetarian meals and it was all good. So a good experience and we are considering going back again to try some of the other dishes. Definitely recommendable.

20/11/2025: Located right in the heart of Tropea's bustling old town, the restaurant's terrace is surprisingly peaceful. The menu focuses on fish, and we enjoyed a delicious sea bream baked in a salt crust. Our starter included the region's famous "Cipolla Rossa di Tropea" onions, prepared in three different varieties. The service was attentive and courteous.

02/11/2025: Beautiful and charming location in the heart of Tropea. But I really can't say enough about the deliciousness of the food I tasted. I didn't go for typical products, but for classic seafood and meat dishes. I don't recommend the seafood appetizers; they're really nothing special. The ravioli with shrimp and scallops were good. Otherwise, everything was normal, with excessive prices. The wait for the food was exaggerated, despite the good service and numerous staff. Worth a look.

30/10/2025: Found on a recommendation. The charming atmosphere begins right at the entrance, where you stand on a glass platform overlooking the old wine cellar. The tables are well spaced. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and conversation. Luckily, we reserved a table. Very attentive service. Delicious bread served in a paper bag. The €2 cover charge is reasonable. Good selection of typical Italian dishes. We enjoyed the food, and the meat was exceptionally tender.

09/10/2025: A disgrace. The restaurant is called What's Amore, but there's no love or respect for the customer here. We came with my daughter for lunch and ordered the raw seafood: the oysters weren't fresh, had a bitter taste, and smelled bad. When we asked to change them, the waitress said "that's just how they are" and brought another—the same and inedible. The pasta with clams? First overcooked, then raw. After two attempts, we gave up. The mixed fried fish was also almost inedible, with the bitter taste of old, unrefreshed oil. In the end, almost 80 euros for a bad meal and arrogant service. When I complained, the waitress said she "didn't want to talk to us." What's Amore? No love, just disappointment.
