A Barraca In Matera

A delightful evening discovering this place in the city of Matera. This churrascheria offers a wealth of Brazilian delicacies and treats. It's called "A Baraca." The all-you-can-eat menu includes meat and sides, plus cover charge, drinks, and desserts. The Brazilians were incredibly friendly and professional, and the grill chef was exceptionally skilled, as the meat was of superb quality and flavor. Pichaña, beef fillet, loin, sweet and spicy sausage, chicken drumsticks, and much more, all prepared and marinated with unique flavors, from beer to pecorino. Side dishes are available as an all-you-can-eat buffet, including rice and beans, meat, mushrooms, and many others to try. At the end of the evening, they served pineapple, caramelized on the outside on the grill, to pamper the palate with the flavors of the desserts that will be served later. What can I say... along with some good beers, we had a Brazilian cerveja (no draft beer, only bottled) and the inevitable Capiroska with lime, the evening was perfect!!!

I discovered this wonderful place last year through friends. Today I went there for lunch for the second time, and it's always a pleasure. Only the second time, but because I'm 100km away, if I were closer, I'd go every day. The quality of the meat is excellent; my favorite is the picanha, which, in my opinion, I've only ever tasted fully here. The appetizer and side dish buffet was delicious, and the desserts were simply delicious. I highly recommend it. Greetings to Angelo and his staff. See you soon.

5 stars are not enough for a place that, for me, is "HOME." A place where you'll find exceptional staff who welcome you cheerfully and make you feel the true Brazilian atmosphere. You'll find the unique and authentic flavors of Brazilian dishes at the buffet, not to mention the freshness of the Brazilian fruits used in the juices and cocktails. The meat? The difference is there and you can taste it, and when prepared by the master chef, it's top-notch. And to top it off, you can't miss Elaine's exquisite desserts and Angelo's amazing Brazilian liqueurs. Excellent value and impeccable cleanliness.
