A great place! The owner makes his own pizza, which is the best in Tropea. You can also grab a beer or wine there. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the bill!

Incredible, authentic Italian pizza in a neighborhood atmosphere. Plastic chairs and cutlery, tables without tablecloths, and the food is incredible! Locals only shop here. And the service is incredibly friendly! I wish I had a pizzeria like this in my neighborhood. For me, it's the best dough I've ever had, and the toppings are great too. And the prices are incredible: a great pizza for 7 euros and a large beer for 3. You can also take it to go.

The pizza was very tasty, but the arancino delicato was not good – it was probably made quite a while ago, microwaved, with little filling, unappetizing cheese, and poor-quality ham – the whole thing was slightly sour, perhaps even stale. I recommend it, but only for pizza.

The sunset view from San Domenico is simply breathtaking—one of those views that makes you pause for a moment before ordering, because you realize you're looking at something rare. That alone would be worth the visit. But the cuisine is no exception: the gnocchi with gurnard, snapper, strawberries, and chili pepper are an extraordinary dish—creativity, technique, and Calabrian terroir blend impeccably. Sweet, seafood, spicy. A balance few manage to achieve. The service is top-notch, attentive, and never intrusive. Special mention to Maria Concetta, whose professionalism and warmth made the evening even more enjoyable—the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. San Domenico plays in Serie A. One of the best restaurants on the Calabrian coast, without a doubt.
27/06/2026: San Domenico is in a league of its own. The cuisine is fantastic, the service more than perfect. The location is a dream.

17/07/2026: After 10 days travel across Italy. This is the best restaurant based on price and quality. Also has a beautiful internal area. Highly recommended. International Class
16/07/2026: After a year, I'm forced to update my review because the food isn't as good as it was a year ago! The rice isn't creamy, the baby octopus is practically in a broth, the pasta is completely disjointed, and the octopus is rubbery. It's a shame because we had a really great time last year.
