29/08/2025: I was there in August. Nice place, considering the position of the waiters, some are saved, unlike 1 in particular.

28/07/2025: An appetizer, two first courses, and a second course, which we didn't even have time to take a picture of because it was so delicious. The atmosphere and service were excellent. The food was amazing: fresh, high-quality fish. It's now a regular stop.

22/05/2025: Local cuisine. The citrus ravioli is to die for. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully decorated former winery. The noise is bearable. Service is a little slow due to being overwhelmed by its success.

18/05/2025: It is a very welcoming and characteristic place to eat. The food is quality and the staff is very professional.

24/07/2025: Trattoria-pizzeria with a refined and chic style. Good pizza, especially the Calabrian one with 'n duja and Tropea onions, and excellent swordfish with caponata. Service was a bit slow, but that was justified by the fact that the place was busy. Prices are quite high.

15/07/2025: Magnificent restaurant. This is my second year in Parghelia, and Portale is my go-to place for a proper dinner. Excellent food, welcoming staff, top-quality ingredients, and incredibly affordable prices—the best place to eat in the area. I highly recommend it. Try it and believe it.

16/08/2025: Family-run restaurant. The staff are kind, friendly, and smiling; you immediately feel at home. Excellent pizza, a true classic, unlike what's currently trendy (Neapolitan and other similar dishes). The place has a quaint, almost vintage feel, and is super cute with its Hansel and Gretel-style chairs and tables. Like a little house in the woods, this place is a wonderful discovery.

27/05/2025: I tried it for the first time and it really impressed me. A tidy place and the style is rustic, spacious and sporty. The service was excellent, the waiting time depends. The staff is hardworking and friendly. There is a lot of choice on the menu, even if it is a little too big especially for drinks. Specialties are mainly fish, but also for those who want something meat or who want pizza. Regarding the price, it was honest.

19/08/2025: We were there on the evening of August 16, 2025, with my wife and children. In short, we sat at the table, and it took 35 minutes for the order to be taken. Then I noticed that the waiters only saw regular customers, so at a certain point I got up to bring a waiter to the table, and after that, 50 minutes passed before the pizzas arrived... In any case, in my opinion, they're unprofessional... and finally, they're also expensive... not keeping up with the standard.

18/08/2025: Welcoming place on the sea, owner and waiters very helpful, friendly and nice, we had lunch on the day of Ferragosto based on fish, ate very well and abundantly

24/08/2025: The wait staff was extremely professional, friendly, and prompt. The fish was fresh and very well cooked. Excellent value. Highly recommended. The location is perfect.

22/08/2025: A disappointing experience. The calamari, both grilled and fried, were barely edible. The scialiatelli with red shrimp were completely tasteless. The shrimp and calamari tasted like they were frozen. To make matters worse, the bill included two more dishes and one more bottle of water than we ordered. We won't be returning.

30/08/2025: During our vacation in Calabria, my friends and I had the pleasure of enjoying an aperitivo at this bar. Aside from the fact that spritzes cost €7.50, shortly after consuming them, we started feeling nauseous and vomiting. I should point out that only those who attended the aperitivo felt sick; those who didn't were fine. An aperitivo with a sea view, rounded off with a trip home spent vomiting. A truly evocative experience, but one we won't repeat! P.S. We're in our mid-20s and only had one or two spritzes, no more.

22/07/2025: The owner is a truly rude person. I won't go into what happened here, but he was truly awful. I feel sorry for his staff, who are kind and helpful. The one-star rating is mainly due to the service. The calzones were inedible. The arancini, so much praised by many, tasted strange, but perhaps that was due to the excessive heat at the time. You've lost a lot of loyal customers. So next time, be more polite and helpful.
